The windows of all four buildings have been installed. After inspecting the buildings and the sales office, Qian Duoduo suggested to Jiao Huang that some green plants be planted on some open spaces, and that roads and landscaping be constructed.
Jiao Huang was a little confused. Everyone understands road construction, but what does landscape mean, and what does greenery mean?
Qian Duoduo took out her colorful printed blueprint and said to Jiao Huang, "These four buildings are the first ones we've completed." She then pointed to the open space between the four buildings and said, "The roads in front of each of these buildings need to be specially constructed for drainage. We can't allow rainwater to accumulate on the roads after it rains; that's not allowed."
Jiao Huang nodded. Indeed, the drainage system had to be the best. The road in front of his house was blocked by poor drainage; once you went down, it turned into a cement road. The whole road was either water or mud, which annoyed everyone.
Qian Duoduo added, "We need to plant some grass, vegetation, and low trees between these buildings to prevent soil erosion and increase oxygen output, creating a green oxygen bar concept."
Jiao Huang looked at Qian Duoduo. Her ideas always impressed him, and some of her concepts were things he had never heard of before.
Qian Duoduo took out another blueprint and pointed to this spot, saying, "I want to build a parking lot here."
Jiao Huang looked at the location and it seemed familiar. This was the place where the workers were currently living in their makeshift dormitory. He said to Qian Duoduo, "Are you going to tear down all these houses?"
Qian Duoduo shook his head and said, "The building you live in now will remain untouched for now. It can be used as a sports stadium later. I'm going to build an above-ground parking lot in this area next to the sports stadium."
Jiao Huang looked at Qian Duoduo with some confusion and said, "Here? These days, it's already pretty good to have one bicycle at home. Why do you need such a big space as a parking lot? What are you going to park there for, bicycles?"
Qian Duoduo rolled her eyes at him and said, "Our community is designed to be the first high-end community in Shenzhen. Who are the homebuyers we're targeting? There might be businessmen from Hong Kong or foreigners. If you don't provide these things and facilities properly, and only consider your own domestic situation, how can you meet the requirements of a high-end community?"
Jiao Huang fell silent; these were things he hadn't considered.
Qian Duoduo added, "This place will become a landmark in Shenzhen in the future, so naturally we need to make things even better."
At this point, Jiao Huang's heart began to pound wildly. If the houses they built became landmarks in Pengcheng, it would be a tremendous honor for Huajian Group, and for him personally. So he stopped questioning Qian Duoduo's words and began construction.
Qian Feng called Qian Duoduo and told her that Professor Yuan had boarded the train back to Harbin, Heilongjiang Province.
Qian Duoduo mentally calculated how long it would take to get from Hainan Island to Harbin, and then said to Qian Feng, "Okay, I understand. I'll call and confirm when the teacher arrives in Harbin."
Qian Feng said, "No need, I've already told Mao Hai to take Professor Yuan home when he gets to Harbin, and then have him call you back."
Qian Duoduo laughed and said, "Big brother, you're so thoughtful."
Qian Duoduo has already begun preparing for the renovation of the sales office. Qian Yin used to work as a carpenter under his master, so his understanding of renovation is superior to others. During the training of these veterans, he also discovered some people who are suitable for renovation work.
He also assembled a small renovation team of 32 people, including electricians, carpenters, and bricklayers.
When Qian Yin saw the dozen drawings that Qian Duoduo had made after observing the sales office, he was a little confused. First, he hadn't expected his younger sister to have a talent for drawing. Second, there were some parts of the drawings that he didn't understand, such as: what is this curve? Why are there waves? Why is there a wall here? This wall is too small; it can't even enclose a room. Isn't this a waste?
Not only Qian Yin was confused, but everyone else was also a bit bewildered, because in everyone's impression, houses were square and upright, and that was considered more attractive. How could such a wavy design be made? And why was there such an arched doorway?
After gathering everyone's questions and opinions, Qian Yin went directly to Qian Duoduo. The two siblings sat at the dining table. Qian Yin took a sip of water, pushed the blueprint in front of him, and asked, "Duoduo, did you make a mistake with this blueprint?"
Qian Duoduo knew, of course, that these blueprints were ahead of their time, and some things didn't fit contemporary aesthetics. However, before transmigrating into the book, she had seen many real estate developments, and the sales center was the face of a residential community, so she naturally hoped that hers would be refreshing and unique.
Qian Duoduo laughed and said, "Where did I go wrong? I think it's fine!"
Looking at Qian Duoduo's smiling face, Qian Yin felt a sense of helplessness and said, "Why is this part curved? Why are there partitions here? Why is it tiered?"
Seeing Qian Yin's serious expression, Qian Duoduo smiled and said, "Do you know who our primary customers are in this community?"
Seeing Qian Yin deep in thought, Qian Duoduo added, "If the sales office is decorated more luxuriously, it will be a refreshing sight. In particular, the better the sales office is decorated, the more work the construction team will have later. The more work they have, the more money they will make. The more money they make, the more motivated these guys will be to work. It's a virtuous cycle."
