Yang Meizi rushed into the house to see her mother-in-law, but she never expected that her mother-in-law would be in such a state.
Upon further reflection, recalling Ning An's earlier actions, Yang Meizi quickly took a deep breath.
Then he strode out and stood in front of Ning An.
With a hoarse voice, he asked Ning An, but his eyes were fixed on Ning Fei, "What exactly is going on?"

However, the box containing the money was found, but not a single penny of the money was found inside.
Yang Meizi stormed out of the house, grabbed the empty box, and slammed it to the ground right in front of Ning An.
The box wasn't locked to begin with, and when Yang Meizi slammed it to the ground so hard, the box bounced twice. The inside of the box was clean and empty, and it was just laid out like that.
"Where's the money? Where did it go?"
Aside from the cost of fertilizer, the rest of the money was what she had prepared for Ning Yue's wedding!
In just a few short years, she painstakingly squeezed out a tiny bit of money, and it was all gone.
Yang Meizi felt that it was already a good thing that she hadn't gone crazy or lost her temper so far.
However, Ning An did not think so.
As a grown man and the head of the household, it was already embarrassing enough for him to cry. Instead of comforting him, his wife questioned him about where the money went.
Thinking of this, Ning An stopped crying, slowly moved her squatting body, wiped the tears from her face, and then turned her back to Yang Meizi and the others.
Ning Chao's wife was originally serving Ning's mother.
However, when she saw her mother-in-law return, she followed her into the yard.
Then, upon hearing her mother-in-law Yang Meizi's question, she couldn't hold back any longer and stepped forward, speaking in a low but loud voice that everyone could hear: "Mother, Father used all this money to pay off Uncle's gambling debts!"
Upon hearing her eldest daughter-in-law's words, Yang Meizi felt a sudden wave of dizziness.
She forced herself not to fall, grabbed Ning Chao's wife's arm, and dug her fingernails almost into her flesh.
"So much money... all of it went to pay off Ning Fei's gambling debts??"
Ning Chao's wife was timid to begin with, and now she was so frightened by her mother-in-law's clenched teeth question that she almost couldn't speak properly!
Enduring the pain of being pinched into his flesh, he nodded forcefully at Yang Meizi.
She was surprised to find that her in-laws had so much money. However, when they married her, the dowry her family asked for was kept delayed by the Ning family, who claimed they had no money.
If we delay until she's old enough, she'll become an old maid.
Ning Chao's in-laws finally relented, which is why the young couple is where they are today.
When she said she had no money, she wasn't that bothered by it.
But now, it's obvious that both her in-laws are wealthy. Why did they say those things back then? Did they really think she was a fool?
"Mom, you're back?"
Ning Chao was weeding in the field with a hoe on his back when he heard the news that his mother had returned. He rushed back from outside the door and said with great joy.
