When Qian Duoduo woke up, it was already dark outside. She couldn't even turn over because a scoundrel had placed his large hand on her waist and the weight on her legs told her how he had completely devoured her during the day, leaving not even a trace. Although she cursed him a thousand times in her heart, she still enjoyed the pleasure of this brief separation.
The person lying in his arms stirred slightly, and Lu Yuan slowly woke up. His years of vigilance had made him acutely aware of his surroundings, but he was still surprised that he could sleep so soundly next to Qian Duoduo. Such a deep sleep was rare for him in recent years. Perhaps it was the exhaustion from yesterday's events, or perhaps the presence of his beloved had made him lower his guard. Lu Yuan asked gently, "Darling, would you like some more?" Qian Duoduo quickly shook her head, indicating that she was already full.
After Lu Yuan finished cleaning up the dishes, he returned to the bedroom from the kitchen and found that Qian Duoduo was already lying down and fast asleep. He tiptoed to the bedside, turned off the light, and carefully got into bed, afraid of waking his sleeping lover.
They slept soundly through the night, the sunlight streaming through the curtains onto the bed, yet both remained deep in slumber. Only a sudden, urgent ring of the telephone yanked them back to reality. Lu Yuan groggily opened his eyes, reaching for the extension phone on the bedside table. After finally managing to grab the receiver, he weakly replied, "Hello?" A familiar voice came from the other end, loudly asking, "Are you two up yet? Get up quickly, we're going out for dinner together later!"
Lu Yuan sat up sleepily, looked at Qian Duoduo who had also been woken up, and asked softly, "Duoduo, Brother Qian Xiang called and said he wants to have dinner together. What do you think?"
Qian Duoduo nodded groggily and replied, "Okay, then get up!"
Qian Duoduo quickly got out of bed, saying as she dressed, "I'll go wash up first. Let's leave early so we don't get late." She then headed towards the bathroom. However, before she even reached the door, Lu Yuan suddenly leaped out of bed, rushed to Qian Duoduo, and scooped her into the bathroom, muttering, "Let me prepare some things first, and squeeze toothpaste onto your toothbrush while I'm at it. Baby, hurry up and wash up."
The moment he uttered those words, he saw Qian Duoduo begin to break free from his embrace. This made Lu Yuan, who was afraid she would fall, very nervous. He was then met with a huge eye roll from Qian Duoduo. Lu Yuan shook his head helplessly, a wry smile on his face, thinking to himself that this girl really had no manners whatsoever. Qian Duoduo, on the other hand, landed heavily, her legs almost giving way, but she still managed to push Lu Yuan away.
The sound of running water came from the upstairs bathroom as Qian Duoduo began to wash up diligently. Downstairs in the kitchen, Lu Yuan put on an apron and quickly started preparing breakfast. He skillfully fried eggs, heated up buns, and reheated the leftover porridge from last night. He also made sure to tidy up the mess in the living room—the "battlefield" the two had created the day before—and put everything back on its place. Soon, the entire house was filled with the aroma of food.
Qian Duoduo, dressed in a gorgeous dress, gracefully descended the stairs. Her figure was slender, and after Lu Yuan's care, she resembled a blooming flower, attracting Lu Yuan's gaze. Qian Duoduo was still somewhat tired, even struggling to muster energy while washing up. So, after washing, she took out a nourishing pill from her spatial storage and swallowed it without hesitation. Fortunately, Han Jun wasn't currently in seclusion, so the nourishing pills were plentiful for Qian Duoduo, preventing her from running out.
The two sat at the dining table. Qian Duoduo only drank a bowl of porridge and ate a fried egg before shaking her head to indicate she was full and wouldn't eat anymore. Lu Yuan, on the other hand, devoured the remaining food on the table in a flash. Afterward, Lu Yuan got up to go upstairs. At this moment, Qian Duoduo asked, "When do we leave?"
Lu Yuan replied, "Let's meet at the Plum Restaurant in Pengcheng at 2:30 pm."
Upon hearing the time and place, Qian Duoduo glanced at her watch, nodded, and, seeing that there was still some time, looked Lu Yuan up and down and said, "I've prepared a few outfits for you. Go upstairs and change."
Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan was overjoyed. He walked over to Qian Duoduo, kissed her on the forehead, and then quickly went upstairs.
