Chapter 427 Grandpa, I miss you so much.

As the announcement continued that the train had arrived at the station, it slowly entered the station and stopped.

Zhou Jiao couldn't help but smile as she set foot in the capital again, about to see her father. She especially let out a sweet laugh as she saw the figure standing upright on the platform, echoing throughout the train car.

"Mom, my grandpa, grandpa..." Ping'an saw several people in military uniforms outside the window, and soon found Zhou Xiaozheng. He banged on the window and shouted loudly.

"Little ancestor, please don't take any pictures. Jiaojiao, please watch your son." Zhang Guoqing was frightened when he saw this and quickly stopped him. If he got excited, not only glass but also steel would not be enough for his son to take pictures.

Zhou Jiao waved vigorously at Zhou Xiaozheng. Seeing that he noticed, she looked around at the luggage and belongings, "Brother, we still have to wait for the cart. Let's go down first."

Zhang Guoqing had already seen his father-in-law walking towards him, and he thought he would get in the car soon. He shook his head and said, "Don't bother Liu Ming, he's busy right now. You take the child down, Xiao Wang and I will carry him."

In the next car, a middle-aged man nudged his companion and said, "See, I was right. Next door is Zhang Guoqing's family, and the high-ranking official down there is his father-in-law."

"Haha, let's get off first. These people are too far away from us. It's better not to get close to them."

"What are you talking about? We don't go over to help, okay?"

"Come on, they've brought a bunch of guards, they still need us. Let's go."

Although Zhang Guoqing didn't listen carefully, he still heard it clearly. He smiled but didn't move forward. Fate will always bring us together. Once you've arrived in Beijing, many things can no longer be handled casually.

Outside, Zhou Jiao, holding her son, successfully reunited with Zhou Xiaozheng.

"Grandpa, I miss you so much."

Zhou Xiaozheng took him over and asked, "Did you behave well in the car?"

"I'm a good baby, a good child. Grandpa, you haven't told me you missed me yet."

Zhou Xiaozheng patted his head and said, "Grandpa misses you so much, every day. He hopes you'll come home safely. He even bought you a lot of toys. Are you happy?"

Zhou Jiao listened to the conversation between the grandparents and grandchildren, looked at her father, and frowned slightly. She turned her head to look at Xiao Wang and the others, and they had indeed lost a lot of weight.

The situation was not right, and she couldn't ask them, "Dad, let Ping'an come down, and you take him away. Is everything okay at home? Is my mom on a business trip?"

"It's okay, Dad is holding you well. I'm worried that you have too many things, so your mom is waiting for you at home with your aunt."

"Then let's go."

Zhou Xiaozheng looked towards the distance and saw his son-in-law saying goodbye to someone. "Okay, let's go."

The group got on the car and it was already dark when they arrived at the compound. Lin Lishan was walking back and forth alone under the street lights at the gate of Zhou's compound. When she saw the car, she ran forward happily.

"Mom, slow down." Zhou Jiao smiled and shook her head, shouting worriedly.

Following her voice, many people came out of the yard one after another.

Seeing this, Zhang Guoqing smiled and said, "Ping An, come and call someone."

Old Cheng took the child by the hand and said, "Our little Ping'an is really energetic. Don't make things difficult for the child. Let's go inside first."

Cheng Ruzhu patted Zhou Jiao and said, "Well done! You went to college as promised. I admire you!"

"Aunt, why are you here too? I'll come to see you tomorrow, too."

"I don't have anything to do, so I stopped by to see you. Are you tired from the ride?"

A group of people came into the living room chatting. Aunt Chen came out of the kitchen and said cheerfully, "Shall I set the table?"

Zhou Xiaozheng nodded.

Old Mrs. Cheng quickly shouted, "Don't prepare our meal, we've already eaten."

Zhou Jiao stood up and said, "I'll go to the kitchen and cook two dishes to go with the wine. Everyone, please eat some more."

"Come sit down and rest for a while. You don't need to go to the kitchen. Come over for a drink next time. It's getting late. We'll just sit for a while and then leave."

