The bearded men were about to shake their heads when they said, "Okay, let's go now."
Lu Yuan watched this scene and found it incredibly amazing. He had never seen someone shake their head and agree to something before.
The man at Qian Duoduo's feet watched as the other four lifted him up and left. He wanted to say something, but it was as if his mouth had been sealed shut.
Qian Duoduo and Lu Yuan followed slowly behind. When they arrived at the police station, the police officers heard about the incident and immediately locked up the man. When they presented evidence, he was lying through his teeth, while the other four people were with Qian Duoduo. All six of them gave the same story. At this point, the police officers realized that the man was lying to evade responsibility and put him in a detention center.
Qian Duoduo looked at the remaining four people and said, "Don't you have anything to do now?"
The bearded man stepped forward and said, "My name is A Biao. The four of us are from the same hometown. This tall and thin one is A Hu, this chubby one is Xiao Zai, and this one with long hair is A Mao. The four of us are from Pengcheng. We're here at the dock to do some work." He looked back at the door of the police station and said, "The one inside is the dock foreman. His name is A Qiao."
Qian Duoduo nodded and thought for a moment before saying, "I think the four of you are pretty good, a bit better than the one inside. I have some errands to run, so you guys can help me out."
Ah Biao and the other three looked around. They were currently living in Ah Qiao's rented house and were barely making ends meet. It was good to have something to do now, at least it was better than the fighting and killing they had just been doing. Ah Biao asked, "Can we have a proper meal first?"
Qian Duoduo smiled and nodded: "Of course, I'll even pay you wages."
The four of them immediately brightened up.
Looking at Qian Duoduo, Lu Yuan thought, "This young girl has a bit of confidence!"
