Two hours later, there was a gentle knock on the door. Hearing the sound, Lu Fen quickly ran to the door and opened it. Standing outside was Liu Wan, who had changed into a brand new outfit and looked refreshed, as if she had become several years younger. Lu Fen excitedly took Liu Wan's hand and asked with concern, "Mom, how are you feeling now? Is anything bothering you?"
Liu Wan's eyes instantly reddened, tears welling up. She struggled to control her emotions, replying in a choked voice, "Yes, yes, wonderful! I feel better than ever before." Then, she turned to Qian Duoduo, who was walking towards her, and tightly grasped Duoduo's hands, saying with tears of gratitude, "Duoduo, your aunt doesn't know how to thank you enough. You cured my illness and gave me back my health. I feel several years younger now!"
Qian Duoduo smiled as she looked at the hand that was holding hers. She could feel that Liu Wan's hand was trembling, which showed that she was really excited.
Liu Wan reached out and pulled Lu Fen, asking, "Where's your dad?"
Lu Fen said, "My dad is in the study, and I'm chatting with Duo Duo right now."
Liu Wan said, "Okay, then you chat, I'll go find your dad." She then walked briskly toward the study, but she quickly returned. She pulled Lu Fen and said, "Your dad's study door isn't locked, but it won't open. What should we do? I've been knocking for ages and he still won't open it."
Lu Fen and Qian Duoduo exchanged glances and quickly walked towards the study. Lu Fen, true to her fierce nature, gripped the doorknob and pushed hard inside. It wasn't that the door was locked, but rather that something was pushing against it.
Just as Lu Fen was still pushing the door in, a sudden force pushed her out. Lu Fen was stunned for a moment; hadn't she just opened the door? How did she get out?
Not long after, Lu Yijian opened the door, rubbing his back as he walked out. Seeing Lu Fen still standing there in a daze, he said helplessly, "Girl, what are you doing? Your father is only mortal, and you almost sent me to my death."
Upon hearing this, Lu Fen snapped out of his daze, scratched his head sheepishly, and explained, "Sorry, Dad, I just wanted to see what you were doing in there! Who knew this door would be so hard to open?"
Lu Yijian smiled and shook his head, saying, "Alright, stop explaining, I understand what you mean."
Lu Fen stuck out her tongue, then asked curiously, "Dad, what were you doing in there just now? Why didn't you answer Mom's knock?"
Lu Yijian smiled awkwardly and said, "Oh, well... I was inside handling official business and didn't hear you knocking."
Lu Fen looked at her father suspiciously, but didn't press him further. She knew in her heart that her father was hiding something from them, but since he didn't want to talk about it, she would wait until he wanted to.
Lu Fen glanced at Liu Wan beside her, her tone carrying a hint of comfort, "Mom, don't worry! We're worried about Dad, though." Turning to Lu Yijian, she added, "Dad, you've been inside for so long, and you haven't answered the door. Mom's almost crying."
Lu Yijian smiled and patted Lu Fen on the shoulder, then patted Liu Wan's hand reassuringly, before turning to Qian Duoduo and saying, "Alright, I'm out now. I'm going to take a shower first, and Duoduo will be here in a bit. We need to have a chat."
Hearing this, Qian Duoduo carefully observed Lu Yijian's expression and found that he looked much more energetic than before the meal. Reassured, she nodded, indicating she understood. She watched Lu Yijian and Liu Wan enter the bedroom, while Lu Fen walked over, slightly frowning, and said, "Duoduo, I feel like my parents have changed so much!"
Qian Duoduo was pulled back to reality by Lu Fen's words. She sighed with some emotion, then smiled and asked, "Now, do you have confidence in what I gave you?"
Lu Fen immediately flashed a confident smile and replied with a grin, "Of course! I've always had a lot of faith in you!" After saying that, he winked mischievously and made a face at Qian Duoduo.
When Lu Yijian and Qian Duoduo sat in the study, Lu Yijian sat ramrod straight, like a soldier, his eyes fixed intently on Qian Duoduo. Neither of them spoke. At that moment, Lu Yijian felt that his second son had indeed gained an advantage in finding a daughter-in-law. Lu Yuan had been excessively clever since childhood, but he hadn't used it for good. Now, however, he was using it for good, but he hadn't seen her even once a year. He heard that she had gone to the weapons research institute to develop new weapons. The young girl in front of him was only his fiancée. He wondered if she should hurry up and become a member of the Lu family.

Aunt Liu was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and said, "I just came over to call your father."
Lu Fen's gaze was icy: "Do you think I believe what you're saying?"
Seeing Lu Fen's expression, Aunt Liu knew that things were unlikely to end well today, so she nonchalantly patted her clothes and said, "Think what you want. I'll go downstairs and make tea for Lu Yuan."
Lu Fen stepped forward to stop Aunt Liu, and saw Aunt Liu step back. At that moment, Lu Fen's eyes lit up: "Not bad, you've got some skills."
