Qian Duoduo felt like she had been walking for a long time. She knew that the road ahead was upward, and she felt that she was not far from the top of the mountain. The call from the bottom of her heart was getting stronger and stronger.
She saw a glowing circle in the distance, like a legendary teleportation portal. She hesitated. What would she do if it teleported her to an unfamiliar place? What would happen to her family here? What if the road was so far?
However, she then thought that it wouldn't be bad if she could be teleported back to her original world!
Two thoughts tugged at his mind, and the call seemed somewhat urgent. Perhaps sensing Qian Duoduo's inner turmoil, a suction force pulled him into the circle, leaving only his words in the air: "Damn it, you cheated, you big scoundrel..."
After a moment of dizziness, Qian Duoduo found herself in a pitch-black place. She sat down on the ground and cursed, "What kind of place is this? How dare they cheat without even thinking it through! And they just dumped me in this dark, gloomy place!"
Just then, Qian Duoduo heard a rattling sound like iron chains. The sound made her tremble involuntarily. She looked in the direction of the sound and shouted, "Who's there?"
The chains continued to rattle, and Qian Duoduo shouted again, "Who? Who?"
The chains continued to rattle. Qian Duoduo hugged her knees, burying her head between them, her body trembling uncontrollably. The heat from the metal plaque persisted. Feeling its heat, Qian Duoduo felt a slight annoyance and said in a low voice, "Tell me, because of you, I came to this place, and now I'm in this wretched place, all dark and deserted. Do you want to keep me stuck here for the rest of my life?"
The chains continued to rattle, seemingly in response to Qian Duoduo's words, while the faint light in the darkness trembled along with the chains!
Qian Duoduo, terrified, closed her eyes and shouted, "Stop shaking me! It's too scary!"
The sound of the chains stopped abruptly.
Qian Duoduo was stunned. She hadn't expected that the chain could understand her. She closed her eyes and shouted, "Can you understand me? If you do, shake the chain."
"Splash!"
Upon hearing the sound of chains, Qian Duoduo shouted, "Are you human or ghost? If you're human, you'll shake once; if you're not, you'll shake twice!"
"Splash, splash"
Not human? Qian Duoduo's body trembled even more violently!
Qian Duoduo's voice trembled: "You, you're not human?"
"Splash!"
Qian Duoduo's voice trembled: "Are you an animal, or a demon?"
Silence reigned all around.
Qian Duoduo waited for a while, but it was still quiet. She said in a trembling voice, "Why didn't you say anything?"
"Splash!"
Qian Duoduo was taken aback when she heard the sound of the iron chain this time. It was different from before. It seemed to have that lazy attitude of "I can't be bothered with you, but since you asked me, I'll just give you a casual answer!"
Qian Duoduo was now a little curious because of this. She lifted her head from between her knees and slowly opened one eye. Using the faint light from the metal plate, she looked around. It was a cave, dark all around. She looked up and saw that there was no skylight. This wasn't a volcanic cave like this; it was like the interior of a hollowed-out mountain.
She slowly got up, touched the rope binding her body—it was gone. Qian Duoduo was dumbfounded. What should she do? Was she going to be trapped?
Holding the metal plaque in her hand, hoping the light could shine further, Qian Duoduo walked around the area and realized that it was huge, bigger than a football field. She couldn't help but say, "This place is too big. Has it hollowed out the entire mountain?"
"Splash!"
Hearing the sound of chains moving when she was bored, Qian Duoduo wasn't as scared as she had been at first. She followed the sound of the chains and walked for about half an hour until she saw a gap big enough for a person to pass through. The sound of the chains was coming from there.
Qian Duoduo asked in a trembling voice, "Are you even human?"
"Splash, splash"
Qian Duoduo didn't know why, but she seemed to hear a trace of anger and resentment in the rattling of the iron chains.
Qian Duoduo asked, "Will you hurt me?"
There was no movement.
Qian Duoduo asked again, "Will you hurt me?"
Quieting
Qian Duoduo stood at the gap, hesitated for a moment, and said, "If you don't hurt me, just make a sound."
"Splash!"
"Phew, that scared me to death!" Qian Duoduo patted her little chest and said, "It won't hurt me, we still have time to talk!"
Qian Duoduo squeezed through the gap, literally squeezing through. She was very glad that her body was still slim. If she hadn't transmigrated into the book, it would have been quite difficult for her to get through this gap. Back then, she would have simply retreated.
She slowly moved through the gap, mentally counting to 360, and finally crossed it, arriving at a passage for humans. Qian Duoduo looked at the dark passage ahead and said, "Hey, are you still there?"
"Splash!"
It's that helpless "raising a hand" again.
Qian Duoduo muttered, "You're so lazy, you should just die!"
"Splash, splash, splash"
Qian Duoduo immediately said, "Stop. If you keep doing this, I'm turning around and leaving."
The sound of the chains stopped abruptly.
Qian Duoduo thought to herself: Hmph, you little brat, I can't handle you!
Holding the metal plaque, she slowly walked through the passage, counting to 600 in her mind. After finishing, Qian Duoduo saw a spacious area with light. Although it wasn't as bright as day, the shimmering light from the luminous pearl allowed her to see what was happening here. She hung the metal plaque back around her neck and began to examine the space.
