Chapter 1366 Night Market Victims

There were broken walls and ruins everywhere; people with missing limbs, huddled in corners, lying on the ground groaning, and fires that had not been put out in time. The whole street was filled with people running around in a chaotic mess.

The little girl sitting on the big rock beside the stone archway saw Chu Xixuan and Lan Ziye coming, and she quickly jumped off the rock and saluted respectfully, saying, "Master, Madam!"

"What's going on?" Chu Xixuan asked with a gloomy expression.

"It's someone from the Wan family!" the little girl said. "Last night when the night market opened, a masked man entered. I told him he couldn't enter the market because he couldn't see his true face. He told me his last name was Wan!"

"Wan family?" Chu Xixuan asked coldly.

"Well! Since he told me his last name, it was difficult for me to stop him. But fortunately, I didn't stop him. If I had stopped him, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to report the situation to the eldest master now!" said the little girl.

Chu Xixuan simply responded calmly, "Go on!"

"That person released a lot of monsters when he entered the night market! They rushed around, biting everyone, whether demon or human. It was really scary! So...so I was so scared that I hid!" The little girl said, her head buried deeply. "You can ask Master Bluebird about what happened later!"

"Okay, go back!" Chu Xixuan said coldly.

"Thank you, young master!" The little girl responded and returned to the big rock.

"Is it a stone monster?" Lan Ziye didn't notice it the last time he came, but this time he discovered the faint monster aura on the little girl.

"I guess so! Its true form is a piece of jade! It surrendered to the Blue Bird in its early years, so I let her watch the door here! But now it seems that guarding the door is not suitable for her!" Chu Xixuan said casually.

"It's because she didn't stop the Wan family!" Lan Ziye said with a calm smile, "She's right. Even if she tried, she might not be able to stop them!"

Chu Xixuan turned to look at Lan Ziye and said with a smile: "So I have to find a more powerful gatekeeper in the future!"

Lan Ziye smiled and said, "That's true. After all, the world is beginning to become unstable!"

Chu Xixuan and Lan Ziye arrived at the Blue Bird Pawnshop and saw a room full of people. They were chattering about something, but when they saw Chu Xixuan coming, they immediately shut up and looked at him.

Chu Xixuan just glanced at those people coldly, then looked at the blue bird in the main seat and asked, "What's going on?"

Bluebird stood up and saluted respectfully, then glanced at those people and said, "These people's shops have suffered losses of varying sizes, and they've come to seek justice!"

"Ask for an explanation? When did I ever say I'd keep you safe?" Chu Xixuan sneered, "I don't think it's written in our agreement!"

"But we opened a shop here because we relied on you being the owner of the night market and no one dared to mess with you. Now my shop is completely ruined, two of our employees are dead, and we have suffered heavy losses!" One of the short and fat shop owners wailed.

"What kind of business are you running? Don't you have any idea?" Chu Xixuan asked. "Shouldn't you have anticipated this kind of attack? Where are your warriors? You wouldn't open a shop like this without warriors to guard it, right?"

Everyone was speechless. They were engaged in shady business, making a living by walking on the edge of a knife. Originally, according to their cautious style, there were many warriors guarding them. But since they came to the night market, the dangerous business became less dangerous. After all, no one dared to cause trouble in the night market, so they tried to save money and dismissed all those warriors!
