Chapter 82 Qian Duoduo: Helping Third Brother Pinch Off the Rotten Peach Blossoms!

The brigade leader's wife returned from helping her daughter-in-law during her postpartum period, much to the anticipation of many in the village.

But the oxcart returned, and the brigade leader, the two brothers Qian Mao and Qian Rao, were sitting on it. But who was that beautifully dressed woman?

She looks a bit like the brigade leader's wife, but her outfit doesn't match!

When the oxcart stopped in front of the brigade leader's house, Qian Duoduo, who was already on summer vacation, saw Jin Jinxiu get off the oxcart and immediately went up to her, took her arm, and said, "Mom, how come you've become so beautiful? When we walk together, people think you're my older sister."

Jin Jinxiu was very happy to hear the old maid's words, but she still smiled and patted Qian Duoduo's head, saying, "That's nice to say, but don't say it again."

The others moved their things into Qian Duoduo's room. Why? Because her room was relatively the innermost. Even if someone came to visit, they wouldn't go into Qian Duoduo's room to look around.

Before long, several groups of people arrived at Qian Sheng's house. The first group was He Ying and Guo Ni, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Then came some aunts and older women from the village who were close to Jin Jinxiu. Finally, there were some people who were particularly eager to know what the brigade leader's wife had brought back.

Of course, this last type of person can only be considered disappointed, because they didn't see anything.

Jin Jinxiu gave Qian Mao and Qian Rao a thumbs up for their efforts, while Wen Yugui busied herself pouring water for everyone who arrived first and last.

No one could say anything about etiquette, but only Wen Yugui knew in her heart who was the sweet treat and who was the plain water.

Jin Jinxiu returned to Beian Village, and matchmakers from all around came to propose marriage to Qian Mao.

Jin Jinxiu was quite happy, but she could also tell that the third son wasn't interested in marriage. She first pulled Qian Sheng aside and asked, "What about the third son's marriage? The fourth son's son has already been born, and he still doesn't have a girlfriend."

Qian Sheng scratched the hair on his head: "I don't know either. I was just thinking that since our third son works in the county government, he should be able to choose a wife from the county too."

Upon hearing Qian Sheng's words, Jin Jinxiu's eyes lit up, and she said, "Why don't you just say you can be the brigade leader? Your thinking is definitely better than mine. My vision is still in our village and around here, while you've already set your sights on the county."

Qian Sheng liked Jin Jinxiu's way of speaking the most, so he smiled and said, "Let's try not to interfere too much in Lao San's marriage. Lao San still has good judgment. Besides, Lao San is more decisive than us. He was able to get this job on his own, so we believe he can find us a good daughter-in-law."

Jin Jinxiu said, "Is it really that easy to find a good daughter-in-law?"

Qian Sheng laughed: "Marriage is all about fate. Look, the eldest, second, and fourth sons all found their own partners. I haven't met the second son's family, but the eldest and fourth sons' families seem to be good kids now. There's a saying that goes, 'What kind of thing is thunder, how can people be distinguished?'"

Jin Jinxiu was confused: "Old man, what are you talking about? I understood the first half, but I don't understand the rest."

Qian Sheng waved his hand: "I don't even know what I said in the end. Oh well, whatever!"

Jin Jinxiu shook her head somewhat confusedly and didn't continue the topic. However, after that, when matchmakers came to her door, Jin Jinxiu wasn't as enthusiastic as she had been at the beginning.

This puzzled the villagers. Were the village head and his wife not worried about Qian Laosan's marriage? Or did Qian Laosan already have a girlfriend in the county town, so his family wasn't in a hurry?

However, instead of receiving news about Qian Mao's marriage, they received even more shocking news: Qian Mao had been chosen by a leader from the provincial capital, who directly transferred him from the county propaganda department to her side as her secretary.

Where is that? That's the provincial capital! The Qian family is going to rise to prominence this time.

Those who wanted to marry into the Qian family relentlessly pursued Qian Sheng and Jin Jinxiu, trying to sell their own daughters. They knew that once Qian Mao went to the provincial capital, he would have a city household registration. He was practically on his way to the top, if not in a flash. Even a small amount of money from a son-in-law like that would be enough for their families to live a life of luxury.

Qian Duoduo looked at the girl who brought him the things, but did not reach out to take them. Instead, he said, "Sister Taohua, your family has it tough too. You always say that my third brother saved your life back then. Have you never thought that your father didn't beat you because my father was the brigade leader and he didn't want to be assigned to carry manure by my father?"

Liu Taohua said, "Duoduo, it was because of your third brother's righteous words that my father was able to spare my life. I will always remember this kindness."

Qian Duoduo laughed in anger. This woman had four girls and one boy in her own family, and they all wanted to be "brother-supporting demons." How could her family possibly agree to her third brother marrying such a person, becoming in-laws with someone who wanted to drain the family's coffers to make up for their own?

She often brings up the fact that her third brother stopped her father from hitting her when he was eight years old, which is really annoying. You're not a fairy, you don't even have half the beauty of your fourth sister-in-law, yet you want to use moral blackmail and act like a white lotus all the time. Who gave you the courage, Fish Leong?

Seeing Qian Duoduo smile, Liu Taohua held up the egg in her hand and said, "Duoduo, I know your third brother has gone to the provincial capital and is doing very well. I don't expect anything from him, after all, we're worlds apart. I'm just showing you some concern as your older sister!"

Qian Duoduo looked at the crowd that had gathered to watch the commotion not far away, and after a moment's thought, she said helplessly, "Sister Taohua, look at what you're saying. When my third brother was eight years old, he heard stories of heroes from the War of Resistance Against Japan. He also has a hero complex, otherwise he wouldn't have led the older brothers in the village all over the village."
