Chapter 300 Ruthless and Silent

"Oh my god! It's so heavy!" Dong Er struggled to push the cart, looking quite distressed.

Xu Xiangyang glanced at his weight of over ninety pounds...

Well, this guy is too skinny.

It's still quite powerful, though; it can still move over 300 pounds.

“Mine is heavier.” Hei Zi was a big, strong man who pushed a 600-pound weight with no effort.

Dong Er rolled his eyes and said, "How can I compare to you? Your physique could destroy three of me!"

To be fair, those haters eat a lot, but they're also incredibly strong; they can do the work of two people.

Xu Xiangyang closed the truck door and instructed, "The inventory list is with Qian Wenqing. Go back and check it, and it's best not to alert anyone. Be careful and don't make me worry."

He didn't want to clean up their messes; he already had too much to do, and he was always running around after them.

After saying that, he drove off.

Qian Wenqing looked at the dust filling the air and couldn't help but cough twice.

My older brother is still my older brother; he's ruthless and doesn't talk much!

"Let's go, guys!" He lifted the cart, which weighed over 300 pounds, and walked back home, exhausted.

To be honest, what should have been a half-hour journey took them a full hour.

Lin Min hadn't slept. Knowing they were out busy, she rushed out to help when she heard the door open.

"Brother, you're back." She helped Xiaolin push the cart.

Xiao Lin said, "Little sister, move aside, this thing is heavy, don't touch it."

He was terrified that his little sister would get sick again; with her small frame, she couldn't withstand any more strain.

Dong Er, sweating profusely and panting, said, "Little Min, if you want to help, please help Brother Dong!"

The one who was most exhausted here was Dong Er. He was originally thin and small, and he didn't usually do much physical labor. This trip almost cost him his life!

Xiao Lin immediately said seriously, "Dong Er, don't you know my sister is in poor health? If something happens to her, will you cover her medical expenses?"

He glared at him, but Dong Er didn't take it seriously and replied with a grin, "Brother Lin, I was just joking! Don't take it so seriously! I'll push it myself!"

Since they were already inside the hospital, it didn't matter where they parked. Dong Er simply placed the cart at the entrance and locked the door.

The group was exhausted, so they rested for a while, drank some water, and then started working again.

There's a storage room in their yard that's usually empty. Several people cleaned it out this afternoon; the floor is all cement, so it's rat-proof.

It was already past midnight when the group moved the items into the warehouse.

Lin Min cooked noodles for everyone and worked half the night. She was really starving.

No one washed their faces and started eating right away.

After the meal, Qian Wenqing took out the list that Xu Xiangyang had given him before he left.

This sight was astonishing; his eyes immediately widened.

"Holy crap?!"

Unfortunately, this guy is uncultured; all he can say is "Holy crap!"

"What's wrong?" Everyone curiously gathered around, and upon seeing what was happening, they immediately started swearing.

"Is this true?" Dong Er swallowed hard. Although he had just finished eating, it didn't mean he was satisfied!

Plain noodles are delicious, but meat is even more flavorful!

"Canned pork, canned beef? Cornmeal? Oh my god!"

"And cured meat and stuff like that..."

"Did they rob some supply and marketing cooperative and grocery store?"

Qian Wenqing glared at Dong Er, "Don't you dare talk nonsense!"

He knew Xu Xiangyang well. Although he was curious about where these things came from, he was sure they weren't stolen.

Dong Er chuckled, "I was just kidding, just kidding!"

He was puzzled; these things certainly made him think, especially since supplies were so scarce at the time.

The others did the same, but they all wisely refrained from asking further questions.

As long as Xu Xiangyang keeps his word, and these things sell so well, how could they possibly not make money?

They all thought the same thing: if the goods sold well, the money would naturally go into their pockets!

Qian Wenqing swallowed hard, staring at them with a serious expression. "This is something only a few of us know about. If anyone else finds out, don't blame me for being lenient!"

Although his threats were ineffective, no one objected.

What they feared was Xu Xiangyang, a man with no background who had managed to acquire so much stuff.

What they usually see may not be the truth.

Especially Dong Er, who was never entirely honest to begin with, but now he can foresee what his future holds.

Working for a boss like that, how could you possibly starve? You'd be rolling in money!

If you do the math, in just three years... no, in just one year, he could marry a big, fierce wife!

The thought of this made his smile even more lewd.

"Can't you be serious for once?" Qian Wenqing gave him a disdainful look, then turned back to look at the list.

It's too late today, and the warehouse lights aren't on, so I won't go inventory the items.

However, he has to sleep in the barn tonight. It's not a matter of whether he believes it or not; it's simply that he doesn't believe it!

The others watched him go to sleep in the storeroom, and no one said anything. After all, these things were too valuable, and it was normal to be cautious.

The next morning, Xu Xiangyang told her about his plan to stay in the small courtyard across the street.

To avoid any overthinking, he explained the reason.

“I’ll probably be leaving early and coming home late a lot in the future. You can’t all please me at home, can you? You need to rest too. Anyway, we live right across the street, so I’ll just go home for dinner.”
