Not long after, Chen Dazhuang came back with a paper bag in his hand.
"Xiaoyu bought it there."
Chen Wang nodded towards the stall over there.
"Yeah, I saw it. Come on, let's eat some of this first."
Chen Dazhuang opened the paper package and found freshly fried cakes inside, which looked golden and crispy.
"I'll just eat one."
Chen Wang reached out, took a piece, opened his mouth and took a bite.
The fried cake is still a little hot, and the texture is just as it looks, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with brown sugar filling inside, which is fragrant and sweet.
He doesn't like sweets very much and feels a bit sick of them after just two bites.
Chen Dazhuang liked it very much. He finished one in three or two bites, then took a big bite of another one and handed the paper bag to him.
"More?"
“No.”

The little girl came back happily, holding one in each hand.

"You ate it all yourself!"

It felt like these were for kids to eat, and he, a grown man, felt embarrassed.
