Han Yixian sighed and said, "I'm too ashamed to face them now. I took their daughter out of the house this morning, and then I lost her by noon. I don't know if my father-in-law and mother-in-law will regret my marriage to Yuhan after this happens."
Gu Qishen patted Han Yixian on the shoulder and said, "This isn't your fault. I think Uncle He and Aunt Hui will understand you. Go back and prepare to leave as soon as possible."
Han Yi nodded and took Liu Gang and Yuan Qiwen home.
As soon as the group entered, He Chenglin saw the expressions on Han Yixian and Yuan Qiwen's faces and knew something had happened. Everyone had returned, but his daughter was missing, and He Chenglin's heart sank.
Hoping for the best, he asked, "Why are you back so early? Yuhan is still at the tractor factory."
Liu Gang cried and said, "Uncle He, Yuhan has been kidnapped by bad guys."
Han Yixian said, "I'm sorry, Uncle, I failed to protect Yuhan."
Upon hearing Liu Gang's voice, Yu Huiru and the others rushed to the living room. After learning that He Yuhan had been kidnapped and gone missing, Yu Huiru fainted on the spot.
After everyone had been trying to save her for a while, Han Yixian even took out the quick-acting heart medicine that He Yuhan had prepared for her parents and stuffed some into his mother-in-law's mouth.
After a while, Yu Huiru woke up and burst into tears, "Why is my daughter so unlucky? Those wicked people, why do they have to make my daughter suffer like this?"
He Chenglin, his eyes red, hugged his wife. He looked up at Han Yixian and asked, "Do you know who arrested Yuhan? Was it the people who ambushed you before the New Year?"
Han Yixian, his eyes also red, said, "My men have taken control of that group. It seems they weren't the ones who kidnapped Yuhan. And Yuhan left me a message saying she's safe and has some use to me. That group took her to Kyoto."
Qi Shen and I both guessed that it was very likely related to the new technologies that Yu Han had given to Shuguang Tractor Factory on these two occasions.
I'm about to leave for Kyoto. I'll definitely rescue Yuhan. Please comfort your mother at home, and both of you must take care of yourselves.
He Chenglin, after all, was a man who had weathered many storms, and he knew that Han Yixian was not to blame for this incident.
He nodded and said, "Go ahead and don't worry. Bring Yuhan back to us safely. I'll comfort your aunt. She's just too upset to accept that Yuhan is in trouble."
I've fully recovered, so don't worry about things at home. I'll take care of things.
Han Yi first comforted his parents-in-law, then left Liu Gang behind to take care of the family. He quickly packed some clothes and belongings and set off with Yuan Qiwen.
Before leaving City C, Han Yi made a phone call to Kyoto to make some arrangements, instructing them to keep a close eye on strangers entering and leaving Kyoto.
Han Yixian drove Yuan Qiwen day and night, only stopping briefly at a designated location to refuel. They spent the rest of the time on the road, arriving in Kyoto after a day and a night without rest.
Han Yixian didn't know if the people who arrested He Yuhan had arrived in Kyoto, but once they did, he quickly made further arrangements.
He mobilized a significant amount of resources that hadn't been used for years, all in an effort to find He Yuhan's whereabouts.
Han Yi first returned to Kyoto in secret, so he did not make a public appearance, also for fear of arousing the enemy's vigilance.
A clandestine force is roaming throughout Kyoto, searching for He Yuhan's whereabouts.
Meanwhile, He Yuhan was being held in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Kyoto.
When He Yuhan came out of the restroom at the Shuguang Tractor Factory, she found that Liu Gang, who had come out with her, was gone. She assumed Liu Gang had also gone to the restroom, so she waited for him not far away, lest he come out and not find her and worry.
While He Yuhan was waiting for Liu Gang, a little girl of about ten years old ran over from not far away.
He Yuhan was also curious about why there were children running around in the factory, guessing that they might be the children of one of the workers.
As the little girl ran past her, she suddenly tripped over something on the ground and fell to the ground.
The little girl immediately lay down on the ground and started crying.
Upon seeing the little girl, He Yuhan felt a surge of pity and went to help her up. As she crouched down to help the little girl, someone suddenly appeared behind her and covered her mouth and nose with a handkerchief.
He Yuhan knew immediately that she had been tricked. Remaining calm, she quickly held her breath and pretended to faint.
The person behind her saw He Yuhan faint and took off his handkerchief, saying, "Quick, let's get out of here. I'll take the others and go first. You stay outside the factory and keep an eye on things here."
The girl, who looked to be only ten years old, spoke in an adult's voice: "Alright, you go ahead, I'll stay and continue gathering intelligence. Take good care of her, the higher-ups need her."
He Yuhan immediately knew that this girl, who looked to be around ten years old, was a dwarf. She should already be an adult, but her height and appearance had deceived others.
He Yuhan heard the person carrying her say, "Don't worry, you definitely won't be treated unfairly. I'm leaving now. We've caught the target, our mission is complete, it's time for you to leave too. We'll meet up in Kyoto."
The short woman said, "I understand, you should leave now."
While they weren't paying attention, He Yuhan entered the space and drank some well water to alleviate the effects of the small amount of "sedative" she had just inhaled, thus keeping herself fully conscious.
Soon a car stopped in front of them, and then He Yuhan was carried into the car by that person.
The driver said, "Hurry up, we need to get out of here quickly, or we'll be discovered. If we are discovered, we'll just run people over and drive out."
The car started quickly and headed towards the gate of the tractor factory.
Through He Yuhan's eavesdropping, she learned that she was on a truck hauling coal ash to the outside of the tractor factory. The driver of the coal ash truck had been subdued and the group had stolen the truck and sneaked into the tractor factory. She didn't know if the driver was still alive.
The car smoothly took He Yuhan out of the tractor factory and quickly drove them out of City C.
The driver parked the car on the side of the road, where another car was already waiting.
He Yuhan felt that this group had planned this all along, otherwise they wouldn't have arranged it so cleverly and at such a perfect time.
Fortunately, she had a spatial ability, which allowed her to use it to write a few words on a small note and slip it into the gap between the seats when the thugs weren't looking. She hoped Han Yixian would find the note. That was all she had time to write.
Then He Yuhan was carried to the car that was already waiting by the roadside. The person helped her sit in the back seat of the car.
Then the person carrying her said, "We've got her. Let's get out of City C right away."
