Jin Jinxiu immediately nodded: "Okay, Mom will put breakfast in the pot to heat it up for her. Duoduo has gone to school, Lao San has gone to work, and your father and Lao Si are in the courtyard over there, preparing to raise the roof beam."
Qian Feng nodded: "Okay, I'll grab something to eat and then I'll head over."
Ling Yun was awakened by shouts. She looked around groggily and was immediately startled awake. She was in Beian Village, not at home. She quickly got up and dressed. As soon as she reached the door, she saw Jin Jinxiu standing there, looking into the courtyard next door.
She went over and asked, "Mom, what are you looking at?"
Jin Jinxiu came to her senses and said, "You're awake. Are you hungry? Your mother made you some food, it's warming up in the pot."
Lingyun nodded: "Mother, now that you mention it, I am indeed a little hungry."
When Jin Jinxiu saw Ling Yun's gaze turn to the lively courtyard next door, she smiled and said, "There are a lot of people at that house today because of the roof-raising ceremony. Let's just watch from here."
Ling Yun nodded and saw Jin Jinxiu place a small table at the door and give her a small stool to sit on. She obediently sat down and saw Jin Jinxiu come out with two plates of dishes and place them on the small table. She also placed a bowl of rice and a pair of chopsticks on the plate in front of her.
She looked up at Jin Jinxiu and saw her smiling as she said, "Eat up. There's an auspicious time for raising the roof beam. You woke up at the auspicious time, so I knew you were a lucky person."
Ling Yun couldn't help but laugh when she heard Jin Jinxiu's words. She was woken up by the noise, and she felt lucky. This mother-in-law was really funny. However, she had only spent two days with her, and she really liked her. At least, she didn't act like one of those rural mothers-in-law who made their daughters-in-law look bad.
