Chapter 168 Qian Duoduo: Beating Up the Scumbag!

Qian Duoduo couldn't help but laugh when she saw Qian Sheng's defiant expression. This distribution of land to individual households was later known as the first round of land contracting. In 1983, when the land was distributed to individual households, it was clearly stated in the contract that the contract would remain unchanged for thirty years.

However, due to the significant mobility and changes in the rural population in the country, in 1998, the first round of land contracting was carried out before the full 30-year term was reached. After 15 years, based on the actual rural population situation, the land was redistributed to individual households, and a second round of rural land contracting was conducted, with the contract term also being 30 years.

When the first round of land contracting was implemented and distributed to individual households, each family's original private plots remained unchanged. Grain fields and vegetable plots were allocated equally among the families. At that time, the grain fields in Beian Village were mainly used for rice cultivation, and the planting areas were relatively flat, with irrigation ditches surrounding the rice paddies. Vegetable plots, on the other hand, were mostly located in undulating areas.

Fortunately, Northeast China is a major agricultural province with abundant fertile land, and each family is allocated a considerable amount. In contrast, in the south where land is scarce, each person has only a few acres, and a family has only a little over an acre, which is not even enough to feed themselves. This is why people face such difficult living conditions and have to find ways to make money.

For example, if Qian Sheng's family has 5 members, each person would receive 1 mu of grain land, totaling 5 mu; each person would receive 8 fen of vegetable land, totaling 4 mu; and each person would receive 6 fen of rice seedling cultivation land, totaling 3 mu. In total, Qian Sheng's family would receive 12 mu of land. Based on this calculation, the crops grown on these lands would be enough to feed the family.

When the villagers saw that the county government had sent people to measure the village's land, they knew that the situation was irreversible. So they could only follow behind the surveyors, trying to find out whose land they were measuring. They learned that the land was being measured and then allocated, with the villagers drawing lots to determine the allocation.

The village felt that this was fairly fair, so they decided to go home, lie down, and wait for the draw.

Seeing that Qian Sheng had already resolved these matters, Qian Duoduo still headed towards the tofu shop according to her own plan. When she entered, only Jia Ao was tidying up.

Qian Duoduo asked, "Brother-in-law, why are you all alone?"

Jia Ao smiled as soon as he saw Qian Duoduo: "Duoduo is back. Everyone here has gone to the brigade headquarters. I saw that it was a bit messy, so I tidied up first!"

Qian Duoduo nodded, and was about to speak when she heard a commotion behind her: a man's shouting, a child's crying, an old woman's cursing, and a woman's explanation. Qian Duoduo and Jia Ao went in and saw an old woman wearing a red top and with slightly disheveled hair, one hand on her hip and the other pointing at Li Xiaohua, who was holding a crying little girl, cursing her!

Beside her stood a man glaring angrily at Li Xiaohua, uttering even more offensive words: "Li Xiaohua, let me tell you, you fucking dared to hide money! If I hadn't heard about this, would you still be hiding money from me?" He coughed and continued, "You fucking don't even look at yourself. You have no figure, no looks, nothing at all. If it weren't for your father and you being able to make money in this tofu shop, we wouldn't want you and this money-losing piece of trash. We can't even have two sons, what the fuck are you good for?"

When Qian Duoduo walked in and saw the slap mark on Li Xiaohua's face, her expression turned sour.

Hearing footsteps, Li Xiaohua turned around and saw Qian Duoduo and Jia Ao walking in. Her face didn't look good, but she had recovered from her sobbing. She secretly turned her face to the side, not wanting Qian Duoduo to see her disheveled state.

When Bao Guojun saw the little girl walk in, his eyes widened, and he said, "Who are you?"

When Grandma Bao heard her son's words, she turned her head to look at the two people who walked in. She recognized Jia Ao; this man was Zhang Chunmei's husband. Since Zhang Chunmei became pregnant, she had come to the tofu shop less often. Today, she happened to hear that Li Xiaohua had made two cents, so she brought her son over to teach this woman a lesson!

Qian Duoduo walked up to Li Xiaohua and said, "Sister Xiaohua, you got slapped? That slap must have hurt quite a bit, right?"

Li Xiaohua glanced at Qian Duoduo somewhat embarrassedly, then lowered her head!

When Bao Guojun saw that Qian Duoduo hadn't left him, he wanted to go forward. However, when he saw Jia Ao standing in front of Qian Duoduo, although this educated youth son-in-law was not even worth a slap from him, he was still the son-in-law of the deputy director of the tofu workshop. Zhang the tofu maker was quite powerful, and he couldn't afford to offend him!

Grandma Bao, however, had no such reservations. Seeing Qian Duoduo standing next to Li Xiaohua, she asked, "Who are you? This is a family matter. Get out of my way!"

Jia Ao stared at Old Lady Bao, his mouth agape, thinking to himself, "This old lady is truly brave!"

Qian Duoduo said, "Are you talking to me?"

Old Mrs. Bao snorted and said, "Are you deaf? Let me tell you, you good-for-nothing, stay out of our family's business!"

Qian Duoduo snorted: "Who are you calling a money-loser?"

"You're a worthless bastard!" Old Mrs. Bao replied without thinking.

Qian Duoduo laughed: "Of course it's that money-losing bastard who's scolding me!"

When Grandma Bao heard Qian Duoduo's words, her eyes widened and she said, "You little bitch, how dare you curse me? I'll slap you!" Then she rushed towards Qian Duoduo.

Qian Duoduo didn't expect that Old Lady Bao would reach out and slap him without warning. The slap actually landed on Qian Duoduo's face, which made Li Xiaohua's face turn ugly, and Jia Ao's jaw dropped to the ground!

Qian Duoduo touched the spot where she had been hit, looked at Bao Guojun, who was standing behind Grandma Bao with a smug expression, narrowed her eyes, rushed forward, slapped Bao Guojun across the face, and then kicked him in the stomach. While Bao Guojun was on the ground, she went straight up and unleashed a barrage of attacks.

This series of actions not only stunned Li Xiaohua and Jia Ao, but also left the old lady Bao, who had reached out first, somewhat bewildered. Shouldn't this young girl have been fighting with her and then lying on the ground to extort money? Why was she targeting her son instead?

While she was still somewhat disoriented, Bao Guojun had already been hit many times. He waved his hands wildly, trying to escape, but every time he tried to run away, someone would grab his hair. This was the most regrettable thing he had ever done in his life: growing his hair long made it easy for someone to grab him.

He wanted to turn back, but turning his head made his scalp ache. He screamed and cursed, trying to turn the tide, but all his insults were futile in the face of true strength.

Qian Duoduo didn't tolerate Bao Guojun's insults. He cursed at her, so she punched him in the face. Bao Guojun let out a howl and tasted a slightly metallic sweetness in his mouth.

Grandma Bao tried to rush up and hit Qian Duoduo, but she always hit Bao Guojun instead. Bao Guojun screamed in pain from the double blow!
