"Ideals? I don't have any grand ideals. I just want to make a lot of money, become a financial tycoon, and then get a lot of commission from Zhou Pengfei!" Yang Yajing said, her words sounding both true and false.
"What are financial giants?" Chen Jiaoyun asked Zhou Pengfei in a low voice. "Do you know?"
"I don't know, but it's definitely a profitable business! She's a capitalist, a little money-grubber!" Zhou Pengfei was much more relaxed now and even knew how to make fun of people.
"Oh? Such lofty ambitions and you say you have no ambitions?" Chen Baiyun laughed.
"Actually, whether it works out or not doesn't matter much." Yang Yajing said this quite seriously. "I just want my parents to have an easier life. It would be best if they didn't have to work and could be supported by me!"
"Hahaha! What a filial piety!" Chen Baiyun nodded. "Young lady, I have high hopes for you! Don't forget your original intentions just because you have money!"
"I won't forget it! Don't worry, Grandpa Chen!" Yang Yajing smiled sweetly.
"Hey! Yang Yajing!" Chen Jiaoyun winked at Yang Yajing with one eye. "When you're rich, remember to pay a high price for a few more of my paintings? Support me too, okay?"
"What a disappointment!" Upon hearing this, Chen Baiyun glared helplessly at Chen Jiaoyun. This granddaughter is truly... indescribable!
As we chatted, it got late.
Chen Jiaoyun, however, was still not satisfied and insisted on going home with Yang Yajing for a free meal.
"Let's go! I'll treat you to red bean rolls and shaved ice!" Yang Yajing said generously.
"Yay! Grandpa! I'm going to mooch a meal! Remember to tell Dad to pick me up a little later tonight!" With that, she happily skipped off after the two of them...
