Time flies, and in just a few weeks, Yang Yajing has found someone to take over the studio.
I sold almost all the equipment, signed the transfer agreement, and changed the registration at the industrial and commercial bureau. That basically settled that part.
After receiving the transfer fee, Yang Yajing added two top-of-the-line computers to her original studio space and also ordered a 40-inch digital tablet.
After all that was done, there was hardly any transfer fee left. Yang Yajing planned to have Zhou Pengfei handle the rest of the materials.
Before the start of the semester, Yang Yajing and Zhou Pengfei decided on the name for their studio—"A Flourishing Script." After registering it at a later time, the two suddenly felt a sense of reality.
"We really have an illustration studio?" Zhou Pengfei looked at the registered trademark, feeling a little excited.
"Yes! Keep it up!" Yang Yajing smiled. "You've already taken the first step on your path to becoming an artist!"
"But... what kind of business should we take?" Zhou Pengfei was at a loss again.
"Let's ask Guan Yue first if any publishing houses need illustrations. Let's start small and not rush to make big money." Yang Yajing knew that this was starting from scratch again.
"Yes!" Zhou Pengfei nodded. "One day, I will make our studio profitable!"
Zhou Pengfei also knew that such a studio could not generate income from the beginning, but he was not short of money to support his family, nor did he have a family to support.
Soon, Guan Yue received several business deals, but they were all small deals, costing a few hundred or a thousand yuan.
From new authors' book covers to magazine illustrations, Zhou Pengfei takes on any job he can, without any reservations.
Several weeks passed, and Zhou Pengfei was about to start school.
"Chen Jiaoyun!" Yang Yajing made a phone call, "Bring the car over and help me move!"
"Are you moving?" Chen Jiaoyun asked.
"No, it's because Zhou Pengfei is starting school soon, and one car isn't enough to hold him."
"Oh! My junior brother is finally going to university! Wait for me! I'll be right there!" She hung up the phone after saying that.
Yang Yajing looked at her phone and shook her head. She hadn't even given the address yet!
I just held the phone and waited. Sure enough, less than two minutes later, the phone rang again: "I forgot to ask, where are you?"
"I'm at my place now! We'll meet downstairs at Zhou Pengfei's place in half an hour." Yang Yajing added after saying that, "Now you can hang up without worry!"
After handing Zhou Pengfei a set of keys, Yang Yajing picked up her bag, went downstairs, and got into her car.
Having already secured accommodation, Zhou Pengfei went there a day early.
The first time I saw his little world, it was a two-bedroom apartment with a living room. Both bedrooms faced south, and the living room faced north with a balcony.
The kitchen is small, the bathroom has a shower room, and even the washing machine is already installed.
Inside the house, Yang Yajing had already bought the furniture.
A partition wall was installed in front of the living room door, and on the other side of the partition wall were a sofa and a TV cabinet. There was a square table and four dining chairs near the balcony.
The telephone and internet cables are already connected, and the bedroom is furnished; it's move-in ready.
"Great deal!" Chen Jiaoyun looked around and exclaimed, "You've made a good deal at 350 a month!"
“Yes! It’s great to have a landlord friend!” Zhou Pengfei laughed as well.
"It's only two subway stops from here to the school, very convenient," Yang Yajing said, pointing to the subway station not far away.
"Okay! Thanks!"
"Ugh! I don't want to go home! Shall we stay next door tonight?" Chen Jiaoyun looked at the big bed in the room and suddenly wanted to play house.
"If Zhou Pengfei has no objections, then please feel free to do as you please," Yang Yajing said with a smile.
"He dares to complain? You're the landlord, don't let him get away with this! I'm doing the work, let him treat me!" Chen Jiaoyun said, then lay down on the large bed next door, feeling quite uncomfortable!
"Senior sister, you must be treating us to a meal after driving all that way!" Zhou Pengfei readily agreed. "What would you like to eat?"
"Hot pot! Hot pot!" Chen Jiaoyun jumped up. "Ah! No! Let's have steak instead! It's too hot!"
Speaking of the hot weather, Yang Yajing remembered: "The air conditioner is installed, and the remote control is in the drawer of the TV cabinet."
"Hey! Yang Yajing! Why didn't you say so earlier? You made me all sweaty!" I carried it up and down several times, how come this person doesn't remember there's an air conditioner here?
"Lord Chen, would you like hot pot or steak? Once you've decided, please proceed." Yang Yajing asked Chen Jiaoyun.
Let's have hot pot!
After eating hot pot and buying things for their overnight stay at the supermarket, the three of them chatted until late into the night at Zhou Pengfei's "new home," all very excited.
Since they were already there, and it was time to register the next day, Yang Yajing simply drove Zhou Pengfei to the school.
There are only about 70 or 80 new students at Huamei. They are probably moving their things into the dorms, and many of them came by car.
Zhou Pengfei arrived a little late because he didn't need to move.
In the parking lot, Yang Yajing spotted the person she had come to find.
Yes! Yang Yajing wasn't just passing by; she had already planned to drive Zhou Pengfei to report for duty.
Because she wanted to help him choose a roommate, someone she also wanted to connect with.
"Hey classmate, everyone says to move things inside, why are you moving them outside?" Yang Yajing asked, feigning curiosity.
"The dorm conditions are terrible, the place is small, and there's no internet. I brought so much stuff, but there's no room for it!" The person looked somewhat annoyed.
"What did you bring that you can't put in?" Yang Yajing thought it was impossible! How much stuff do you need to bring to the dorm?
Then she looked at the SUV's trunk: "You're moving dorms and you're bringing a color TV with you?"
"Movie buff, your computer monitor is too small!" the man said, gesturing to the screen. "Are you here to report for duty too?"
