"Alright, we'll talk about this later," Xu Xiangyang said dismissively.
Director Li felt a chill run down his spine upon seeing this attitude.
But he couldn't say anything, lest he anger someone and be completely finished.
After agreeing on a restaurant, Xu Xiangyang first went to a state-run hotel and booked a room.
When you go out, you always need to get reimbursed, so these obvious things need to be arranged properly.
After staying at the hotel for a while, he watched two people go into the restaurant across the street, one of whom was Director Li.
Xu Xiangyang got dressed and went downstairs, then followed him inside.
He ordered a dish at random and sat down not far from the other two.
The person opposite Director Li didn't look familiar; in fact, they weren't someone he knew.
So why did this person want to cheat them?
Could it be that they simply don't like him? Or are they trying to sabotage Director Li?
All of this remains unknown.
Director Li sat in his chair, suppressing his anger while maintaining a forced smile and keeping Xu Xiangyang in mind.
Even from the side, you can tell how awkward he looks.
Anyone who didn't know better would think he was constipated.
"Director Li, you don't look well. What's wrong?" the man surnamed Wang on the other end of the line suddenly asked.
It's not that I didn't notice; after all, his complexion was just too terrible to ignore!
Director Li was immediately startled and quickly waved his hands, saying, "No, no! Haha..."
His smile seemed forced; even a fool could tell something was off about him.
The man surnamed Wang frowned, then looked at him with some suspicion.
Then, without saying anything, he simply nodded.
"Alright, Director Li, if there's anything you need, you must tell me."
This person speaks with a southern accent, like the accent of someone from the mall.
Xu Xiangyang thought about it and realized that he had never had any contact with people from the South.
Anyway, there's something strange about this whole thing, and something just doesn't feel right.
The two of them reluctantly ate their meal before leaving.
Xu Xiangyang followed him out and watched as Director Li parted ways with that person.
Director Li looked around, clearly indicating that something was wrong.
Xu Xiangyang ignored the idiot and followed the southerner.
In any case, as long as you stick with this person, you'll eventually find their flaws.
They arrived at a small house, and after the person went inside, Xu Xiangyang looked around.
The surrounding area is all residential housing, so you can't see anything clearly.
After thinking about it, he still didn't leave.
He found a secluded spot to enter the space, then changed his clothes and disguised himself.
Around 7 p.m., it gradually got dark.
The gate to the courtyard opened, and the person he had seen during the day came out. Xu Xiangyang quickly followed the person.
Unexpectedly, this man went to a widow's house, and the two of them lingered together for a long time before finally coming out.
That southerner was quite a troublemaker; he really gave the young widow a hard time.
Before he left, the widow mentioned that he was stingy and such...
Xu Xiangyang was completely baffled. What was all this about?
However, he had lost his patience. After the man had walked a short distance, he quickly went over, pinned him down, and knocked him unconscious.
The southerner didn't utter a single word from beginning to end.
The main problem is that Xu Xiangyang didn't give him a chance!
They led the group to the place where the southerners lived. They had already looked around and there was no one else there except for the men.
After tying the man up, Xu Xiangyang picked up a chair and splashed a basin of cold water on the southerner's face.
He then threw down the basin and sat down in the chair.
A southerner would wake up with a shiver when a basin of cold water was poured over him from head to toe.
He was walking along the road just now when he heard footsteps behind him, then his neck hurt and he lost consciousness.
Why did you suddenly go home?
Seeing the stranger in front of him, he was even more confused and didn't know where to begin.
"What's your name?" Xu Xiangyang asked casually.
The southerner shuddered. Even if he didn't understand what was going on, he could now see that this person was not someone to be trifled with!
He stammered, "Wang, Wang Jinxi."
"Comrade, what do you want? I can give it to you. We don't know each other, do we?"
His tone carried a hint of fear; after all, it was late at night, and who knew whether this person wanted money or his life?
He wouldn't bear to do either way!
I just left two yuan at the young widow's house; that's enough for two more meals at a restaurant.
He's not going to live any longer; he hasn't lived enough yet.
Xu Xiangyang sneered and said sarcastically, "What do you have?"
Does he look like someone who's short of money?
Wang Jinxi was stunned. What did he have?
Xu Xiangyang didn't want to waste any more words with him, so he went up and kicked Wang Jinxi in the shoulder.
That kick made the person cry from the pain.
"Have mercy, my sir! I'll give you everything, I'll give you the money!" he cried, tears and snot streaming down his face.
Xu Xiangyang stood to the side, not moving an inch, and asked, "Who told you to look for Director Li? If you don't tell me, I'll break your arm!"
He spoke through gritted teeth, his words dripping with threat!
Wang Jinxi had never seen anything like this before. He immediately chickened out!
"Yes, it was a man surnamed Cao, someone I met in Haicheng. He gave me a hundred yuan to do this. The money is still in my bag, you can have it all!"
Someone surnamed Cao?
Xu Xiangyang immediately knew who this person was!
Good heavens, he hasn't even had time to cause trouble for Cao Yajun yet, and this guy dares to mess with him?
"Crack!"
"Ah!!" Wang Jinxi screamed in agony!
