Chapter 67: Face is so useful

"He should not be dead yet. Here's the sack. Put him in it."

Chen Wang picked up the unconscious Zhu Liuzi on the ground and handed it to Chen Dazhuang with a smile.

Chen Dazhuang reached out to take it, took out a sack from his pocket, opened it, and threw the bamboo shovel into it.

"We try to catch them alive so we can sell them at a good price. If they are dead, we can keep them for ourselves."

Chen Wang suggested with a smile.

“Good idea.”

Chen Dazhuang nodded in agreement.

Then, the two continued their search.

Chen Wang did not miss the next two times.

The smaller one was hit by the bullet and immediately lost the ability to move.

After the big one was hit, it wanted to escape back to its nest, but Chen Dazhuang rushed over in time and gave it a shovel.

In less than half an hour, the two caught three.

“That’s a lot of stuff!”

Chen Dazhuang said with some surprise.

"Yes, the villagers certainly didn't expect there would be so many bamboo slips, so not many people came to catch them."

Chen Wang agreed with a smile.

"You don't know, there was a period of time a few years ago when the grain harvest was poor. All the villagers came to this bamboo forest to catch bamboo shoots. They almost killed them all off. Then gradually no one came here. I didn't expect there would be so many now."

Chen Dazhuang explained the reason.

"I see."

Chen Wang nodded suddenly.

He asked what was going on.

This bamboo forest is not far away. The meat of bamboo shoots is delicious and their fur is valuable, so many people should come to catch them.

"Don't tell anyone that we've gone out. We come here every now and then to catch someone. It's good."

Chen Dazhuang smiled and raised his eyebrows, showing an expression that said "you know".

Chen Wang responded with amusement.

Of course, he would not talk nonsense about such good things.

Suddenly, there was a sound of something hitting a trap.

"We've fallen into a trap!"

Chen Wang said in surprise, turned around and ran towards the trap.

Chen Dazhuang also hurriedly followed.

Sure enough, a fat bamboo rat triggered the trap and was caught by the rope around its neck, struggling desperately.

But the more it struggles, the tighter the rope becomes.

Chen Wang squatted down to untie the noose and was almost bitten by those two pairs of big yellow teeth.

He grabbed it by the scruff of the neck, lifted it up, and threw it into the sack.

"Go in! You dare to bite me! Reflect on yourself!"

"Ha ha……"

Chen Dazhuang couldn't help laughing.

When the sack was nearly half full and they had caught about a dozen or so, they felt that it was enough and went home happily.

Give the bamboo rats to Chen Dazhuang to take back. Tomorrow, borrow a cart and drag these bamboo rats and the remaining eggs and meat of the big cannon to the town to sell them for some money.

The next day, after eating the pork and scallion buns made by his wife, Chen Wang gave a few more to his master and Chen Dazhuang, then put on his medicine basket and prepared to go out.

This time the little girl didn't clamor to go with him.

The main reason is that I was so tired from walking there last time.

Moreover, Chen Wang agreed to go to the city, so the little girl felt that there was no need to go to the town.

Of course, she still repeatedly reminded Chen Wang to buy food at the supply and marketing cooperative and bring it back.

As soon as I walked out of the door, I saw Master and Chen Dazhuang coming over. They had already borrowed a cart, which was filled with sacks of bamboo rats and wild boar meat.

"Master, Brother Dazhuang, why are you here so early?"

Chen Wang walked up to him quickly with a look of surprise on his face.

"My dad got up early and immediately borrowed a cart, not Lao Qian's."

Chen Dazhuang grinned.

"Thank you for your hard work, Master."

Chen Wang nodded and said to Chen Jianjun: "Master, you don't have to follow us every time. You can just rest at home today. Brother Dazhuang and I will go."

Chen Jianjun smiled and shook his head. "I don't have anything to do at home, and you still need hunting dogs. The puppies are still too young. If you come across someone selling dogs, I can help you take a look."

Hearing this, Chen Wang didn't know what to say. He took out the cloth bag from the medicine basket and opened it.

"Master, Brother Dazhuang, my wife just made some meat buns, please try them."

“Meat buns!”

Chen Dazhuang's eyes lit up instantly and he reached out and took one.

"Then I'm welcome!"

After saying that, he opened his mouth and took a bite, and half of the meat bun was gone.

"I just had breakfast."

Chen Jianjun glared at his son unhappily.

"It's okay, Master. I brought it specially for you. You can try it too!"

Chen Wang said with a smile.

"Dad, these buns are really delicious, better than the ones sold here, try them."

Chen Dazhuang also joined in with a muffled voice.

Chen Jianjun glanced at him sideways, took one, tasted it, and praised with a surprised look: "How are these buns made? They are really delicious!"

“Right!”

Chen Wang smiled complacently, stuffed the cloth bag to Chen Dazhuang, and took the cart.

"You guys eat first, I'll push the cart."

"Brother, remember to buy me some fruit!"

The little girl stood at the door with Lin Xiuqin, waving her hands again and giving loud instructions.

"knew!"

Chen Wang agreed unhappily, looked at his wife and said, "Wife, let's go!"

Lin Xiuqin nodded with a smile and watched them walk away.

Without the little girl following us today, the journey was much faster.

After arriving in the town, Chen Wang was surprised to find that there were so many people coming and going today.

"Today is the 20th day of the lunar calendar. The 10th, 20th, and 30th day of every lunar month are the days when the town holds a big market."

Chen Jianjun explained the situation with a smile.
