Ning Jing forcefully shook off the hands of the people who were holding her arm, and then walked towards the gossiping woman.
Upon seeing this, the woman who had been talking back was somewhat frightened and quickly backed away.

After taking the twins, who had cried themselves to sleep, home, and just as they were laid down on the kang (a heated brick bed), they heard a loud "bang bang bang" sound coming from the doorway.
Along with the sound of banging on the door came the frantic and shrill voice of his cousin-in-law, Liu Mei.
"You bitch, open the door! How dare you beat my son like this? Ning Jing, get out here right now!"
After others took Fu Jianguo home, Liu Mei was furious when she saw her eldest son beaten so badly, and when she found out that it was Ning Jing who did it!
Ning Jing tucked the blankets covering the twins in, and carefully looked at their faces. Although they were asleep, they still had a hint of unease on their faces. The anger in her heart had been building up since earlier.
Hearing the frantic shouting and cursing at the door again, she quietly stood up, went out, and carefully closed the door to the room where the twins were sleeping, so as not to make too much noise and wake the two children.
