Chapter 139 To be silenced

Xu Xiangyang was pushed into the house, and then he felt someone kick him from behind, right at the back of his leg. He instinctively knelt down.

But how could he obediently kneel down? He just lay down on his stomach, since he wasn't fully recovered anyway, he might as well just lie down.

A real man kneels to heaven, earth, and his parents; how could he possibly kneel to these people?

Maybe it's even a beast!

To launch a sneak attack under the cover of night—is that something a human being would do?

If it weren't for his boundless love and compassion for all living beings, he would have sent those two people to their deaths long ago.

After Xu Xiangyang lay down, everyone in the room was stunned.

The person who kicked him immediately pulled him up, but Xu Xiangyang sat down on the ground again.

Everyone: ...

Sitting in front of Xu Xiangyang was a man who looked to be in his fifties, bald, wearing a white T-shirt and black cloth shoes.

Although he doesn't look particularly striking, his imposing presence proves that he is no ordinary person.

Xu Xiangyang believed he hadn't offended such a person, especially since he rarely came to Haicheng and had never caused any trouble.

The man in front of him sized him up and asked in a deep voice, "What's your name?"

Xu Xiangyang was stunned for a moment, clearly not expecting this person to ask him his name.

So you still don't know anything about him?

Thinking of this, he seemed frightened and said, "My name is Su Daqiang, comrade, what have I done to offend you?"

He looked around and saw that there were at least ten people in the room. How was he supposed to escape?

It seems his space is destined to be exposed tonight, but he doesn't want to do that.

Once the secret of his space is discovered, he'll probably be forced to wander the world for the rest of his life.

Thinking of his family, he absolutely could not do that.

“Su Daqiang…” the man repeated.

Just then, a burly man entered from outside. Xu Xiangyang recognized him as the man who had been guarding the gate earlier.

He said respectfully to the bald man, "Master Jin, he's here."

Jin Ye?

Xu Xiangyang frowned, feeling like he'd heard that name somewhere before.

However, in this era, anyone who can be called "Master" is a prominent figure.

Mr. Jin nodded. "Yes, let him in."

Then, that person turned and went out, and a moment later, another person appeared at the door.

When Xu Xiangyang saw this person, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

Isn't this the guy who sells opium on the black market? Could it be that he took the remaining two packets and got caught?

His face remained expressionless; he simply watched them silently.

Jin Ye glanced at Xu Xiangyang, and seeing that he was not acting strangely, he turned to look at the newcomer.

"Waiter, have you seen this person before?" he asked in a low voice.

The young man called Xiao Er looked at Xu Xiangyang carefully and said uncertainly, "I feel like I've seen him before, but I also feel like I haven't."

His uncertain demeanor displeased Master Jin.

Just as he was about to lash out, Xu Xiangyang stood up, ignoring the two young men pressing down on him from behind.

"You? You actually dare to show your face again! You stole my wallet that day and ran away!" Xu Xiangyang said with a look of righteous indignation, "You thief! I'm going to the police station to have you arrested!"

"Behave yourself!" The two people behind him reacted and immediately grabbed Xu Xiangyang.

The waiter remembered too – wasn't this the person he failed to steal from that day? He felt a pang of heartache thinking about how many coupons Xu Xiangyang had in his wallet back then.

I really regret that I was too slow and didn't manage to steal the wallet.

However, feeling guilty, he avoided looking at the person opposite him.

Upon seeing this, Jin frowned, then asked the two people behind Xu Xiangyang, "Does it really smell like that?"

They nodded without hesitation.

These words left Xu Xiangyang somewhat bewildered. What did they mean? He couldn't understand them at all.

However, upon seeing this young man and the two packs of opium in his own space, he could vaguely guess some things, but he couldn't be sure.

Could it be that Master Jin came for those two packs of opium?

Xu Xiangyang was unsure, but he absolutely could not hand this over.

"Young man, have you ever picked up anything strange?" Jin Ye looked at him with a deep gaze, as if he wanted to see right through him.

Xu Xiangyang was a man who had seen a lot, but even he couldn't help but feel his palms sweating at this moment.

As soon as Master Jin finished speaking, he didn't rush to answer. Instead, he looked at the person opposite him with a puzzled expression before shaking his head.

"No, what's wrong?"

This is the kind of reaction a normal person should have. It's obviously problematic to answer immediately after someone asks a question.

Master Jin looked back and forth between him and Xiao Er for a while, then had them taken away.

Xu Xiangyang was led into the living room, where no one came out. Besides the burly man pressing him down, the other person was an ordinary-looking young man called Xiao Er.

Xu Xiangyang looked around the room. Besides the inner room, there was also an outer room. There were only a few people in the room.

So how should he escape?

Inside the house.

Jin looked at the two people in front of him and asked, "Does Su Daqiang smell bad?"

“I’m sure he’s been exposed to opium; this smell is unmistakable.” Both men saw certainty in each other’s eyes.

Jin remained silent for a while, without saying anything.

He turned to the person next to him and said, "Take that Su Daqiang away and beat him up first. If he still won't talk, then deal with him. The same goes for that waiter. Who knows if he's hiding something and doesn't want to tell us?"

After saying that, he picked up the purple clay teapot next to him and leisurely took a sip from the spout.

The others immediately nodded, then turned and left.

Before Xu Xiangyang could even figure out how to create chaos and escape quietly, everyone inside came out.

He sighed, thinking that fate was simply not giving him a chance.

"Go!" The two men who had been holding him down were clearly no longer behaving themselves.

Those sinister eyes told you he was doomed.

Xu Xiangyang's heart skipped a beat. He was about to be taken to another house after leaving the first one.

He turned around, broke free of his restraints, and ran towards the back of the house.

Because there were still people in the courtyard, even if he ran towards the main gate, he would be caught by the people guarding the gate.

Since we're going to run anyway, why not run backwards?

Sure enough, there was no one behind the house.

Since Master Jin didn't tie him up, Xu Xiangyang is now considered free.

With his long legs, he took a long stride and, while the people behind him were still some distance away, he used a running start and somersault to fly over the 1.6-meter wall.

Xu Xiangyang thought he was incredibly handsome and cool at the time, it was simply indescribable!

However, he had never done such a difficult move before, and he almost fell flat on his face when he landed.

It was a close call; I almost failed to pull off the charade.

He steadied himself without looking around, and then quickly ran in one direction. After all, the people behind him were about to catch up, and if he didn't run, he would be caught again!
