As soon as He Yuhan entered the room, she heard her son crying. She quickly ran into the bedroom. When she got there, she saw the little guy crying loudly with his mouth open, which broke He Yuhan's heart.
When He Yuhan saw that her son had wet himself, she knew he was uncomfortable and would cry. The little guy must also be hungry. These past few days have been tough on her little darling.
While changing her son's diaper, He Yuhan comforted him, "Sweetheart, baby, don't cry. Mommy's here."
He Yuhan decided to give her son a bath. The little guy stopped crying as soon as he saw his mother, and even laughed in the water, clearly enjoying playing in it.
Seeing that her child had stopped crying and was even happy, He Yuhan knew that the child was alright, and she breathed a sigh of relief. She was really worried that she wouldn't have time to take care of her child if he got sick these past few days.
He Yuhan gave her child a bath, changed her son's clothes and diaper, and then made him a cup of milk.
The little guy was indeed hungry, practically wanting to drink from the bottle himself. Seeing him gulping down the milk, He Yuhan felt even more guilty. She couldn't always enter the space, which meant she couldn't feed her child on time, and her son had often gone hungry these past few days. Fortunately, they were safe now, and she could take good care of her child.
The little one fell asleep quickly after eating, probably because he was tired from crying.
He Yuhan put her son in the crib and quickly went into the bathroom to take a shower. She hadn't had a chance to shower for several days and felt like she was going to stink.
After taking a refreshing shower, He Yuhan left the space, wondering how she could contact her family.
Writing letters home from G City was definitely out of the question; she didn't want to create any problems for the future.
Finally, He Yuhan thought of the radio station, which might be the safest option.
He Yuhan observed the sea directly opposite her room's window. Her room was on a high floor; she could easily send a message by simply extending the antenna out the window. However, to avoid being discovered, she had to wait until night. Besides, no one would disturb her at night.
After tidying herself up, He Yuhan cooked herself a delicious meal in the kitchen of the space. She had hardly eaten a proper meal in the past few days, so she had to treat her stomach well.
After having a hearty meal and tidying up to digest, she went to bed to rest and get a good night's sleep.
Aside from feeding her son and changing his diapers, He Yuhan mostly slept. By the time He Yuhan woke up, the city lights were already on.
After feeding her son, He Yuhan left her hotel room and went downstairs to the restaurant for dinner. She couldn't always stay out of sight, or people would become suspicious.
She only ordered a token amount of food at the restaurant, intending to eat in her room or the space behind her later.
After having a simple meal at the restaurant, He Yuhan returned to her room. She locked the door and took out a radio from her storage space, intending to use it for sending messages.
She went to check the other bedroom and saw a table in front of the window where she could set up the antenna. She first turned off the light, opened the window, extended the antenna outside and secured it, then left the window slightly ajar before drawing the thick curtains. Under the cover of night, the antenna outside the window was barely visible.
She placed the radio on the table in front of the window, and put it away in her storage space after she finished using it.
She learned how to use a radio to send messages from Han Yixian and her older brother when they were at the bottom of the cliff. Later, she had Du Zhuoyuan send her some tutorials, and now she knows how to use it perfectly.
While He Yuhan was fiddling with the radio, Han Yixian was also sitting next to it. After leaving the He family in the morning, he came directly to find He Zhendong. He was deeply moved to learn that He Zhendong and Huo Xicheng had been personally overseeing the radio they had used at the bottom of the cliff.
He only mentioned it briefly, and they took it so seriously.
Huo Xicheng placed this radio station in a separate room, accessible only to He Zhendong and Huo Xicheng. When Han Yixian arrived, he stayed in the room for a whole day without leaving.
He kept watch over the radio so that He Zhendong and Huo Xicheng could go to work or rest. Even in the evenings, He Zhendong would bring back food and eat in this room.
Han Yixian had been on guard duty for almost a day, so He Zhendong replaced him to let him get some exercise.
The three of them discussed in the room what other ways they could find He Yuhan and her child.
After He Yuhan finished setting up the radio, she tried sending a message calling He Zhendong, and sent it several times in a row.
He Zhendong was sitting in front of the radio when he suddenly received a message. He exclaimed with delight, "There's news!"
Han Yixian and Huo Xicheng reacted to He Zhendong's shout and rushed to the radio station.
Han Yixian asked excitedly, "Did Yuhan send it back?"
He Zhendong said, "The message I received was a call to me."
Han Yixian quickly said, "Yuhan must be trying to confirm who is in front of the radio station before revealing her identity. You should reply to the message immediately and say that you are personally receiving the message."
He Zhendong quickly replied to Han Yixian's message as instructed.
The three of them waited excitedly for a call back, hoping it really was a message from He Yuhan.
He Yuhan also received a reply from He Zhendong. Seeing that it was her second brother receiving the telegram in person, she was relieved and immediately sent a telegram to tell him that she and her child were safe and sound and that the scorpion was dead.
Upon receiving the telegram, He Zhendong was overjoyed when Han Yixian and Huo Xicheng translated it, saying, "Yuhan and the child are safe, and the scorpion is dead. That's wonderful!"
Han Yixian paced excitedly around the room, then said, "Zhendong, quickly ask Yuhan where she is now. I'll go pick her and her child up myself."
He Zhendong quickly sent a telegram to He Yuhan.
Upon receiving the telegram, He Yuhan felt a surge of joy, knowing that Han Yixian must have been extremely anxious. However, it wouldn't be convenient for Han Yixian to come to G City, as it was not yet under the jurisdiction of the motherland.
She called back to say that she was currently staying at the G City Universal Hotel because she had saved someone and could stay there for free, so her family didn't need to worry or come to pick her up, and she would be back soon.
She still has some things to take care of in G city, and she will go home after she finishes. She will take good care of the child so that her family can rest assured. From now on, she will use this radio station to send a message home every night at eight o'clock to let her family know she is safe.
She also mentioned the deaths of Scorpion and the others at sea, but didn't say much else for fear of worrying her family.
After He Zhendong received and translated the telegram, Han Yixian couldn't sit still any longer. "I'll go back immediately and tell my family this good news, but I'll tell them on the phone that it's not safe. I'll pack tonight and leave tomorrow to pick up Yuhan and her child. I'll leave things here to you. I'll contact you before I leave the country. We'll communicate using code words."
Although going to G City wasn't very convenient, Han Yixian still had a way to sneak over there. His wife and son were there, and he couldn't just wait at home; he wished he could fly to his wife's side immediately.
After exchanging a few more coded messages, Han Yixian went home. He wanted to tell his family the good news as soon as possible and make them happy.
