"Clouds? Grandpa Cloud, what are you doing here?"
As soon as Yun Dazheng finished speaking, a young man's voice, filled with 'surprise', rang in Yun Duo's ears. Yun Duo tilted her head to look; she didn't recognize him, but he seemed vaguely familiar. Before she could think too much about it, Yun Dazheng's voice rang out.
"Why can't we be here? What? Did you, Wang Tiejun, buy this town? Can't we come?" Yun Dazheng said irritably, glancing at Wang Tiejun.
That old bastard!
Wang Tiejun cursed inwardly, but smiled warmly: "Grandpa Yun, what are you saying? I was just surprised and delighted to see you all so suddenly, so I said those things. Please don't misunderstand."
As he spoke, he smiled and looked at Yunduo: "Duo'er, what do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you."
Is this Wang Tiejun?
Yun Duo thought to herself, based on what Xiao Jiu brought back, she guessed that Wang Tiejun was probably just trying to 'please' her. But she didn't show it on her face. She just turned her head away from Wang Tiejun, her back to him, and said in a tone full of arrogance, "I don't know you."
With Yun Duo turning her back on him, Wang Tiejun felt a lump in his throat. The smile he had forced onto his face froze slightly. He couldn't help but grind his teeth and cursed "brat" in his heart before finally forcing a smile again and saying, "Don't you recognize me? I'm your brother. I even held you when you were little."
Yun Duo didn't believe a single word of what he said. She immediately turned to look at Wang Tiejun and said decisively, "Liar!" After saying that, she turned her head back to Wang Tiejun.
Wang Tiejun's smile was almost cracking, and his hands, hidden at his sides, were clenched tightly, with veins bulging on them.
Just then, the food stall owner picked up two steamed buns, put them on a plate, ladled out a bowl of soy milk and a bowl of bone broth, placed them on a tray, and handed them to Yun Dazheng.
Wang Tiejun forced himself to swallow his anger and asked the food stall owner before Yun Dazheng could, "How much?" Because he was suppressing his anger and trying to appear 'enthusiastic,' Wang Tiejun's tone sounded rather strange.
Although Wang Tiejun wasn't particularly capable, he had always associated with the town's thugs. For a food stall owner, the worst thing was to provoke these petty thugs. This gave the stall owner a headache; he feared that if he wasn't careful, he might offend Wang Tiejun and cause him to vent his anger on him. For a moment, he hesitated.
Fortunately, before the food stall owner could speak, Yun Dazheng said coldly, "I still have the money for the steamed buns. You don't need to pretend to be kind here, lest you go back and encourage Zhao Cuifen to steal the second son's money. Now she has no excuse to blame our Duo'er."
As Yun Dazheng spoke, he reached for 50 cents and handed it to the food stall owner. Sensing the owner's predicament, he deliberately didn't ask the price, assuming the owner wouldn't charge him a high price.
The food stall owner breathed a sigh of relief, quickly gave Yun Dazheng his change, and also specially gave him a small dish of his own pickled sweet ginger, saying that it was for the child to try something new.
Yun Da thanked the boss, then, without even looking at Wang Tiejun, took the tray and led Yun Duo to a small table to sit down.
Wang Tiejun's face turned pale, then red, then pale again. He took several deep breaths and endured the anger in his heart.
