After receiving news from Jiang Sisi, Qian Duoduo went to see Qian Mao in person.
Qian Mao was very happy to receive the news from Qian Duoduo. He took her out for a big meal and on the way back to school, he said, "Duoduo, my happiness depends on you. You must keep an eye on my sister-in-law!"
Qian Duoduo said, "Third Brother, are you serious? Don't let Sisi's diva-like behavior fool you; as her friend and roommate, I still hope she can be happy in the future!"
Qian Mao smiled and said, "You and she get along well?"
Qian Duoduo laughed: "Jiang Sisi has some flaws, but she also has strengths. She used to be a bit pretentious, but now her roommates and I have corrected her a lot."
Qian Mao chuckled upon hearing Qian Duoduo's words: "I really don't know if being your roommate is a blessing or a curse!"
Qian Duoduo glared at Qian Mao and said, "Hmph, if you don't try to please me now, I'll talk bad about you in front of Sisi."
Qian Mao raised his hand and ruffled Qian Duoduo's hair. He laughed when he saw that her once smooth hair had become a mess.
Qian Duoduo was caught red-handed and tried to dodge but couldn't. With her hair all messy and she was furious, she thought to herself, "This is my third brother. A woman's revenge is never too late. When my mother comes back, I'll go and complain about him. That's what I'll do!"
From then on, Jiang Sisi became very busy. She used to be a bit picky, but now she's open to anything. She not only loves to dress up, but also often brings back food. She used to always daydream in class, but now she's incredibly focused. She used to wear a hat to shield herself from the sun when she went to the fields, but now she's fully armed, afraid of getting a tan. After all, having a boyfriend who's fairer than her makes it hard to turn into a dark charcoal.
Tian Rong watched as the girl in the white top and black pants left, carrying the small leather bag her boyfriend had bought for her. She then approached Qian Duoduo, who was reading on the bed, and looked up at her, saying, "Duoduo, is Sisi really dating your third brother?"
Qian Duoduo nodded: "Yes, the two of them are still quite infatuated. Let them date for a while. Sisi's family isn't from our area, so we don't know if they can get past Sisi's family's hurdle."
Tian Rong nodded and said, "It's already quite impressive that your third brother has achieved this much at his age!"
Qian Duoduo said, "Sister Tian Rong, it all depends on everyone's position and perspective. As the younger sister, I think my third brother is perfect in every way, and he could be paired with a celestial being."
But Sisi's parents also felt that their daughter was good in every way, except that she might not even be as good as the best man in the world.
Tian Rong smiled: "Having a sister-in-law like you is a blessing."
Qian Duoduo laughed: "Sister Tian Rong, I'll take that as a compliment."
Time flies, and the final exams are just around the corner. After receiving a phone call, Jiang Sisi's expression turned rather unpleasant.
She returned to her bed, sat down, and then angrily pulled the curtains shut, from which came the sound of soft sobbing.
Qian Duoduo, who was resting in her dormitory because of a heatstroke, heard crying in her half-awake state. She sat up, pulled back her bed curtains, and saw Jiang Sisi's legs sticking out from the doorway. The crying was coming from there.
Qian Duoduo asked in a hoarse voice, "Sisi, what's wrong? Who bullied you?"
The crying stopped abruptly, and no sound came from inside.
Qian Duoduo sighed and said, "If you encounter any problems, speak up. If we brainstorm, we can solve them. If we can, then it's not a problem. Only by keeping it to yourself will you hurt yourself and still not be able to solve the problem."
After a while, there was still no sound from Jiang Sisi's side. Qian Duoduo didn't say anything more either. Her throat was already a little sore. After thinking for a moment, she drew the bed curtains, slipped into the farm, found Su Ruanruan, and bought some cold medicine and anti-inflammatory drugs. Because Jiang Sisi was there, she didn't dare to stay at the farm for too long. After getting the medicine, she got out of bed and took it.
Qian Duoduo glanced at Jiang Sisi, who was still not moving, and said nothing more. Just as she was about to climb back into bed, she heard someone knocking on the door. She opened it and saw a girl from the next dormitory who told her that someone was looking for her downstairs.
Qian Duoduo smiled and thanked the other person, then went back inside to grab a light jacket and put it on before going downstairs. She was somewhat surprised to see Lu Yuan. She and Lu Yuan hadn't had much contact; the last time he'd contacted her was because of ginseng, and he'd invited her to dinner. Did he want to buy ginseng again this time?
Lu Yuan was holding a small cardboard box. When he saw Qian Duoduo, he handed the box up and said, "I heard from my sister that you have a cold. This is some special medicine. You will get better soon after taking it."
Qian Duoduo took it blankly and said, "You came here just to deliver medicine?"
Lu Yuan nodded.
Qian Duoduo smiled and said, "Thank you."
Lu Yuan thought for a moment and said, "Your throat is sore from internal heat. Don't talk too much, take your medicine on time, and you'll be fine soon."
Qian Duoduo nodded.
Lu Yuan said, "I was originally planning to treat you to a meal, but you should rest more now. Go on upstairs!"
Qian Duoduo was stunned for a moment. This person really was just delivering medicine! But since he told her to rest, she decided to go. Originally, she wanted to wait until he left before going upstairs, but then she heard Lu Yuan say, "You should go upstairs and rest. I'll watch you go up."
Seeing Lu Yuan's serious expression, Qian Duoduo nodded, turned around and walked towards the dormitory building. After going up the stairs, she looked back and saw that he was still there. As if he knew that she was looking back at him, he waved to her. Okay, she would go and rest obediently.
Lu Yuan used his spatial ability to 'see' that Qian Duoduo had already entered the dormitory, so he withdrew his ability and turned to leave.
