That's exactly what Yunduo was waiting for!
"Let's compete then! Who's afraid of who? Do you think I'm worse than you?"
Once the words were spoken, the other boys were quite indignant when they heard that Yun Duo had included them all, and some of them started shouting.
"Then let's have a competition. You're just a little girl who only knows how to cook and tend the fire. What can you do? You dare to compete with us? Any one of us could beat you to a pulp."
Someone else chimed in, "That's right, that's right, we'll beat you to a pulp!"
You bunch of brats, what's going on in your heads? You want to beat me to a pulp? You must have bullied your sisters a lot at home, right?
Yun Duo couldn't help but think to herself, and at the same time, she spoke up with a smug look: "Didn't you just say that I can cook? Let me tell you, I really can. In this respect alone, you can't compare to me."
A little brat shouted at the clouds, "Who wants to compete with you in cooking and starting a fire? That's something only women do. We men just need to wait to eat!"
Yun Duo scoffed dismissively, raised her chin, and addressed the little brat who had just spoken: "Of course I won't compete with you in cooking and starting a fire. You couldn't catch up with me even if you were in a car. Besides, we come to school to study and learn. If we're going to compete, we should compete in who can learn better. Do you expect me to compete with you in playing with mud?"
"Who wants to compete with you in playing with mud? We're all here to study, and we also want to compete with you in studying, but we didn't have a chance to say it before you beat us to it."
"That's right, that's right, we'll compete with you in reading and see who reads better."
"If you can't beat us, then you should just go home and stop embarrassing us in our class!"
"Yes, if you can't beat me, then go home!"
Yun Duo raised her head and said loudly, "Fine, whoever loses has to go home, right? I'll compete! But who among you will compete with me?" As she spoke, Yun Duo looked around, displaying an air of 'I'm the only one who can compete'.
That little 'look' was incredibly disdainful and extremely hateful.
"I, I'll compete with you."
"I'll compare myself to you."
"And me too."
"And me too."
"I, I, I..."
"I'll have a competition with you too."
"And us too!"
...
A cacophony of voices erupted in the classroom; even the boys who hadn't spoken before joined in, none daring to be left behind. For a moment, the atmosphere in the classroom was incredibly lively.
Outside the classroom, out of sight of the first-graders, Teacher Zhou and another teacher were listening intently to the noise coming from the first-grader classroom. The other teacher said to Teacher Zhou with great envy, "Teacher Zhou, this is great! You don't have to worry at all that your students will stop studying. They'll definitely put all their effort into their studies."
"It's just kids being impulsive, nothing serious." Teacher Zhou shook her head with a smile, but then continued, "However, I'm really looking forward to seeing how far they can go. As long as they work hard every moment, I, as their teacher, will have given their parents a satisfactory answer."
Another teacher laughed and said, "Teacher Zhou, don't forget to help them calm down later. If all the boys lose and go home to make a scene, saying they're not going to school anymore, that would be troublesome."
"I know," Teacher Zhou nodded and said.
