After following the footprints for about ten minutes, the two walked out of a forest.
The soil ahead had become so dry and hard that the footprints were no longer visible.
Fortunately, the leopard left not long ago and the scent was still in the air. Ruyi had a sensitive sense of smell and was able to track it.

The sound of gunfire echoed through the forest at night.

The two returned to the place where the leopard had eaten before and saw a half-eaten roe deer.

Jixiang ran in front of him, making squeaking sounds and gesturing with his hands, probably saying that they were running too fast and he couldn't keep up.
"Go find them, get them back, don't chase them."
Chen Wang communicates using sign language.
Jixiang is very smart. After living with them, he often saw Lin Xiuqin expressing her meaning using sign language, and he could understand some simple ones.
“Chichi!”
Jixiang responded and turned around to look for some dogs.

Afterwards, the two men moved away from the leftover roe deer on the ground, squatted in a bush in the distance, and hid their bodies.
About ten minutes later, Chen Wang and his companion saw the two puppies, Ruyi and Yanwang, coming back and standing beside the silly roe deer, barking and looking for them.
Maybe they ran the slowest and were left behind, and then they came back on their own.
Chen Wang blew the whistle.
