Chapter 296 Qian Duoduo: Encountering a Bizarre Old Lady!

"Who are you calling a money-loser?" Qian Duoduo asked in surprise, looking at the old lady in front of her who had one hand on her hip and the other pointing at her.

"You're a money-loser!" When it comes to using words, Old Mrs. Qiao is no match at all; she didn't realize at all that she was being insulted.

Chen Jiao overheard Qian Duoduo and Grandma Qiao's conversation and was stunned. She hadn't expected Qian Duoduo to confront Grandma Qiao head-on.

Upon hearing Grandma Qiao's reply, Qian Duoduo nodded and said, "That's right! That good-for-nothing is scolding me."

Upon hearing this, Grandma Qiao realized that she had fallen into Qian Duoduo's trap. She didn't ask who the newcomer was and immediately launched into a rap of traditional Chinese opera.

Qian Duoduo didn't stand on ceremony. Seeing a bucket nearby, she walked over, scooped out a ladleful of water, and splashed it at Old Lady Qiao's mouth.

Grandma Qiao was stunned when she was splashed with water, not expecting anyone to dare to lay a hand on her.

Qian Duoduo threw the water ladle into the bucket, clapped her hands, and said, "We're all women, so I really don't want to stoop to her level. But her mouth is really too dirty and smelly. She needs to wash it quickly."

Grandma Qiao was furious and reached out to hit Qian Duoduo. But who was Qian Duoduo? How could she be bullied by an old lady? She grabbed Grandma Qiao's hand and used the "dislocating tendons and bones" technique that Guo Ni had taught her to pull her on the shoulder. The once arrogant Grandma Qiao could only howl in pain.

Qian Duoduo knew she couldn't give this unreasonable old lady a chance to extort money from her, so when she struggled, Qian Duoduo pushed her arm back.

There will still be pain, but the marks from when my arm fell off are gone.

Chen Jiao was stunned. She didn't expect Qian Duoduo to dare to fight back, and her technique seemed quite formidable. Meanwhile, Grandma Qiao was sitting on the ground, clutching her arm and wailing, which attracted the attention of several military wives nearby.

However, no one went forward to find out what had happened, no one asked Old Mrs. Qiao how she was doing, no one offered to call her son for her, and no one showed any sympathy for her.

Grandma Qiao sat on the ground groaning, and no one came to help her for a long time. While sitting on the ground, she lashed out at the military wives standing around her. Qian Duoduo went over and took out a water ladle. Grandma Qiao immediately shut up because she could see that this newcomer would not be like the other military wives, who would not hold it against her. She would really stand up for what she didn't like!

When Grandma Qiao saw Chen Jiao standing beside her, she immediately asked, "My arm can't move! Sister Chen, who is she? A stranger, how dare she come here to bully military families? Is there no law? Is there no justice?"

Chen Jiao watched her howling and then glanced at Qian Duoduo, as if asking if she could tell her.

Qian Duoduo nodded, and Chen Jiao turned to look at Grandma Qiao and said, "You want to know who she is?"

Grandma Qiao wasn't stupid; she naturally saw the interaction between Chen Jiao and Qian Duoduo, as did everyone else. Now, the people gathered here were even more curious about Qian Duoduo's identity.

Chen Jiao said, "This is Commander Qian's younger sister."

Everyone looked at Qian Duoduo in surprise upon hearing Chen Jiao's words. Commander Qian had been alone on the island for so long. The sudden arrival of a relative drew curious glances from the group towards this remarkable young woman.

The old lady Qiao, who was wailing, immediately shut her mouth. Her son was only a company commander and would never dare to offend the regimental commander, especially since Regimental Commander Qian was the highest-ranking official on the former South Island.

Chen Jiao pointed to the vegetable garden next to them and said, "This vegetable garden was originally allocated to Commander Qian. Old Mrs. Qiao, you're farming Commander Qian's land, and now you're acting like it's your right to treat his sister like this. Do you think that's appropriate?"

Grandma Qiao muttered, "When I was planting the land, no one said it belonged to Commander Qian, and Commander Qian never asked me for land. Now just anyone is asking me for land. What am I going to do with all these vegetables I've planted?"

Qian Duoduo looked at the vegetables in the garden and said, "These are the vegetables you worked so hard to grow? The leaves are all yellow!"

Grandma Qiao said, "What can we do? We can't use the sea water to irrigate the vegetable garden, and we don't even have enough fresh water for everyone."

When Qian Duoduo heard what Grandma Qiao said, she realized that this was also a problem. However, she did not have a good impression of Grandma Qiao, so she said, "I didn't want this vegetable plot originally, but you not only insulted me, but also my parents. So I will talk to my brother and ask him to take it back."

Grandma Qiao's eyes widened immediately: "You can't bully the weak because you're big."

Qian Duoduo said, "What you're doing is robbery, which is unacceptable anywhere. Besides, don't try to act like an elder here. I've heard that the military's policy of allowing spouses to accompany service members is mainly to solve the problem of military spouses living apart and children being left unattended, not to allow spouses to bring their parents. What you're doing here is not in accordance with the regulations."

Grandma Qiao glared at him and said, "My son is serving in the army here, so why can't I be here too?"

Qian Duoduo laughed and said, "These are the regulations in the army. It's not like it's your village. You can throw a tantrum and act like a liar. But if you keep acting like this, I'll tell my brother that your son doesn't meet the regulations and you should be sent back to your hometown."

Upon hearing Qian Duoduo's words, Old Mrs. Qiao immediately shut her mouth. None of the issues were a problem, but the key was not to interfere with her son's work. If she did, she might really be sent back to her hometown, where everyone was an elder and she would have to be subservient. It was nowhere near as comfortable as it was here.

She thought for a moment, stood up, and left the vegetable garden, supporting herself on her arm. Qian Duoduo was immediately surrounded by people, all wanting to talk to her. Of course, Qian Duoduo couldn't understand many of them, so she just kept smiling and answered with a smile when she could understand them.

When Grandma Qiao returned home, she saw her daughter-in-law washing clothes while holding the child. She ignored her, thinking that she would discuss it with her son when he came back.

When the second company commander returned, he frowned upon hearing Old Lady Qiao's detailed words, but upon hearing about Commander Qian's sister, he said, "Mother, the girl you're talking about, is she Commander Qian's sister?"

Grandma Qiao nodded and said, "That's right, it was Chen Jiao, the wife of the battalion commander, who brought them here."

The second company commander said, "Mother, you shouldn't farm that land. We can't afford to offend the powerful."
