Han Yixian was very busy at work today and didn't even have time to go to the cafeteria for lunch, so he asked Liu Gang to go to the cafeteria to get him a meal.
Half an hour later, Liu Gang stormed into Han Yixian's office with his lunchbox in his arms.
Han Yixian looked at Liu Gang's angry expression and asked, "What's wrong? Did someone upset you?"
Liu Gang said angrily, "Brother Xian, you don't know, there's a rumor going around the factory that the new accountant Chen Shulan is your lover. She got injured and you even sent someone to take her to the infirmary. They're all shameless; why do they have to drag you into this? If this continues, even if nothing's wrong, they'll make it seem like something's wrong.
Han Yi frowned upon hearing Liu Gang's words and asked, "Did you hear someone say something with your own ears?"
Liu Gang said, "I overheard a few people talking about this when I went to the cafeteria to get food. I also asked Guoping and the others, and they heard about it too."
Brother, this needs to be stopped as soon as possible, otherwise if word gets out and people really think you have moral issues, that would be troublesome.
Upon hearing this, Han Yixian narrowed his eyes and said in a deep voice, "It seems that someone can't wait any longer. Have someone investigate who first spread this rumor. I suspect that some people with ulterior motives have infiltrated the factory recently. I want to see who is looking for trouble this time."
Liu Gang said, "I'll have someone investigate right away. We can't let my sister-in-law know about this; it would be terrible if she believed it."
Han Yi waved his hand and said, "Yu Han won't believe these baseless rumors. Don't tell me about this when you get home. We'll talk about it after we've investigated, so Yu Han won't worry."
But Yuhan needs to know about this eventually; I'll have her come to the factory for a bit. I have such a beautiful wife at home, how could I possibly be interested in those ordinary girls?
Upon hearing this, Liu Gang chuckled and said, "That's right, we should let your sister-in-law come to the factory and show her face. Otherwise, they all think they're so beautiful that no one can compare to them. Liu Jiaxin and Chen Shulan even call themselves the factory's beauties or something. They really don't know their place. How could someone like them compare to your sister-in-law?"
Not to mention how capable my sister-in-law is. If she hadn't wanted to keep a low profile and keep things secret, she would have been famous far and wide long ago.
Han Yixian said, "Let's investigate this privately first, without alerting the enemy. Let's pretend we don't know anything or don't care. We'll figure out how to resolve it after we've found out."
Liu Gang nodded and said, "Alright, I'll give the order right away. Brother Xian, you should eat quickly."
After saying that, Liu Gang put the lunchbox on the coffee table and told Han Yi to eat first, while he hurried out to assign tasks.
As Han Yixian ate his meal, he thought about Chen Shulan, whom he had encountered a few days ago. It now seemed that Chen Shulan had deliberately tried to get close to him. Under normal circumstances, a man who saw an injured woman would usually take her to the infirmary; he certainly wouldn't ignore her. Especially since Chen Shulan was a pitiful and beautiful woman.
If he had personally taken Chen Shulan to the infirmary like any other man, the rumors would probably be even more unbearable and would be even more detrimental to him.
However, he had his own rules, and he would keep his distance from any woman he encountered outside, so Chen Shulan did not achieve her goal.
Chen Shulan's goal might be to get close to him, destroy his family, and eventually marry into the Han family, just like Zeng Yufen. Because of Liu Jiaxin's various actions, Han Yixian also developed some resentment towards Liu Yongnian. He felt it was wrong of him to have let his daughter cause trouble for others without proper upbringing. He had many ways to deal with Liu Jiaxin.
But now that Liu Jiaxin's cousin Yan Qingya is about to marry her brother-in-law, he has some reservations about dealing with Liu Jiaxin. He's afraid that his brother-in-law and Yuhan will be put in a difficult position.
He thought about it and decided to discuss it with his wife after some time. If his wife had no concerns, he wouldn't care about anyone else.
If all else fails, he'll give Liu Yongnian a warning: if Liu Yongnian can't control his daughter, then he shouldn't blame him.
Han Yixian had a premonition that the forces coveting the Han family were slowly closing in, and perhaps what was happening now was just the beginning. His heart grew heavy.

That night, after the couple returned to their bedroom, Han Yi first harassed He Yuhan until she was completely exhausted before stopping. Only then did he feel that He Yuhan belonged entirely to him and would never leave him.
