Jiang Jucai couldn't find them. He thought the two women wouldn't cause any major trouble, and if they were in trouble, they would definitely call back for help.
But instead of receiving calls from Wang Xiufen and Jiang Xuanxuan, they received calls from the police station.
While he was still angry, he received a call from his assistant asking him to look at a webpage.
It would have been better if he hadn't looked. But once he did, Jiang Jucai's blood pressure spiked, and he nearly fainted!
"What a misfortune for my family! What a misfortune for my family!" Jiang Jucai slammed his fist on his desk, exasperated. "How could I have ended up with two such clueless women?"
Thinking back to more than 20 years ago, when he had just started his leather goods company, he wanted to achieve instant success and avoid decades of hard work.
He happened to meet Wang Xiuzhen at a bar, and coincidentally, her family was very wealthy. At first, Wang Xiuzhen was lukewarm towards him, but one day she suddenly agreed to date him.
Back in the 1980s, if you hit it off, you got married in about a month. If it were today, it would definitely be considered a whirlwind marriage.
Wang Xiuzhen became pregnant immediately after getting married, and gave birth to Jiang Xuanxuan in February of the following year.
Despite being premature, the baby girl was born healthy and chubby, almost like a full-term baby. He guessed that perhaps she ate well during pregnancy, which might explain her healthy growth.
They were already married, had children, spent their dowries, and started their company. Jiang Jucai felt he could tolerate Wang Xiuzhen's bad temper.
After enduring it for so many years, the situation only escalated, and Jiang Jucai's patience was almost worn out. In addition, his daughter resembled her mother in appearance, temperament, and personality, so she became increasingly unloved by him.
Jiang Jucai sometimes thought that if he had a son, he would probably look more like him. But in the 1980s, the one-child policy was implemented, and in the first few years, it was strictly controlled, and people were not allowed to have children.
Moreover, they have been having sex for many years without stopping or taking any precautions, but Wang Xiuzhen's belly has not shown any signs of pregnancy.
Jiang Jucai quickly pulled himself out of his reverie and began to think of ways to deal with this distressing situation.
He's been avoiding the media lately, so he can't handle this himself. He had to send his assistant to the hospital to check on him and mediate the conflict.
When the assistant arrived at the hospital, the doctor was having Wang Xiuzhen sign the surgical details.
Wang Xiuzhen is currently sitting in the same space as that woman's mother, under the surveillance of police officers, and is in a very bad mood.
When the nurse handed her the documents, she didn't even bother to listen or look at them.
Seeing this, the assistant had no choice but to volunteer and take over the detailed consent form.
"Type B? Are you sure it's Type B? Nurse, would you like to have it checked again?" the assistant asked.
"There's absolutely no mistake." The nurse shook her head. Is there a problem?
"It doesn't match up?" the assistant muttered under his breath. "My boss and his wife are both blood type A."
"Is that so? Then let's check it again. Are there any other problems?"
"Everything else is fine," the assistant nodded.
The blood test was done again, and it was still type B. The assistant had no choice but to take the form to Wang Xiuzhen for her signature.
But the more he thought about it, the more uneasy he felt. When the surgery started, he went to the corner and made a phone call to Jiang Jucai.
"General Manager Jiang."
"Is the matter resolved?" Jiang Jucai asked.
"Miss has already started surgery. It's a minor procedure, nothing dangerous," the assistant nodded. "But..."
"Just what?"
"Mr. Jiang, I remember you have blood type A, right?"
"Yes! Is there a problem?"
"this……"
"explain!"
"The lab report shows... Miss has type B blood, and both tests showed type B."
Is there a problem?
"Madam is also blood type A, so Miss can't possibly be blood type B, right?" The assistant finally voiced his doubts.
Jiang Jucai remained silent on the other end.
"Boss, could it be... that they were switched at birth at the hospital?" the assistant asked, somewhat uncertainly.
"I understand. Don't make a fuss yet. Have the hospital draw a vial of blood from both Miss and Madam. I'll send my blood sample over another day." Jiang Jucai squinted. "Don't make a sound!"
After the assistant made the assurance, they started thinking of a solution.
Jiang Xuanxuan's blood is easy to obtain; just ask a nurse. But how do you get the madam's blood?
Across the corridor, the assistant watched Wang Xiuzhen for a full ten minutes before coming up with a solution.
He went to the nurses' station, found a nurse, handed her the money, said hello, and then returned to the operating room.
The nurse who had taken the money arrived quickly, carrying a tray with surgical instruments and glassware.
After exchanging a glance with her assistant, she walked over to Wang Xiuzhen's side, but suddenly slipped and knocked the contents of the plate over Wang Xiuzhen.
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" The nurse quickly apologized, and when she reached out to pick up the shards of glass, she deliberately used too much force, cutting a small gash on Wang Xiuzhen's skin.
"Ah! What are you doing? Get out of the way!" Wang Xiuzhen pushed the nurse away.
The nurse was still apologizing, and while apologizing, she pressed the call button to have someone come and draw blood.
"Head Nurse, I'm so sorry!" She bowed her head to the head nurse to admit her mistake. "I was cut by glass and need a blood test because I'm worried about infection."
A cut from a utensil is no small matter. The head nurse was also worried. After drawing blood from the junior nurse, she went to Wang Xiuzhen to explain and apologize.
Upon hearing that she would have to have her blood drawn, Wang Xiuzhen initially disagreed. She had already been cut, why should she be pricked with a needle? However, the head nurse explained the dangers of blood infection, and the assistant mentioned things like rabies, which scared her into obediently having her blood drawn.
The test only showed 5cc, but the nurse said it was her fault and wanted to make amends, so she secretly drew 10cc.
