Chapter 45 is another workbook.

After that, Jin Yiyi regarded Yang Yajing as a thorn in her side.

Chen Jiaoyun couldn't argue with him, and Zhou Pengfei was just a bystander to her. Only Yang Yajing, whom she saw every day in class, became her imaginary enemy.

Yang Yajing isn't afraid! She was the same way in her previous life:

Jiang Xuanxuan feigns pitifulness, but is the mastermind behind it all; Pang Yan is a smiling paper tiger, acting as a good guy's strategist; and Jin Yiyi is just a scapegoat, getting beaten up without even realizing it!

However, Pang Yan, as a strategist, is at best a Hannibal Lecter, and has virtually no advantage compared to Yang Yajing, a "divine strategist" who knows everything.

Calculating the time, it's almost time for my next match against Jin Yiyi.

In her previous life, when the sickly class representative for Chinese was hospitalized again, Jin Yiyi volunteered to help the teacher collect homework.

However, instead of being helpful, she secretly tore up Yang Yajing's homework and threw it into the trash can.

When the students on duty took out the trash, they found out. By then, Yang Yajing had already been punished by standing in the corner, written a self-criticism, and completely lost face.

Moreover, in her previous life, Chen Jiaoyun hadn't stood up for her, and she didn't have much interaction with Zhou Pengfei, who was in another school.

Going it alone, she was bound to be bullied from time to time. The top classes in her prestigious high school were full of aloof bookworms, and no one cared about other people's business.

Moreover, not only do they not care, they also point fingers and gossip, using it as a pastime after class. In a group devoid of any sense of justice, everyone is a fence-sitter, selfish and self-serving.

As expected, the class representative for Chinese was absent early that morning.

Yang Yajing took out her homework from her schoolbag and handed it to Jin Yiyi, just like in her previous life. After handing it in, she even smiled at Jin Yiyi.

"What are you laughing at? You'll be sorry later!" Jin Yiyi thought to herself.

Sure enough, Yang Yajing saw Jin Yiyi pull out her homework and hide it in her coat.

When I saw her come back from the teacher's office again, she actually went to the trash can and threw away a large crumpled piece of paper.

The Chinese class wasn't until the third period, and there were still five minutes until the first math class. Yang Yajing stood up.

"Yang Yajing, class is about to start, where are you going?" My deskmate is a short and serious little girl named Huang Xiaojing.

"I drank too much soy milk this morning, I need to go to the restroom," Yang Yajing said with a slight smile.

"Then hurry up, don't be late for class!"

Yang Yajing nodded and ran out.

The Chinese class finally started. Yang Yajing turned around and glanced at Jin Yiyi, who seemed a little excited.

"Let you have some more fun? We'll see what fate has in store for you later!" The two of them thought of the same thing at the same time.

The teacher, holding a thick stack of homework, began with praise and criticism as usual.

In my previous life, the person who received praise was the class representative who didn't show up but had their homework delivered by their parents.

But this life is different.

This assignment is to write a reflection on Zengzi's "Xue Er".

The Analects, Book 1, Chapter 1, is probably familiar to everyone: I examine myself thrice daily: Have I been disloyal in serving others? Have I been untrustworthy in dealing with friends? Have I neglected to practice what I have been taught?

Most students focused on writing about their own practice and determination in these "three reflections," but Yang Yajing took a different approach.

She quoted historical anecdotes from the Three Kingdoms period, describing Lü Bu's scheming yet disloyal nature, his seemingly glorious success ultimately leading to his tragic downfall; she also wrote about Shang Yang's reforms, which won people's hearts through integrity; and the stories of the oil jar seller and Yi Qiu's regret.

She concluded with a parable about climbing a wall in a straight line, never reaching the top because of a lack of flexibility.

The teacher didn't call on students first, but instead began explaining the stories. Yang Yajing knew immediately that she had written them.

"Yang Yajing, tell me, what do these stories express?" The Chinese teacher called on Yang Yajing's name.

"The ruble changed hands many times, lacking loyalty, which is why it lost its backing and was besieged by Cao Cao with no one to help it. So one should not be a fence-sitter." Yang Yajing said, making funny faces, which made everyone laugh.

"Shang Yang was able to successfully complete such a difficult task because of his integrity. If you want to achieve great things, you can't just focus on petty gains and rely on skirting the rules!"

"As for reviewing... let's just not study by rote, and concentrate in class so we don't have to cram before the exam! That's too tiring! I can't do it!"

"Hahahaha!" Her classmates laughed again at her cowardly appearance.

The teacher nodded before saying to everyone, "So, don't let your minds wander in class!"

Everyone's faces turned up in disgust.

After saying all this, the Chinese teacher announced the name of the student who wrote this reading response: Yang Yajing.

"Impossible!" Jin Yiyi blurted out as soon as she heard the teacher reading Yang Yajing's homework.

"Jin Yiyi, why is it impossible?" the teacher asked with a smile.

"Yang Yajing didn't hand in her homework at all, how could she have written it?" Jin Yiyi persisted.

"Jin Yiyi, I clearly handed in my homework to you this morning, didn't I? Everyone saw it, Huang Xiaojing, you saw it too, right?"

Huang Xiaojing nodded when her name was called.

"Jin Yiyi, you must be honest. When you meet classmates who are better than you, you should learn from them instead of doubting them." The teacher said seriously.

"Teacher! I'm not lying, she really didn't hand in her homework!" Jin Yiyi said anxiously.

"The workbook is right here. The teacher won't mistake the name on it, will she?" The Chinese teacher frowned.

Jin Yiyi didn't believe it, and regardless of whether class was in session, she rushed from the back row to the podium, picked up the homework, and checked it repeatedly.

"Well? Is this Yang Yajing's homework? If so, go back to your seat and continue the lesson!" The teacher shook her head, thinking: What's wrong with Jin Yiyi?
