"Da Niu, here, my older brother brought back some fruit candies, they're so delicious."
Ignoring what Wu Tieniu and his wife said, Da Niu rushed out of the house like a bull and saw his friend Tie Dan holding up his good hand, with a fruit candy on his palm.
"Tiedan, my good brother."
Upon seeing this, Wu Daniu didn't stand on ceremony. He stepped forward, picked up the candy, unwrapped it, and ate it.
He smacked his lips a few times and exclaimed, "So sweet!"
Tie Dan had just eaten one, and now, seeing Da Niu eating one, he couldn't help but lick his lower lip.
He turned his head away forcefully, refusing to look at Da Niu's mouth.
"Da Niu, let's go catch some small fish, do you want to come?"
Hearing Tie Dan's question, Da Niu glanced at his arm.
"You've become a one-armed hero, how are you going to catch small fish now?"
Besides, even if you're going to catch small fish, why are you bringing your sister along?
"Hey, how about we, brothers, go beat that kid up sometime?"
Da Niu first glanced at Xiu Chun and Siya with some disdain, but then, remembering that his brother had been beaten, Da Niu asked them with great loyalty.
Tie Dan shook his head and replied, "My sister-in-law won't let me fight. It's just catching small fish. I still have one hand that's fine!"
Seeing Tie Dan shake his head, Da Niu smacked his lips a couple of times with a hint of regret, savoring the sweetness on his taste buds.
My initially bad mood suddenly brightened up considerably.
"Alright, let the women stand on the shore, but they're not allowed to go into the water."
Da Niu waved his hand and said domineeringly.
When Xiuchun saw that Da Niu was willing to take them out to play, she quickly nodded in agreement.
“Wait here, I’ll go back and get my father’s fishing net.”
Da Niu rolled his eyes at the basket Xiu Chun was carrying. How many days could he catch small fish with that basket?
After saying that, he turned around and cautiously peeked into the house.
In no time, he came back with a fine mesh covered in patches.
Wu Tieniu, like the village chief, often had a couple of drinks when he had nothing to do.
But the snacks to go with the drinks are always the same: soybeans, broad beans, and peanuts. Eating too much of that makes you fart a lot.
So he came up with a plan: when he went to his father-in-law's house, he brought back a tattered fishing net.
Only a small section of this tattered fishing net is usable; it's simply not suitable for large-scale fishing.
In addition, Wu Tieniu was low-key. At most, he would go to the river in the middle of the night when no one was paying attention, catch some small fish, and fry them to eat.
But this is a rare treat, since who has that much oil at home to fry fish?
So, although everyone in the village knew about the tattered fishing net in Wu Tieniu's house, basically no one said anything about it.
After all, what child doesn't fish and shrimp in the river?
But adults don't think such a tattered fishing net is of much use.
But for children, this thing is a treasure.
At least, this tattered fishing net is much more useful than a basket.
"You hold the net down here, and I'll drive the fish down from above."
Da Niu walked to the riverbank with Tie Dan and pointed to a shallow spot in the water, saying to Tie Dan.
Tie Dan nodded and told Xiu Chun to take good care of Siya.
He carefully took off his shoes and placed them on the bank, then grabbed the fishing net and went into the river.
"Second brother, you can do it!"
Siya raised her hands and shouted loudly.
Tie Dan turned around and smiled at her, then walked steadily forward.
Walk to one end and use a stone to weigh down one end of the net.
Then walk back and grab this end of the fishing net.
The water washed down, turning the fishing net, which was less than 2 meters long, into an arched shape.
