Chapter 637 Spring Festival Overture, Fifth Update (Title unrelated)

When everyone arrived at the fifth-floor dining area, they were already dazzled by the array of specialty dishes from all over China. Qian Duoduo smiled and said, "Uncle Lu, Aunt Lu, what would you like to eat? Would you like to try some of Anhui's local specialties, or would you like to try some delicacies from other provinces? For example, our famous Northeastern cuisine is all available here!"

Mr. and Mrs. Lu exchanged a glance, but before they could respond, Lu Heng eagerly called out, "Auntie Duoduo, can we go eat Northeastern cuisine? My mom often cooks Northeastern food at home, but what she makes isn't very authentic. So, I really want to try some real Northeastern food and see if it's as delicious as my mom describes."

Upon hearing this, Qian Duoduo glanced at Lu Heng. Liu Yuan wanted to correct him, but before she could speak, she saw Qian Duoduo smile slightly and softly reply, "Okay, let's go eat Northeastern cuisine then. There's a place over there that serves iron pot stew; I heard it's quite delicious."

The group walked excitedly toward the iron pot stew restaurant. After entering the restaurant, everyone sat down and started ordering. After some discussion, they finally chose a plate of pork ribs and a plate of chicken pieces. Soon after, the waiter brought the ingredients to the table and put them into the huge iron pot to stew.

Looking at the huge iron pot in front of her, Lu's mother asked with a face full of curiosity, "Does this iron pot stew mean we just eat it by sitting around the pot?"

Liu Yuan, standing to the side, couldn't help but laugh out loud, happily replying, "Haha, that's right! I love this iron pot stewed pork ribs and iron pot stewed chicken the most. Duoduo, you really understand me so well!"

The hearty and delicious Northeastern-style iron pot stew was devoured. Mr. and Mrs. Lu leaned back in their chairs, completely satisfied. Mrs. Lu gently stroked her slightly protruding and rounded belly, and exclaimed sincerely, "Duoduo, I have to tell you the truth, this Northeastern-style iron pot stew is absolutely delicious!"

Lu Heng let out a burp and said, "Right now, all I can think about is going to Northeast China!"

Hearing this, Qian Duoduo couldn't help but laugh and quickly replied, "Auntie, don't be so polite. Actually, what I made is just a modified version of Northeastern iron pot stew. But if my mother comes from her hometown in Northeast China in the future, you will definitely be able to taste more authentic Northeastern cuisine!"

After a satisfying meal, the group leisurely strolled through the vast shopping mall. Qian Duoduo, while walking, looked with interest at a shopping guide advertising movies on the sixth floor. Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she excitedly called out to Mr. and Mrs. Lu, who were walking ahead: "Grandpa, Grandma, this shows two really exciting new movies currently showing! One is called 'Fist of Legend,' and the other is 'Hail the Judge,' starring Stephen Chow, which I've always loved! How about... we go see a movie together?"

Upon hearing this, Aunt Lu was taken aback at first, then waved her hand and said, "What movie? What's so interesting about it? It's just like the kind of movie about tunnel warfare."

Qian Duoduo quickly explained, "Auntie, these two movies are really popular lately! Lots of people come here specifically to see them, and the reviews are all very high!"

At this moment, Lu Heng, who was curious, came over and asked, "Aunt Duoduo, which two movies are you referring to?"

After giving a brief introduction with a smile, Qian Duoduo asked with a beaming smile, "Fist of Fury and Hail the Judge, which one should we watch first?"

At this moment, Lu Heng thought for a moment and then said, "I really want to see that movie 'Fist of Legend,' is it like Huo Yuanjia, all hehehehe? But, I also want to see that other movie, 'Hail the Judge'!" After saying that, a look of anticipation appeared on his face.

Hearing Lu Heng's words, Qian Duoduo thought that since there was time, she might as well watch both movies together. Just as she was about to voice this idea, Lu Heng blinked his big, bright eyes and asked eagerly, "Aunt Duoduo, is it okay? Can we really watch both?"

At this moment, Lu's mother, who was sitting next to him, seemed a little embarrassed. She said softly, "Oh dear, wouldn't it be too wasteful to watch two movies at once? Why don't we just choose one to watch?"

Although Lu Heng felt a little regretful that she couldn't see the two movies she wanted to watch, she understood that Aunt Qian Duoduo was covering all the expenses for the family's trip to Shenzhen. So, the sensible girl didn't say anything more, but simply nodded quietly, indicating her agreement with her grandmother's suggestion.

Seeing everyone's reaction, Qian Duoduo couldn't help but laugh. She waved enthusiastically and said, "Haha, it's okay! The movie theater is upstairs, let's go up quickly!" With that, she led everyone towards the elevator.

Time quietly ticked down to 10 p.m. As the last movie ended and the lights came on, the audience rose, their faces still brimming with lingering satisfaction from the captivating film. They slowly walked out of the theater, seemingly still immersed in the gripping plot, clearly wanting more.

Qian Duoduo warmly accompanied the Lu family out of the movie theater. Everyone was still reminiscing about how cool he looked when he kicked the "Sick Man of East Asia" plaque to pieces, as well as the various funny scenes in "Hail the Judge".

They slowly walked to the hotel, and she escorted them to their rooms. Just as they were about to go inside, she called out to Liu Yuan and said softly, "Tomorrow is Sunday, and school is on holiday. On Monday, I'll take you to visit our school so you can see the environment there."

Liu Yuan smiled and nodded in agreement. After all, their main purpose in coming to Pengcheng was to learn about the school and see if they could get a job there.

Just then, Qian Duoduo caught sight of Lu Heng standing to the side. She noticed a hint of reluctance in his eyes, as if he wanted to say something but was too shy to speak. Looking at his adorable expression, Qian Duoduo's heart stirred. She walked over, gently patted Lu Heng's shoulder, and asked with a smile, "Tomorrow I'll take you somewhere else to play; there will definitely be a surprise!"

Upon hearing this, Lu Heng was taken aback at first, then his eyes flashed with surprise, and he nodded vigorously.

At that moment, Qian Duoduo's gaze fell upon Lu Heng's bright, large eyes, and the little guy's face instantly lit up like sunshine. The more she looked at him, the more interesting she found him, thinking that this trip would definitely be filled with more joy and surprises because of Lu Heng's presence.
