Chapter 401 Money and Plenty: The Anxiety of the Two Factory Managers!

Qian Duoduo brought a batch of clothing to Beijing and rented a shop near Xidan. He had Xiaozai and Amao, two people with southern accents, sell the clothes there, mainly promoting the fact that the clothes came from Guangdong.

Qian Duoduo didn't go to some big shopping malls to discuss business. Although selling these clothes in shopping malls was already expected to be very popular, Qian Duoduo wanted to launch her own clothing brand. So, she directly rented a storefront, and for at least three years.

When Qian Duoduo opened his shop, he simply set off firecrackers and distributed flyers to some businesses and organizations. His goal was clear: to let people know that there was a clothing store. All the clothes in the store came from Guangzhou, with novel and unique styles, and no cloth ration coupons were required; customers could pay directly with cash. Of course, the prices were comparable to those in department stores.

To enhance the store's appeal and customer experience, Qian Duoduo personally participated in designing the interior decoration. She adopted a simple and elegant style, and included fitting rooms to make it easier for customers to try on clothes. This innovative approach sparked great interest in the clothing among many shoppers.

Shortly after opening, Wanmao Clothing Store became incredibly successful. With sales soaring, Qian Duoduo decided to have goods transported from Guangzhou to Beijing by train. This significantly shortened the supply cycle and met the growing demand from customers. As time went on, more and more customers heard about the store's reputation and flocked to it to buy clothes. Suddenly, Wanmao Clothing Store became bustling with activity, packed with people, and business was booming.

Xiaozai kept a close eye on the store's sales figures every day, watching the numbers steadily climb, filling him with joy and a sense of accomplishment. As business improved, he began to feel that he wasn't enough staff, so he took it upon himself to hire three new servers. Even so, the store remained bustling with customers, even busier than before.

Considering the store's security, Qian Duoduo decided to arrange for three veterans to patrol the store periodically. Although these veterans had left the military, they maintained the same level of discipline and vigilance as soldiers. Their presence deterred many unscrupulous individuals from committing illegal acts, ensuring store safety and giving customers greater peace of mind while shopping.

The exceptionally booming sales of Wanmao Clothing Store aroused the jealousy of some surrounding clothing merchants. Some attempted to imitate Wanmao's business model and even created trademarks similar to Wanmao's. However, these attempts were quickly discovered and dealt with by Wanmao. Soon after, these infringers received invitations from the industrial and commercial administration officials and had to go to accept investigation and punishment. Faced with huge fines, they helplessly shed tears, realizing that their actions were wrong. They all went to Wanmao's owner to try to reconcile, but when they learned that the owner was not there, they were truly heartbroken.

Some people wanted revenge on Wanmao, but these three veterans were no pushovers. They kept those seeking retribution going in and out of the police station. This incident gave people a deeper understanding of the owner of Wanmao Clothing Store. Everyone realized that this owner was not someone easily bullied or provoked. Although the two southerners in Wanmao's store weren't the actual owners, their firm and decisive attitude made them impossible to ignore. Therefore, even if someone wanted to cause trouble, they wouldn't dare to act rashly for fear of the consequences.

At Qian Duoduo's factory, the three garment production lines were operating day and night, the roar of machines never ceasing, and workers busily moving about, seemingly tireless. Meanwhile, Qian Duoduo also rented two more production lines from a trouser factory, further expanding its production capacity.

Factory Director Liu stood to the side, witnessing the bustling scene before him, and couldn't help but feel envious. He turned to the production foreman beside him and sighed, "Look at their pants, they're producing and shipping them every day. I'm really envious!"

The production manager chimed in sourly, "Yeah, these two production lines aren't under our factory's control anymore. I heard that the workers at the garment factory earn 100 yuan a month, while our old workers only get 56 yuan." As the supervisor himself, his salary was only 82 yuan.

Factory Director Liu sighed deeply, shaking his head helplessly, his eyes revealing endless disappointment and confusion. He muttered to himself, "I heard that Old Yang plans to keep one production line to meet the city's sales targets, and rent the rest to Qian Duoduo. Tell me, how come they can sell clothes so well?"

The production manager stood aside, looking at Director Liu with a hint of admiration and envy in his voice, and replied, "Their product has a good design and strict quality control. I think our factory can follow those requirements."

Factory Director Liu sighed again, his expression one of utter frustration. He said slowly, “We can control the quality, but the designs of our products can’t compare to theirs. Look at their fabrics; some are specially dyed at Xingsheng Factory, and others are bought from other fabric factories. These are things we can’t do.”

After a moment of silence, Director Liu continued, "You know, when I first met this young woman two years ago, I didn't think she was anything special. How come she's now living at someone else's beck and call? It really puzzles me. What is it about her that has enabled her to achieve such great success in just two years?"

The production director looked at the factory manager with a serious expression, sighed heavily, and slowly said, "We have already completed our factory's targets. Factory manager, do you think we should talk to Chairman Qian?" His eyes were full of expectation.

Factory Director Liu frowned, pondered for a moment, and then replied, "Let's see how it goes!" There was a hint of hesitation in his tone, as if he was reluctant to lower himself to cater to Qian Duoduo's ideas.

Time flies, and half a month has passed in the blink of an eye. One day, Factory Manager Yang suddenly called Factory Manager Liu and asked anxiously, "Old Liu, did Qian Duoduo also rent an assembly line in your factory?"

Factory Director Liu was somewhat surprised, but still answered truthfully, "Yes, what's wrong?"

Factory Director Yang's voice turned serious as he said, "If that's the case, how come I heard that she found a clothing factory in Tuocheng to produce woolen coats and trousers, and also a knitting factory to make sweaters?"

Factory Director Liu was stunned, unable to believe his ears, and quickly asked, "Really?"

Factory Director Yang said anxiously, "Old Liu, this matter concerns our factory. Do you think I would joke about this?" His tone was filled with anxiety and worry.

Factory Director Liu was silent for a moment, then said, "How about we go find Qian Duoduo?" There was a hint of unease in his voice.

Factory Director Yang sighed and said helplessly, "I went to look for her as soon as I received the news, but she wasn't at the factory." His face was full of disappointment and helplessness.
