Chapter 471 Qian Duoduo: I went to Beijing to meet Lu Yuan, but I didn't expect to be robbed!

With Bai Yu by her side, Qian Duoduo's school life after the start of the semester was not so lonely. She could even tease Bai Yu from time to time, which was actually good for her health.

Just as Qian Duoduo was concentrating on her experiment, Professor Yuan suddenly approached her with a delighted expression and said, "Duoduo, I just got a call from Lu Yuan! He said he has a full ten-day vacation in a few days and really hopes you can come to Beijing to see him." Hearing this, Qian Duoduo's face instantly lit up with a bright smile, her heart filled with joy. After all, being able to see Lu Yuan, whom she hadn't seen in so long, was an incredibly exciting thing for her.

So, Qian Duoduo didn't hesitate to ask Professor Yuan for leave and rushed home to pack her belongings. She carefully organized her letter of introduction and other documents, making sure she didn't forget anything important. Of course, there was also Bai Yu, the little guy, who was unceremoniously stuffed into her farm space.

After everything was ready, Qian Duoduo said gently to Bai Yu, "Stay here obediently, we'll be leaving soon." Then, without looking back, she went to the airport and bought a ticket for the next flight to Beijing.

Bai Yu was stunned when she was left in the space. Then she saw that another cat had to stay here. If she had never seen the outside world, she could have stayed. But after seeing the outside world and tasting the food made by Qian Duoduo, which was so delicious and had a trace of spiritual energy, she realized that it was easy to go from frugality to luxury, but difficult to go from luxury to frugality.

Professor Yuan had originally planned to travel to Beijing by train with Qian Duoduo, but to his surprise, when he asked Liang Kun to go find Qian Duoduo, the gate to the courtyard was already locked. Helpless, Liang Kun had no choice but to turn back to Professor Yuan and tell him the truth.

Upon hearing this, Professor Yuan couldn't help but shake his head with a wry smile and sighed, "This girl is really impatient! Oh well, since that's the case, let's go to Beijing ourselves."

Liang Kun's lips curled up slightly, revealing a faint smile. He had known Qian Duoduo for quite some time. This woman was an absolutely formidable character. Not only was she wealthy and decisive, but she was also exceptionally capable and highly educated. It seemed as if she possessed all the good things in the world. Such an outstanding person naturally attracted the attention of Professor Yuan's fellow students, who were filled with envy and jealousy.

As for whether anyone harbored resentment towards him, Liang Kun wasn't entirely sure, but at least he himself didn't feel that way. He had truly benefited greatly from the study tour he participated in with Professor Yuan and Qian Duoduo; why would he be jealous of those who had given him such advantages? Of course, he wanted to cling to their coattails, hoping for future benefits.

With a slight jolt, the plane landed smoothly on the airport runway. Qian Duoduo, carrying a small handbag, hurriedly boarded the bus bound for downtown Beijing. Sitting in the cramped seat, Qian Duoduo couldn't help but reminisce about the lightning-fast subways and light rails of the 21st century. Compared to them, this slow, bumpy bus was a world of difference!

Every time the vehicle drove over the potholes, Qian Duoduo felt the muscles in his face involuntarily tremble, and he couldn't help but complain inwardly, "How can the road conditions be this bad? Can't they just fix it properly?"

At this point, the airport shuttle bus only had one final stop. Upon arriving at the parking lot, Qian Duoduo dragged her exhausted body off the bus. She found a flowerbed, gently sat down, and massaged her legs, which were already sore and swollen, seemingly numb, trying to relieve the discomfort and pain from the long journey. Then, she picked up her seemingly casual luggage bag, swayed towards the roadside, and waved to flag down a taxi.

The car sped along, finally coming to a smooth stop at the entrance of the alleyway where Qian Lu's family had given Qian Duoduo. Night had fallen, the sky shrouded in darkness as if by a giant black curtain. The narrow, deep alley was pitch black, with only faint lights flickering in some places. The cool moonlight shone through the clouds, barely illuminating the uneven road ahead.

Qian Duoduo carefully carried her things ahead, muttering to herself, "Why is this alley so dark and quiet?" Just as her mind was wandering, she suddenly felt a soft footstep behind her. Turning around, she saw two figures who had quietly followed her. The two were dressed plainly, with messy and slightly long hair, and they furtively flanked Qian Duoduo on either side.

Qian Duoduo was startled, as if struck by lightning, but she was no ordinary woman. Her calm temperament, honed by years of wandering outside, and her Baguazhang training with Guo Ni since childhood, allowed her to quickly regain her composure.

She raised her eyebrows slightly, a hint of doubt and annoyance flashing in her beautiful eyes. She thought to herself, "The capital has always been known for its good public security. How could it have become so bad now? I've only been away from the capital for less than a year, and I've already been robbed? It seems I need to talk to my uncle about strengthening the security in the capital."

Just then, the two robbers stopped their hurried steps like ghosts. They sandwiched Qian Duoduo between them, one in front and one behind. The one in the lead moved with lightning speed, quickly reaching into his pocket and pulling out an incredibly sharp, gleaming fruit knife. The blade, illuminated by the cold, bright moonlight, gleamed with a chilling light, as if it could easily slit a person's throat.

The man's face twisted in a ferocious expression. His triangular eyes glared menacingly at Qian Duoduo, and he opened his foul-smelling mouth, roaring in a low, fierce voice like a wild beast, "You filthy woman, you'd better hand over all your money to me right now! Otherwise, don't blame us brothers for being impolite!"

However, faced with such blatant threats and intimidation, Qian Duoduo remained surprisingly calm and composed. Far from showing any fear, she instead smiled slightly, a hint of disdain in her eyes... Then, she slowly bent down, gracefully placing her elegant handbag gently on the ground. She straightened up, looked directly at the man with the knife, and said calmly, "What if I don't hand it over?"

Upon hearing this, the robber's expression changed drastically, veins bulging on his forehead, making him appear even more ferocious and terrifying. He gripped the fruit knife tightly, thrusting it forward with tremendous force, the tip almost touching Qian Duoduo's fair and delicate skin, and shouted again, "Hmph! Today you'll probably taste the bitterness of a white knife going in and a red knife coming out!"

However, Qian Duoduo remained smiling, showing no fear. Her beautiful eyes shone with an indescribable confidence as she softly replied, "That's not necessarily true..."