How could Zhou Jiao let them leave like this? She took out a piece of luggage and went to the kitchen.

When Aunt Chen saw her, she nodded repeatedly, "Luckily you didn't lose weight, and your complexion looks good this time."

Zhou Jiao laughed out loud, "Aunt, I've gained weight."

Aunt Chen saw that she was about to help, so she quickly pushed her out and said, "I can handle these cooked foods. You go over and chat with them. They're worried about you when you're not at home."

"Okay, I'll go. Aunt, thank you for your help."

"What are you talking about? Get out now. We'll have your favorite dishes for dinner. Eat more."

Zhou Jiao felt so good to be home. This was the life she had always dreamed of.

After dinner, the family saw the Cheng family off and could finally talk about their own affairs in peace.

In the study, Aunt Chen served tea, closed the door and left.

Zhou Xiaozheng looked at his daughter and nodded with satisfaction. She seemed to be doing well, and her personality was much more cheerful this time.

"Dad, why have you lost weight? Did the health doctor say anything?" Zhang Guoqing noticed while eating that someone was reluctant to speak just now, and now he couldn't wait to ask.

Zhou Xiaozheng stopped his wife by shaking his hand. "I've been having meetings every day lately, and my diet has been a bit off due to business trips. It should be fine in a few days."

After he finished speaking, he saw Zhou Jiao staring at him suspiciously.

He smiled and said, "The doctor said there's no problem, what else could be wrong?"

Zhang Guoqing shook his head slightly at Zhou Jiao. He probably still didn't like the food. His father-in-law and his daughter had the same taste: they wouldn't eat much of anything solid; they had to eat fresh food. He'd ask his health care provider tomorrow to confirm. He wasn't worried about being thin, but would they still worry about not being able to take care of him at home?

"Is everything arranged at home?"

Zhou Jiao nodded, "Now we're just waiting for the report here."

"Really? You really don't want Dad to intervene? There are so many people in one dormitory. Can you get used to it? And eating is inconvenient. Do you want to reconsider? How about Dad contacting the school and getting you a single dormitory?"

When he said that, Zhou Jiao was so scared that she quickly shook her hands, "Dad, please don't look for anyone else. There are many people in the compound who can adapt. I can definitely do it. If not, I'll look for you."

Zhou Xiaozheng shook his head and smiled, "Okay, I'll listen to you. Sign up first, and then find someone else if it doesn't work out. Dad wants you to go to college so that you can relax. If it's too tiring, don't go.

I also suggest you don't bring your child with you. The conditions at the compound's nursery are better than outside. Even if your mother and I go to work, we still have your aunt and Aunt Chen at home."

Lin Lishan nodded and continued, "Mom went to ask around. The food at the nursery over there is not good, and there are only a few temporary workers taking care of the children. Besides, apart from your classes in the morning, the afternoons are basically full of activities, some of which are unnecessary. It's better to let Ping'an stay at home. If anything happens, we will see you. The compound often has a shuttle bus to your school, so if you have time in the afternoon, please come back if you want your children."

Zhang Guoqing looked at Ping'an. He felt uneasy without his child. It wasn't that he was worried about the child being bullied, but rather that he thought of his own longing for his parents when he was little.

"Dad, I'll go explore the route tomorrow morning. If it's an hour's drive, or if the bus is convenient, I don't plan to live out there. I'll just come back with Jiaojiao every day."

There were some things he needed to see with his own eyes. His hesitation now was that, as his father-in-law had said, the child couldn't be brought to school. What if the two of them had an event and Ping'an was left alone in the nursery? He didn't plan to tell Zhou Jiao about this, though, to avoid worrying her.

Zhou Jiao didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "There are buses. You don't need to be so nervous. Tomorrow I'll go to the school to report the situation and apply for day study. I won't give up my dormitory. You see, this is absolutely fine."

Zhou Xiaozheng knew his daughter wouldn't listen to anyone if she got stubborn. He nodded, "Then you go to school tomorrow and see what they say. Xiaowu and I still have something to talk about. You take Ping'an back to the room first."
