Chapter 744 A Wise Choice

Recently, He Yuhan has been seeing patients in the clinic in the mornings. After a while, if there are no other patients, she usually goes to check on Liu Xiangqian's injuries and then talks to the child about problems he doesn't understand in his studies.

The Liu family was very grateful for He Yuhan's concern for their child. Although their child was injured and couldn't go to school, their studies hadn't fallen behind at all, all thanks to Dr. He.

It's truly a blessing for Beili Village that the Han family could come to their village.

Ever since Han Yixian and He Yuhan saved Liu Xiangqian, the Liu family has become supporters of the Han family.

The next day, on the weekend, He Zhenhua brought Yan Qingya to Beili Village. They came to deliver grain supplies to the Han family and He Haobo, but more importantly, to check on the children.

The two arrived by bicycle; He Zhenhua carried grain on the back of his bicycle, while Yan Qingya carried things she had bought for the children and elders.

He Zhenhua has now gone to work at the Qianyuan County Machinery Factory, and everything is going smoothly. Yan Qingya's hospital, however, has been somewhat impacted. Fortunately, Yan Qingya has a good background and is protected by Liu Yongnian, so she hasn't been affected much.

Both of them have jobs and are not short of money or tickets. Every time they come to Beili Village, they buy a lot of things.

However, He Yuhan would not let her older brother and sister-in-law go back empty-handed. Every time, she would bring them back cured meat, wild game, dried goods, and the like.

Moreover, He Yuhan would prepare a sumptuous meal for He Zhenhua and his group every time they came, which was equivalent to improving their lives.

He Haobo and the others had a day off and didn't go to class. When they saw their father, the little guy rushed into his father's arms like a little cannonball.

He Zhenhua picked up his son and weighed him in his arms, saying, "Son, you've gotten heavier again."

He Haobo hugged his father's neck and said happily, "Dad, I'm learning kung fu from my uncle now. I run and practice horse stance every day, and I eat an extra bowl of rice at every meal, so of course I've gained weight. My aunt says I've grown taller too."

He Zhenhua was very happy to see his son's sturdy little body and the fact that he had grown quite a bit taller. His son not only recovered well at his sister's house, but also didn't fall behind in his studies.

He was even happier to hear that his son had started learning kung fu from Han Yixian. He knew Han Yixian's kung fu skills; in any case, Han Yixian was better than him. His son couldn't go wrong learning kung fu from his uncle.

He Zhenhua said happily, "Then you must not be afraid of hardship or fatigue, and you must listen to your uncle's guidance."

He Haobo said, "My uncle can kill a big wild boar all by himself. I want to be as good as my uncle when I grow up."

Several elders in the courtyard laughed when they heard He Haobo's words.

Wen Jinyu laughed and said, "Ever since Yixian killed a wild boar in front of the villagers, all the children in the village regard Yixian as a great hero. Haobo even insists on learning kung fu from Yixian, saying that he wants to be as powerful as his uncle in the future."

This unjust man started teaching Huayang and the other boy right away. They've just begun with running and horse stance exercises. The two kids are quite persistent, and they've gotten stronger lately.

He Zhenhua laughed and said, "It's really a blessing for them to have Yi Xian teach them. Among us, Yi Xian's kung fu is the best. With him as their teacher, these kids are bound to be successful."

He Zhenhua was sitting in the courtyard with his son, talking to several elders, when He Yuhan returned.

Seeing He Yuhan returning from outside with a first-aid kit on her back, He Zhenhua said, "Yuhan, you seem to be quite busy every day."

He Yuhan was very happy to see her older brother and sister-in-law. "Brother, sister-in-law, you're here. Recently, a child in the village got injured, and I often go to check on his injuries. Since he can't go to school anymore, I've been tutoring him."

How have you been doing in the city lately?

He Zhenhua replied, "The city is in chaos right now. I work at the machinery factory every day and don't get involved in anything, so things are relatively stable. I just don't know how long this stability can last."

Yan Qingya said worriedly, "Several senior doctors in our hospital have been purged. They're no longer in their original positions and have been relegated to cleaning duties. Everyone else in our hospital is now living in fear."

Sigh, I don't know what's wrong with some people these days. They don't focus on their work but instead nitpick at others, sometimes even finding fault with things that aren't right. These days, even a single wrong word can get you retaliated against.

He Zhenhua sighed and said, "Our strength is too insignificant, and we can't change anything. We can only endure it."

He Yuhan said, "Then you all have to be careful with your words and actions in the future, and never let some people with ulterior motives seize on this as an excuse to cause trouble."

"Brother, how are Mom and Dad doing? Are they alright?"

He Zhenhua shook his head and said, "It's not good for my parents either. It's a bit better now that they've retired. Many of their former colleagues are in dire straits. I don't think it's safe for my parents over there, since many people there know about their background."

He Yuhan immediately said, "I think if it doesn't work out, let Mom and Dad come back here. After all, this is the countryside, there are far fewer troubles here. Besides, it's far away and not many people know our parents."

He Zhenhua said, "But Mom and Dad are taking care of your second brother's two children over there. What will happen to the children if they come over and there's no one to look after them?"

He Yuhan said, "Our parents' safety is the most important thing. If it's not possible, we can bring the child along."

He Zhenhua frowned and said, "I'm afraid your second brother and sister-in-law won't be able to bear to part with the child. I'll call your second brother later to discuss it. If that doesn't work, we can ask Uncle Liang and Aunt Liang for help. After all, they live relatively close by."

He Yuhan nodded and said, "That's fine. Big brother, please contact second brother as soon as you get back. I can only feel at ease if Mom and Dad are with us."
