Chapter 660 Qian Duoduo: Leaving Beian Village and Returning to Harbin to Study with Her Teacher!

As usual, Qian Duoduo leisurely arrived at the tofu shop. She looked around curiously, but was surprised to find that almost all the workers were unfamiliar faces. She didn't recognize any of them. Only the Zhang tofu maker and his family of three were still working hard in the tofu shop, while the rest of the workers had been replaced by younger people.

After strolling around the tofu shop for a while, Qian Duoduo returned home. As soon as she got home, she couldn't wait to suggest to Qian Sheng that they stay in Harbin for a while first, and then go to Beijing together for the New Year. Qian Sheng and Jin Jinxiu exchanged glances, but Qian Sheng hesitated and finally refused, saying, "Old girl, your mother and I will stay in our old home in Beian Village for the New Year. Why bother going all the way to Beijing?"

Hearing this, Qian Duoduo quickly waved her hand and eagerly explained, "Dad, listen to me! I've already contacted my second brother, and he said that he and his wife are also going to Beijing to celebrate the New Year with the kids this year. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our whole family could gather in Beijing and celebrate the New Year together in a lively and joyful atmosphere!"

Upon hearing this, Qian Sheng's face showed hesitation, and he pondered inwardly. His gaze slowly shifted to Jin Jinxiu beside him. After a brief but intense internal struggle, Qian Sheng seemed to have made up his mind, slapping his thigh and exclaiming, "Alright! Let's go to Beijing to celebrate the New Year together!" However, as soon as he finished speaking, his brows furrowed slightly, and he turned to look at Pinduoduo, asking with a hint of worry, "Will your eldest brother, third brother, and fourth brother be able to make it back?"

Qian Duoduo shook her head slightly and replied helplessly, "Sigh, my eldest brother and sister-in-law are too busy with work in Pengcheng. The Spring Festival holiday is only a few days long, and it would be too hectic to travel back and forth by plane. Besides..." She paused, then explained, "My third brother's family and the fourth family are also in Pengcheng. They are very busy before the Spring Festival, so they have decided to spend the Spring Festival together in Pengcheng this year."

After hearing this, Qian Sheng nodded thoughtfully, indicating his understanding: "Hmm, that makes sense. Well then, that's good too. As long as the family is together, it doesn't really matter where we spend the New Year."

Having made the decision to leave Beian Village, the family bustled with activity in the days that followed. Smoke curled from the chimneys every day, filling the air with enticing aromas that lingered for a long time. The neighbors, drawn by the tempting smells, drooled with envy, but were also thoroughly annoyed by the disturbance.

Of course, Wang Qiaofen also came to visit. When she learned that the eldest son of the Qian family was not selling his house, she was very unhappy. She went home and complained to Li Dafa, who scolded her. She felt uncomfortable and thought that if she ran into Jin Jinxiu, she would give her a good scolding.

To her surprise, Jin Jinxiu stayed at home and prepared diligently for ten days, and everything was finally ready.

On a bright and sunny morning, villagers gathered under a large tree at the entrance of Beian Village. Even though the weather was slightly chilly, they looked at each other with reluctance and longing. They held the hands of Qian Sheng's family, repeatedly reminding them to be careful and take care of themselves while they were away.

With the roar of engines, three brand-new cars slowly drove out of the village, their wheels kicking up clouds of dust. Watching the cars disappear into the distance, the villagers stood there for a long time, until the vehicles vanished around the bend at the end of the road.

After Qian Duoduo returned to Harbin in a flurry of activity, she and her companions moved into a courtyard near the university. In the days that followed, Qian Duoduo made the most of this precious time, spending a full month closely following Professor Yuan and immersing herself wholeheartedly in the relevant research.

What happened during this time truly astonished and broadened the horizons of Professor Yuan's graduate students who were present! Everyone exclaimed, "So this is the true strength of our professor's star pupil!" Many things they had never even considered, Qian Duoduo had already thoroughly considered and meticulously analyzed the data. Even more astonishingly, she solved a problem that had plagued them for two years in just one month. Faced with such outstanding performance, these graduate students, while feeling a little envious, were mostly ashamed of their own limitations.

When they learned by chance that this senior sister actually held several research patents, their admiration surged up like a tidal wave and they could no longer suppress it.

The New Year's Day holiday arrived as scheduled, and the whole city was filled with a festive and peaceful atmosphere. Qian Duoduo stood by the bed, quietly watching the snowflakes falling outside the window. A complex emotion welled up in her heart. She really missed her sons. Although she often called them, this long separation had indeed made the little ones feel wronged.

After a period of busy work, she realized that her teacher no longer needed her assistance. So, she took a deep breath, resolutely walked to Professor Yuan's office, and sincerely said, "Professor, I think I have nothing more to do here, so I'll leave and give my juniors some room to work."

Professor Yuan looked up, his gaze gently falling on Qian Duoduo. He nodded slightly, and upon hearing her words, his smile deepened. He explained with a smile, "You're quite capable, girl. The experimental project is almost finished, so I can't leave the school yet. But that's alright, you can practice more in the future!"
