Unfortunately, the food coupons and money that Ning Jing gave to Xiu Hua and Tie Dan were now useless.
Just as they arrived at the school gate, before they even went inside, they saw a group of people rushing out of the school.
Several teachers were forced out with their hands twisted behind their backs. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that two of them were her own teachers. Xiuhua wanted to step forward to stop them.
Tie Dan felt a chill run down his spine; it seemed his elder brother had anticipated this all along.
Seeing her second sister's agitated state, she quickly stepped forward, covered her mouth with one hand, grabbed her arm tightly with the other, shook her head, and whispered, "Second sister, calm down!"
Caught off guard, Xiuhua was covered by her second brother. She tried to struggle, but when she heard his deep and serious words, she was stunned.
The crowd that poured out of the school disappeared at the intersection in no time.
Behind the group of people who were pressing down on the teachers were quite a few students.
Seeing this, Xiuhua hurriedly pulled Tiedan's hand away and said anxiously, "Second brother, what are you doing?"
Just as Tie Dan was about to explain, he caught a glimpse of someone approaching from behind his second sister, their eyes filled with scrutiny.
"Second sister, eldest brother said that some people who do bad things should be punished. Even if they are not punished now, they will eventually be exposed by the public."
Hearing Tie Dan say this with a serious, stern face.
Xiuhua looked completely bewildered. Was her second brother implying that the teachers had done something wrong?
After a moment of stunned silence, anger welled up inside him.
Did Tie Dan's reading of books go to waste?
A teacher is one who imparts knowledge and resolves doubts!
What did the teachers do wrong at school?
Is it necessary to be escorted out of the school gate like this?
Even if there's something going on, you should at least ask about it!
Before she could even utter her angry words, she heard a voice of praise coming from behind her.
"What this student said is right. Would you like to join our team?"
Xiuhua turned her head abruptly and saw a boy of about fifteen or sixteen years old, wearing a red armband on his arm. He still looked childish, but his face showed an arrogant expression.
As Xiuhua turned to look at someone else, that person was also looking at her.
After looking her up and down, the sticky gaze made Xiuhua feel uncomfortable all over.
Without making a sound, Tie Dan stepped forward and shielded his second sister behind him.
Then he gave a simple, honest smile and shook his head at the boy: "My family has been poor farmers for eight generations. My eldest brother told us to just honestly farm and not to learn these things."
Upon hearing Tie Dan's words, the young man scoffed. He had previously thought Tie Dan was a promising talent who could be promoted, but it turned out he was just a coward.
Although the woman was quite attractive, since she had already said that she came from a poor peasant family, there was no point in making a fuss about it.
"I'm warning you, you're not allowed to have any contact with these stinking intellectuals, or you'll all be arrested."
Alright, let's go, let's go.
The boy warned Tie Dan and the others, then turned and chased after the group that had disappeared.
With Tie Dan blocking her from behind and squeezing her hand tightly, Xiu Hua swallowed back all the words she wanted to say and lowered her head to avoid letting others see her face.
Tie Dan waited until the boy disappeared before letting go of his second sister's hand.
I ran into the school, only to find it completely deserted, where there were only scattered papers on the ground. The wind blew through the air, creating a desolate and bleak atmosphere.
"Second brother, do you know something?"
