These students are indeed quite good; they immediately follow instructions after just one lesson. Teacher Zhou was satisfied, but her expression only softened slightly. She then pointed to one student and said, "This student, do you have anything to say?"
The boy whose name was called quickly stood up, looked at Teacher Zhou and said, "Teacher, we didn't know there were classroom rules. If we had known, we would have followed them."
The other students instinctively wanted to speak up in agreement, but remembering what Teacher Zhou had said earlier, they swallowed their words and just kept nodding to express their inner thoughts.
Teacher Zhou nodded and said in a gentler tone than before, "Yes, I know you are all good children and good students. If you know the classroom rules, you will not break them. I trust you on that point."
The boys all smiled unconsciously, their lips twitching into grins.
Before they could even finish laughing, Teacher Zhou's next words rang in their ears: "But have you ever thought about the girl next to Zhou Xiaogang? She was just like you, unaware of the classroom rules beforehand. She didn't know beforehand, yet she did so well. If she had known, wouldn't she have done even better than you?"
