Chapter 103: Bought Two Bicycles

Fang Jie was startled by Song Fanxing's actions.

"Honey, what's wrong?"

Song Fanxing: "Mom, take the bowl away, I'm not eating."

After saying that, she went to wash up.

Fang Jie was worried that she would go hungry, so she brought the bowl over to her after she finished washing up.

"Honey, just eat a little bit, or you'll feel terrible if you can't sleep because you're hungry."

Song Fanxing shook her head firmly.

"I'm not eating, I'm going to sleep."

She went into the room, closed the door, and lay in bed, too hungry to sleep.

However, she is a person with perseverance.

If you stick with it for a few more nights, you'll get used to it and won't feel hungry anymore.

I skipped dinner for a week, but ate breakfast and lunch normally.

Song Fanxing lost five pounds.

She looked at herself in the mirror and was very satisfied.

She was overjoyed, but Song Darong and Fang Jie had been heartbroken during this time.

That day, Song Fanxing suggested that she wanted to buy a bicycle.

Fang Jie waved her hand.

"Buy it! I'll have your dad take you to the department store in the provincial capital tomorrow to pick one out."

Song Darong: "No problem, I have two bicycle tickets, and I happen to have tomorrow off, so I'll go first thing in the morning."

Bicycles were still in short supply; you needed a ticket to buy one.

Fang Jie: "Take the military vehicle. You drive it yourself. Give Xiao Li a day off. Don't bother him with everything."

"Okay, I'll drive it myself."

Song Darong can drive, but Xiao Li usually drives for him.

Fang Jie, still worried, reminded him, "Drive carefully."

"knew."

The next morning, Fang Jie got up and made breakfast for them.

After having breakfast, Song Fanxing and Song Darong set off for the provincial capital.

This was Song Fanxing's second time visiting the provincial capital.

The first time was when I first came to join the army; the train's final stop was the provincial capital.

However, I went straight to the military base after getting off the bus, so I didn't have a chance to explore properly.

The provincial capital is much bigger and more prosperous than the county town; you can buy almost anything there.

Along the way, Song Fanxing bought a lot of trinkets.

Finally, the father and daughter arrived at the department store.

Knowing that her father had two bicycle tickets, Song Fanxing chose two Phoenix brand bicycles, each costing 180 yuan, for a total of 360 yuan, plus the two bicycle tickets.

Without blinking.

The sales staff at the department store were completely astonished.

Song Darong didn't ask his daughter why she bought two bicycles; to him, it wouldn't matter if she bought ten.

Song Fanxing asked the staff to install the bicycle.

Song Darong said, "Girl, how are we going to get the bicycle home after we assemble it?"

Song Fanxing winked at him playfully.

"Dad, I have a way."

It took Song Darong a while to realize that his daughter had that kind of space.

Then he fell silent.

They left only after the staff installed the bicycles and they had a test ride and found no problems.

The two rode their bicycles to a deserted alley, where Song Fanxing stored the bicycles into her spatial storage right in front of Song Darong.

Song Darong tried his best to appear calm.

The two then returned to the department store.

Song Fanxing bought herself two sets of clothes, both simple and comfortable, so that it would be convenient for her to ride a bicycle.

I bought two outfits for Fang Jie, similar in style to hers, like mother-daughter outfits.

Just as Song Darong was about to get jealous, Song Fanxing picked up a suit and held it up against him.

Song Darong chuckled, "Daughter, are you buying me clothes?"

"Wow, Dad, you look really handsome in a suit!"

Song Darong didn't look at the suit; he didn't even notice what color it was.

All I know is that my daughter praises him for being handsome.

He was secretly delighted.

Song Fanxing picked out two suits for Song Darong.

After leaving the department store, the father and daughter went to eat at a state-run restaurant in the provincial capital.

To be honest, although the chef's dishes were delicious, she still preferred her mother's cooking.

That's the taste that belongs only to mom.

After the two had eaten and drunk their fill, they returned home satisfied.

In the car, Song Darong asked, "Daughter, how much did we spend today?"

Song Fanxing silently did some calculations.

"It cost 1562 yuan."

Song Darong chuckled, "Our trip wasn't in vain, it was worth it."

Song Fanxing didn't feel sorry for her either.

They can earn money now, so they should spend it as they see fit.

Song Darong: "Daughter, lean back in the chair and take a nap. I'll wake you up when we get home."

Song Fanxing was really tired, so she obediently closed her eyes and fell asleep in no time.

Song Darong drove for three hours to get back to his unit.

Song Fanxing carried the two empty bicycle boxes into the house.

Song Darong then came in carrying large and small bags.

Fang Jie looked at the cardboard box; it was empty.

"Honey, where's the bicycle?"

"Here."

Song Fanxing took out a bicycle from her spatial storage.

"My God! You bought two!"

"Okay, one for me, one for you."

Fang Jie waved her hand, "I can't ride."

"I'll teach you."

Song Fanxing took a sip of water and said with a smile.

She can not only ride a bicycle, but also drive a car.

Fang Jie didn't take her daughter's words seriously.

She felt that she was too old to learn to ride a bicycle, and what if she broke a bone?

What else did you buy?

Song Fanxing said happily, "There are so many, Mom, I bought you clothes."

Song Fanxing presented the clothes as if they were a treasure.

Fang Jie was deeply moved.

"Daughter..."

Song Fanxing pushed her into the room.

"Go try it on, I picked it out myself."

Song Darong chimed in, "Yes, our daughter is thinking of you. She'll buy you clothes when she gets there."
