After the family finished eating, Han Yixian loaded all the things He Yuhan had prepared into the car. He Yuhan said goodbye to her parents and then drove with Han Yixian to the Jiang family's house.
On the way, Han Yi first thought of the phone number of Shuguang Tractor Factory and said, "Yuhan, Liu Jiangtao, the director of Shuguang Tractor Factory, and his team went to Laohewan Village to look for you. Since you weren't there, they came here instead."
They studied the drawings you gave them and encountered some problems, so they'd like your help to resolve them. I'm extremely busy lately and can't go with you, so please ask them to wait a bit.
He Yuhan said, "I don't need you to come with me. I can have someone else follow me. I don't think those bad guys would be so blatant in the city."
Han Yixian firmly stated, "No, I don't trust anyone else to accompany you; it has to be me. I've already sent people to investigate that group, and we'll have some leads soon. You can only move around freely after these dangers are eliminated. Otherwise, I won't feel at ease."
He Yuhan said helplessly, "Okay, then we'll talk about it when you have time. You can make an appointment with them."
He Yuhan wouldn't argue with Han Yixian about these things; Han Yixian was only doing it for her own good.
Han Yi drove to the alley where the Jiang family lived, and the two of them unloaded some things from the car and knocked on the Jiang family's door.
Jiang Bowen was very happy to see Sister Yuhan and Brother Han when he opened the courtyard gate. "Sister Yuhan, Brother Han, what brings you here? It's cold outside, come inside quickly."
After the group went inside and put their things down, He Yuhan said, "Bowen, there are still some things in the car. Come with us to get them."
Jiang Bowen said, "Sister Yuhan, why did you bring so many things again? We don't need anything, please stop sending us things."
Jiang Zhaonian saw the pile of things on the living room floor and said, "Yes, Yuhan, you always bring so much stuff when you come. We can't take any more of your stuff."
He Yuhan said, "Grandpa Jiang, isn't it almost Chinese New Year? How about I wish you a Happy New Year in advance and bring you some New Year's gifts? We're all family here, so please don't stand on ceremony with me."
“Yes, Yuhan has wanted to come see you for a long time, but I’ve been too busy with work lately and can only come today. Bowen, come on, let’s move some things so your sister Yuhan can talk to your grandpa and grandma.” With that, Han Yixian walked out.
He Yuhan gave Jiang Bowen a push and said, "Go on, Bowen, go with Brother Han to move things."
Jiang Bowen had no choice but to follow him out.
He Yuhan took out a thick, dark purple coat from her bag and handed it to Jiang Xiyue, who was standing to the side, saying, "Xiyue, I made you a coat. I don't know if it will fit. Try it on. If it doesn't fit, it can be altered."
Most clothes in this era were gray, black, or blue. In He Yuhan's opinion, although crimson was not very suitable for a young girl like Jiang Xiyue, it was still a rare color for clothing at the time. She didn't dare to make clothes that were too brightly colored for Jiang Xiyue.
Jiang Xiyue's eyes lit up when she saw the dress; she immediately fell in love with the dress that Sister Yuhan had made for her.
Because her family lacked cloth ration coupons, the clothes she wore in previous years were all altered from her brother's outgrown clothes. It was only this year, when her older sister Yuhan gave the family some fabric, that her grandmother made her a new dress.
The remaining fabric was used to make an outfit for my eldest brother, who needed to dress presentably for work, and also for my grandfather. My grandmother herself hadn't made new clothes in many years; many of her old clothes were patched upon patched.
Her older brother went to work and received a work uniform, so the fabric at home became a bit looser, but she had never worn clothes with such bright colors and such thick fabric before.
Jiang Xiyue knew from the color that this was specially made for her by her older sister Yuhan. But her family had already received so many things from Yuhan, how could they possibly accept such beautiful clothes again? She looked at the clothes, then turned to look at her grandparents.
Seeing Jiang Xiyue's expression of liking but not daring to accept the clothes, He Yuhan shoved them into the little girl's hands and said, "These are clothes that your older sister made especially for you. If you don't take them, no one else can wear them, which would be a waste. Go on, try them on and let your older sister see."
Grandma Jiang sighed, wiped her eyes, and said, "Yuhan, you've really gone to a lot of trouble. You even made clothes for Xiyue."
After saying that, she turned to her granddaughter and said, "Alright, since your sister Yuhan specially made it for you, just accept it. Thank you, sister Yuhan."
Upon hearing her grandmother speak, Jiang Xiyue happily said, "Thank you, Sister Yuhan. I'll try on the clothes and show them to you."
As she spoke, the little girl happily took the clothes and went inside to try them on.
Before long, Jiang Xiyue came out of the bedroom wearing new clothes. "Sister Yuhan, what do you think?"
He Yuhan nodded and said, "Not bad, it fits quite well. Luckily I made it a little bigger, otherwise the clothes would be too small. You're growing up so fast, little girl."
Grandma Jiang was happy to see her granddaughter wearing new clothes. Touching the clothes, she said, "Thanks to your help this year, we've been eating much better than before, and the child has started to grow taller."
At this moment, Jiang Bowen followed Han Yixian and moved all the things in.
Jiang Xiyue ran up to her brother and excitedly showed off, "Brother, look, this is a new dress that Sister Yuhan gave me. Isn't it pretty?"
Seeing his sister's cheerful expression, Jiang Bowen smiled and praised, "Beautiful! My sister looks beautiful in anything. But the dress that Sister Yuhan gave you is the most beautiful; the color and style are both lovely."
Jiang Xiyue was even happier to receive her brother's praise. However, she quickly took off her new clothes and put them away. She couldn't bear to wear them now; she planned to wait until the New Year to wear them, so she would also have new clothes for the New Year.
