The clouds' faces had truly darkened.
Where is she tanned?
At most, it'll be a wheatish color—healthy! Don't you understand what health is?!
"I got tanned by the sun... Pshaw, I'm not tanned at all, this is a healthy tan! I got this tan because I have to work. A pampered young lady like you certainly wouldn't understand. But you must have learned a poem."
"Hoeing the fields at noon, sweat drips onto the soil; who knows that every grain in the bowl is the result of hard work!"
"If there were no farmers to grow crops and produce food, you, a pampered young lady and a member of the upper class, would still be starving. How would you have the chance to come up to me and mock me, saying I'm dark-skinned?"
"Furthermore, I believe that any well-mannered person, whether a country child or a city person, is not a wild child. Only those who are completely uncultured and cannot even understand human language are wild children."
"Gu Pingting, a city girl, a member of the upper class."
"Tell me yourself, what well-mannered young lady would go up to someone and call them a wild child without even asking what happened?"
"You say I'm ill-mannered?! You stinky country bumpkin, how dare you say I'm ill-mannered? Believe it or not, believe it or not, I'll have my dad shoot you!" Gu Pingting understood Yun Duo's words and immediately became angry. She pointed at Yun Duo's nose and shouted, trying to scare Yun Duo as she did so.
"I never said you were ill-mannered. You said it yourself just now." Yun Duo's tone was somewhat light, but it was incredibly infuriating.
Before Gu Pingting could get angry, Yun Duo said, "However, I've heard a saying that I think makes a lot of sense."
"Sometimes, the world is a mirror. You see others the way you are."
"Gu Pingting, you've pointed your finger at someone out of nowhere and made up stories, calling them a dirty, smelly country girl and an uncultured wild child. Shouldn't you reflect on yourself?"
Gu Pingting was just a child after all, and couldn't be considered sophisticated at all. Hearing Yun Duo's words, she actually felt that what she said made a lot of sense, and for a moment, she didn't know how to refute Yun Duo. Of course, she couldn't admit it to herself, and in her embarrassment and anger, she screamed in surprise.
The servants weren't familiar with Yun Duo. They hadn't yet treated this newly "returned" young lady as their mistress, so even though they knew Gu Pingting was there to cause trouble for Yun Duo, none of them thought to stop her. Moreover, to appear more "innocent" later, the servants all kept their distance, so they had no idea that Yun Duo had won the "confrontation" between the two children. They secretly hoped that their young lady (Gu Pingting) would restrain herself and not bully the "new" young lady to tears, otherwise, even if they had an alibi, they wouldn't be able to explain themselves and would get a scolding for nothing. It wouldn't hurt them, but it would still be quite annoying.
While they were still thinking, they suddenly heard Gu Pingting scream. They immediately panicked. Had a fight broken out? The "new" young lady was a country girl and must be strong. If their young lady suffered a loss, the old lady would surely "eat" them all up.
Thinking this, the servants' hearts were in their throats. They immediately dropped the 'work' they were pretending to do and rushed over to Gu Pingting.
