Chapter 54 Lai Wutou
As soon as he finished speaking, the wild boar he had wanted yesterday appeared at his feet.
Bai Yangfan raised his chin, motioned for Lu Jingheng to look, and warned: "I'm giving you the thing, don't follow me."
Seeing the woman turn around and leave, Lu Jingheng quickly asked, "Where are you going?"
Turning his head and glancing at the man, Bai Yangfan looked arrogant and said, "What do you think I care?"
The fearless Lu Jingheng pressed the issue again: "Bai Yangfan! Where are you going?"
"Don't ask. I won't tell you even if you ask." I'm going to the black market. Who else would want a wild boar except there?
This guy must be a fool. Why is he asking such an obvious question?
Of course Lu Jingheng knew that she was going to the black market. He wanted to know whether he wanted to go with her, but Bai Yangfan didn't understand.
Maybe she understood, but pretended to be deaf and dumb and ignored him.
It doesn't matter. I'll go find him after he delivers the wild boar. The black market is just one street. Are you afraid that you won't be able to find her?
Seeing her leave without looking back, Lu Jingheng rode his bicycle to where he wanted to go.
Carrying the backpack, Bai Yangfan looked around and saw that no one was paying attention to her, so she went straight to the street leading to the black market.
There were two people at the intersection who looked like they were strolling around, but they were actually looking out for the wind.
Seeing her enter, everyone turned their attention to her. Bai Yangfan was not afraid of anything and walked in slowly.
An older woman came over and asked, "Girl! What do you want to buy? Do you have any fine white rice?"
Bai Yangfan looked at the woman in front of him and shook his head: "No, I want refined flour, do you have any?"
The older sister smiled and pointed to a boy who looked about sixteen or seventeen on the street: "I don't have that thing. Ask him. He knows where to get it."
Bai Yangfan raised her eyes and looked over. Before she could go over, the boy had already walked over with a smile on his face that made everyone love him and flowers bloom.
"Sister! Tell me what you want and I will get it for you." The boy patted his chest, looking very proud and confident that he would keep his word and never lie to anyone.
Pulling the boy aside, Bai Yangfan checked that no one noticed them and said softly, "I'm not here to ask for goods, I'm here to ship them out."
The boy was stunned. "Shipment? Your backpack is empty. There's nothing in it. What are you shipping?"
Seeing the boy pointing at his backpack, Bai Yangfan smiled and replied, "My goods are not here, they are somewhere else. Once we agree on the price, I will take people to get them. If we can't agree on the price, I must not reveal it. Little brother! Do you know anyone who can introduce me? I won't let you help me for nothing. I will give you ten yuan as a labor fee after the job is done."
"What? Give me ten dollars?" The boy rolled his eyes several times, a little unconvinced. He tilted his head and asked Bai Yangfan, "Are you serious?"
"Yes." Bai Yangfan nodded seriously, "It's more real than pearls."
The boy began to believe it, and lowered his voice and asked, "What kind of goods are you selling? Can you tell me? I can arrange for someone to come and negotiate the price for you."
That’s for sure. If you don’t tell people what you are selling, they won’t know who to talk to you about.
Bai Yangfan spoke frankly and honestly: "I'm selling wild boars, three in total. You need to find someone who can eat them. If you can't, forget it."
What? Wild boars? Three? Oh my god! Seeing one wild boar these days is rare, but three! This sister is no ordinary woman. No wonder she said she'd give him ten dollars after the deal was done. For such a big deal, ten dollars wasn't much.
A smile spread across the boy's face. He nodded and introduced himself. "My name is Haozi, that's what everyone on the street calls me. If the wild boar you're talking about is real and you believe me, then follow me. I'll take you to see someone who should be able to eat it."
Without even considering it, Bai Yangfan nodded slightly: "Okay, take me with you. As long as the matter is successful, I promise to pay you a lot of labor fees."
Hearing this, Haozi was extremely happy. This was the most money he had earned in recent years. He had to work hard and be careful not to let Lai Wutou's people mess it up.
Who was Lai Wutou? He was also a black market smuggler. He was said to be unruly, willing to buy anything and do anything. Because his last name was Lai and he was the fifth child in his family, he was nicknamed Lai Wutou.
He was a man of few refinements. He would use any means to get what he wanted. Although the black market was small, it was dominated by two people.
One is Lai Wutou, and the other is the person that Haozi wants to take Bai Yangfan to see.
The man wasn't very old, around thirty, and not very tall, less than 1.7 meters tall, and very thin. If Haozi hadn't brought Bai Yangfan with her, she wouldn't have thought he was the head of the black market.
"Sister! This is Uncle Fan." Bai Yangfan, the rat-like figure, introduced them and turned to Uncle Fan, saying, "Sister said she has three wild boars and is eager to sell them. Uncle Fan! Can we eat them?"
Hearing this, Uncle Fan looked at Bai Yangfan and calmly asked, "How much do your three wild boars weigh?"
Bai Yangfan estimated: "The three together weigh about 800 kilograms, including fur and skin."
Uncle Fan said nothing, thinking for a moment. "Well, I'll give you one yuan per pound. If it's worth it, we'll inspect the goods and estimate the weight and get paid right away. If it's not worth it, you can find someone else."
One dollar per pound doesn't really matter. Last time she sold her wild boar at one dollar per pound.
"Okay, one piece at a time." Bai Yangfan agreed readily. "Find someone to come with me. I'll take you to inspect the goods."
Seeing how happy the girl was, Uncle Fan stood up and said, "No need to look for her anymore. I'll go with Haozi! You guys go wait for me outside."
Needless to say, Bai Yangfan understood that Uncle Fan was going into the house to get the money.
While waiting for him to come out, Bai Yangfan led them to a remote place.
In fact, the wild boar was in her space, and she deliberately said that it was placed somewhere else just to cover up the truth.
Once she found a relatively deserted spot, she would take them out, estimate their weight, take the money, and leave. This deal was complete, and she was a big step closer to her goal.
They walked into an empty, dilapidated house, and Bai Yangfan got the wild boar out of the way before letting Haozi and Uncle Fan get close.
When Haozi saw the three wild boars lying side by side on the ground, his eyes lit up and he looked at Bai Yangfan with admiration.
"Sister! You are amazing! How did you manage to get three wild boars at once? You are so capable."
Bai Yangfan didn't hide anything and told the truth: "I didn't kill this wild boar, I picked it up. They were fighting in groups and killed three of them. I was lucky enough to pick it up."
Uncle Fan checked the wounds on the wild boars and said, "Indeed, they must have been bitten to death. You're lucky, little girl. I estimated that the three wild boars should weigh less than 800 kilograms, but at least 750 kilograms. I'll give you 750 yuan. Is that okay with you?"
