Chapter 580 Visiting in the Snow

The snow fell all night without stopping. The next day was a day off, so everyone got up a little late. Han Yixian and He Yuhan had stayed up quite late the night before, so they didn't wake up until after nine in the morning.

He Yuhan looked at the time on the alarm clock and punched Han Yixian, saying, "Look, it's already past nine o'clock. It's almost time to make lunch. People will laugh at us."

Han Yixian put his arm around He Yuhan and laughed, "Who would laugh at me? I drank too much last night, and you took care of me until very late. It's no big deal to sleep a little longer. Don't think too much about it, it's okay."

The two got up, tidied themselves up, and drew back the curtains to see that the snow was still falling outside.

He Yuhan said worriedly, "If this snow keeps falling like this, some houses will definitely collapse under the weight. That could very likely cause casualties."

Han Yixian stood by the window, looking at the heavy snow outside, and sighed, saying, "There's nothing we can do about it. We can only do our best to minimize the losses."

The two of them left the room, washed up, and ate some simple breakfast that was still warm in the pot.

Han Yixian and Gu Qishen shoveled the snow off the roof; the snow was too thick, so it was better to sweep it down.

Yuan Qihua also joined in, and it took them more than an hour to clear the snow from the roofs of both houses. However, the snow didn't stop falling; after it was cleared, another layer of snow fell.

At noon, He Yuhan and Wen Jinyu made dumplings together, with pork and cabbage filling, which Han Yixian loved. Yuan Qihua and Cui Yuting were naturally invited to eat dumplings together as well.

Cui Yuting felt embarrassed that she often came to the Han family's house for meals. However, Yuan Qihua kept reassuring his wife that they were all family and there was no need to be so formal.

The heavy snow continued into the afternoon, and He Yuhan was worried about the Jiang family. Jiang Bowen had gone for further studies, leaving only the elderly couple Jiang Zhaonian and their young daughter Jiang Xiyue at home. She wondered if they had enough charcoal for the fire or any food. She had promised Jiang Bowen that she would help look after the Jiang family.

He Yuhan tugged at Han Yixian and said, "Brother Yi, I'm a little worried about the Jiang family with this heavy snow. Bowen isn't home, and only the elderly and a young girl are there. Let's go check on them. We need to clear the snow off the roof and deliver some things to them while we're at it."

Since meeting the Jiang family, He Yuhan has maintained contact with them, visiting them from time to time, and has become quite familiar with them.

Han Yi looked at the snow outside and said, "Okay, let's go now."

Without delay, the two put on their cotton-padded coats, scarves, and gloves, fully armed, said goodbye to their family, and left home.

Han Yixian carried a covered basket on his back and pulled He Yuhan into the heavy snow.

The snow on the ground was already quite thick, but fortunately, both of them were wearing thick cotton boots, so their feet didn't freeze.

The snow crunched underfoot, and because of the snow, there were hardly any pedestrians outside. I guess everyone was staying home, and nobody would go out in this kind of weather unless they had to.

The two walked hand in hand toward the Jiang family's house. As they neared the house, they entered a rather secluded alley. Seeing no one around, He Yuhan took some food from her spatial storage and placed it in the basket Han Yixian was carrying.

Then, carrying a basket in one hand, she and Han Yixian left the alley together.

Han Yixian asked, "Jiang Bowen should be back soon, right?"

He Yuhan nodded and said, "Yes, he should be back before the New Year. After this advanced training, his qualifications will be different, and he can become a formal technician in the technical department of Shuguang Tractor Factory. His salary will be quite good, and he won't have any problem supporting his family in the future."

He could have gone to university, but it's a real shame he had to give it up because of his family's circumstances. That's why I asked you to help him secure this opportunity for further study. He also has talent in this area, and it would be a shame to let it go to waste.”

Han Yixian said, "It is his good fortune to receive your guidance. How many people have such an opportunity? If he works hard, his future achievements will be remarkable."

He Yuhan said, "Actually, my purpose in training him was to cover for myself. I don't want to stand out too much, and I hope someone can share the attention and also share some of the so-called research results."

Han Yixian nodded and said, "You did the right thing, just like what Qihua is doing now. If everything is focused on you, it will definitely attract attention from all sides, which is not good for any of us."

He Yuhan said, "I plan to give Bowen some things when he comes back this time. I've already prepared some of these things, and I'm just waiting for the right opportunity. When Jiang Bowen returns from his studies, no one will doubt that the things he made were his work."

He Yuhan sighed and said, "But what I give him can't be too profound or too advanced. Mechanical manufacturing is a huge system, containing too much knowledge such as the structure and principles of machinery, materials, and so on. It's not something that can be mastered in a short time. If what I bring out is too advanced, it will inevitably be exposed later."

Han Yixian had a question in his mind, but he never asked it, afraid of putting his wife in a difficult position. The things He Yuhan brought out were indeed very advanced; there were many things he couldn't understand even with his current knowledge.

He Yuhan, however, was very knowledgeable about these things and even proficient in them. It is said that He Yuhan only began to learn cultural knowledge after she came to his side. Although she learned it quickly, it was all relatively superficial knowledge.

In just a few years, He Yuhan has already mastered knowledge to an expert level, surpassing many experts. Even if her daughter-in-law had been studying all along, she couldn't have learned so quickly.

Although she obtained those materials through a virtual space, how was she able to understand them? Without professional knowledge as a foundation, she simply couldn't understand them.
