It's Chinese New Year, and He Yuhan prepared a lot of candies and dried fruits, including peanuts, melon seeds, pine nuts, hazelnuts, and walnuts. Fruits included apples, oranges, bananas, and pears. He Yuhan also prepared fruit hard candies, orange segment soft candies, and White Rabbit milk candies. She even made fried dough twists, fried dough sticks, and candied dates by hand. All sorts of snacks practically filled the coffee table in the living room.
After breakfast, everyone sat in the living room chatting and eating snacks. The two kids, who were always running around, were the happiest with so many delicious treats.
However, He Yuhan told her two nephews not to run while eating, or they would choke.
Looking at the food piled up on the coffee table, Yuan Qihua said, "Auntie, there's so much delicious food, I'm dazzled."

He Chenglin and Han Xiao are playing chess. Liu Zhongyi is holding little Xu Rui and watching from the side. Han Yixian and He Zhenhua are also playing chess, and the two are evenly matched.
There was a large pot of big bones simmering in the kitchen, and wood was burning in the stove. It basically didn't need anyone to do anything. The bones simmered slowly in the pot, and soon the aroma came out.

Han Yixian said, "It's alright, I'll help wash the vegetables. The water is too cold; Yuhan shouldn't touch cold water these days. Mom, you go and play with the children. Yuhan and I are here."
Han Yi first pushed the two mothers who wanted to help out of the kitchen, and also sent away the others who wanted to help.
Yu Huiru was truly satisfied with her son-in-law. Just based on how much he doted on her daughter, she felt that her daughter had really chosen the right person.
Several of the main dishes for the New Year's Eve dinner have already been prepared; they just need to be steamed in a pot.
Han Yixian snatched the cabbage from his wife's hand and said, "Wife, I'll wash the cabbage. You don't need to worry about it. Just put it on the stove in a bit. Your period is coming soon, so don't touch cold water."
He Yuhan laughed and said, "I'm not that delicate, it's fine."
Han Yixian said, "That won't do. You need to take care of yourself now, because our child might come anytime soon."

Because there were many people, He Yuhan cooked a large quantity of food to ensure everyone ate well. The dishes were served one after another, some of which were served on two plates.
Han Yi first took out the Moutai liquor that He Yuhan had prepared beforehand and placed it on the table. He had taken out several bottles, intending for everyone to drink to their heart's content today.
