After half a month of preparation, He Zhenhua and Yan Qingya's wedding was held as scheduled.
Because frugality is encouraged nowadays, He Zhenhua and Yan Qingya's wedding was not a grand affair; they only invited nearby relatives and friends.
Han Yixian sent Liu Gang to bring his father, uncle, and Gao Shuwen and his wife from Beili Village to the county to attend He Zhenhua's wedding. He Zhenhua invited several of his regular colleagues. Yan Qingya also invited several colleagues from her department at the hospital.
Only Liu Yongnian's family attended Yan Qingya's wedding. Yan Zhonghuai and his wife didn't invite any other family members because it was too far away and they couldn't afford the hassle. Besides, they didn't want their daughter's wedding to be too extravagant; a low-key affair was preferable.
