After moving the last cartload of things into the new house, the three of them were a little tired.
“Gurgle…”
The little girl's stomach suddenly made a sound of protest.
Chen Wang and Lin Xiuqin looked at her with smiles on their faces.
"I, I'm hungry."
The little girl said a little shyly.
It's already 1pm, and I've been packing up, so I'm exhausted.
"Then let's clean up later, wife, and make some food to fill your stomach first."
Chen Wang looked at his wife and said.
Lin Xiuqin smiled and nodded, then turned and walked out.
The kitchen for this home is not in the back, but in a shed on the side.
I walked into the kitchen and took a look. The wood stove was still very clean, the big iron pot had been washed, and there was a lot of neatly stacked firewood behind it.
Chen Wang and the little girl helped to bring the rice, flour, grain, oil, various ingredients and condiments from home to the kitchen and put them in order.
The problem with this family is that they don’t have a well, so they have to carry buckets on a shoulder pole to fetch water from the house next door.
Fortunately, there was still half a tank of water in the tank, and it was very clean, which was enough for today.
Lin Xiuqin first steamed the rice, and then began to wash and process the ingredients.
Chen Wang was also helping out, and he rushed to do some of the physical work without his wife telling him to.
The little girl couldn't help, so she went to pack her own things, taking her clothes, snacks, and various gadgets into the small room and sorting them out.
The three dogs and the little monkey Jixiang were playing in front of the door, and from time to time they would come over and circle around Chen Wang and Lin Xiuqin's feet.
Chen Wang ran back home, fed the pigs in the pigsty, and picked some vegetables in the yard for his wife.
Two dishes, a soup, and white rice, the three of them were full.
After eating and drinking, he moved a chair out, sat outside the door to bask in the sun for a while, then went into the house and started packing.
The family of three took away all the things they could take away, and put the things they couldn't take away into the storage room at the back to make room for them.
"Wife, I'll make the bed, you just fold these clothes and put them in the closet."
Chen Wang brought the mattress and sheets into the room and threw them on the bed, then turned to Lin Xiuqin and said.
Lin Xiuqin smiled and nodded.
After almost everything was cleaned up, the three of them were very tired, so they took a nap.
When I woke up, it was already dark outside.
Lin Xiuqin took the little girl to prepare dinner, while Chen Wang played with the little monkey and three dogs in front of the door.
Just then a middle-aged man from next door came back, and Chen Wang greeted him with a smile.
"Uncle Tao, where did you go?"
"I went to Lao Wang's place to watch them play cards. You guys have already moved in!"
"Yes, I just came here this afternoon."
Chen Wang smiled and nodded.
He didn't know the name of the middle-aged man next door, he only knew that his surname was also Chen. According to seniority, he should call him uncle. He happened to meet him when he came to see the house a few days ago, and the village chief introduced him to call him Uncle Tao.
He looked familiar, too. I had bought his venison at my master's house before.
"Your wife is already cooking, it smells delicious!"
"Yeah, uncle, why don't you come over for dinner and drink together?"
Chen Wang invited tentatively.
"No, no, I'm doing it at home too!"
Uncle Tao smiled and waved his hand to refuse.
"Okay, by the way, Uncle Tao, wait a moment."
Chen Wang suddenly thought of something, turned around and went to the shed, took a piece of pickled and dried wild rabbit meat from the pile of firewood, ran over and handed it to Uncle Tao.
"I'll bring it back for you and add some more."

"Uncle Tao, we have moved here. We need to go to your house to fetch water later. Thank you for your help!"
"It's okay, just fetching water, you can come over anytime, I can't take this."
Chen Wentao pushed his hand.
"Uncle, don't be so hypocritical. Take it."
Chen Wang forced it into his hand.
“You…”
"Nothing, we'll be neighbors for the next few months, and I need your continued care."
"Okay, I'll be welcome then, thank you!"
Chen Wentao thanked him with a smile.
"No thanks, no thanks."
Chen Wang grinned.
"Then I'll go in first."
"OK."
When Chen Wang returned to his doorstep, he saw Ruyi provoking Dahu again without knowing his own limitations, so he kicked him and knocked him over.
Ruyi got up from the ground and called out to him.
"Woof!"
"Yoho, you dare to bark at me? Who gives you food?"
Chen Wang raised his foot again and flipped it over with the instep of his foot.
"Hey, brother, don't bully Ruyi!"
The little girl ran over yelling, picked up Ruyi and touched the dog's head.
"It's getting bolder and bolder. It dares to bark at me. It deserves to be punished."
"I saw it all. You were the one who bullied it first."
"Who told it to overestimate its own capabilities and provoke the big tiger? The big tiger is not willing to pay attention to it."

Chen Wentao carried the rabbit into the kitchen at the back room and placed it in front of his wife who was cutting vegetables.

His wife looked at him in surprise.
"Awang gave it to me. They moved next door this afternoon."
Chen Wentao answered with a smile.
"I saw them hauling things with a cart this afternoon. These Awang people are really nice!"
The wife said with a smile on her face.
