Chapter 25 Arrival (I)

Liu Laogen asked curiously, "Who are you, kid?"

Lin Feng said: "This is his second brother's child."

"Oh, that's how it is. Come up then."

Lin Feng nodded and said, "Thank you!" Then he carried Lu Haoyu onto the ox cart and he also sat on it.

Lin Feng's social skills are still very good. In addition, he was interested in finding out the news about the village. When the women were gossiping on the ox cart, he took the opportunity to strike up a conversation and then successfully broke into the women's gossip group chat. When the women asked him questions, he calmly responded to the questions asked by the women on the ox cart.

What were the questions? Just where did you live, what was your name, and what were you doing here?

Lin Feng was gossiping with the group, successfully gathering a wealth of information about the village. He was particularly impressed by the news that his brother, Lu Zhenchuan, was already married. How long had he been in the countryside? He was the first of his brothers to marry, and even married into the family? Damn, is it going to rain red? Lu Zhenchuan was the overlord of the military region, someone who even dared to scold his father. While they were out having fun, he'd already joined the army, a breath of fresh air among the imperial princes. And now he was actually married.

Lu Haoyu had just left home and was not very talkative. He was surrounded by unfamiliar people and only had Uncle Lin with him. However, he had already known the news of his fifth uncle's marriage. His mother told him this in private before he left.

Having said that, Lu Zhenchuan is a real bastard. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, he wrote a letter and mailed it back to the Lu family along with the mooncakes prepared by his wife. The letter was four pages long, three of which were spent showing off the fact that he had a wife, which made his father Lu Baihua want to take him out for some training.

Shanqiao Village.

Gu Yu'an saw that the time agreed upon with his friends was almost up and said, "Dad, I'm leaving now. My friends are still waiting for me."

Gu Ranzhou said, "Well, be careful and don't fall while playing."

"Okay." Gu Yu'an carried the small kettle filled with sweet water prepared by Gu Ranzhou.

"An An, remember that uncle's surname is Lin, and his name is Lin Feng. That brother has the same surname as me, and his name is Lu Haoyu. Do you understand?"

Gu Yu'an nodded and said, "Yeah, I know. I know who the big dad is. My uncle's name is Lin Feng, and my brother's name is Lu Haoyu."

Gu Ranzhou had just filled a small kettle with water and brought it out from the kitchen.

Gu Yu'an saw his father carrying out a beautiful little kettle from the kitchen and exclaimed in surprise, "Dad, what is this? It's so beautiful! I've never seen this before."

Gu Ranzhou felt a bit bitter in his heart. What a poor child, he didn't even have a kettle. In the future, our An'an must have everything that others have, and our An'an will also have everything that others don't have. Gu Ranzhou secretly made up his mind.

Gu Ranzhou nodded and walked over with the kettle in his hand: "The kettle, Dad bought it from the mall."

Gu Yu'an asked with bright eyes: "Is this for me, Dad?"

Gu Ranzhou walked over to An An, asked him to carry the kettle, and said, "Well, do you like it?"

Gu Yu'an, carrying a small water bottle, smiled sweetly and said, "I like it."

Gu Yu'an happily carried the small water bottle his father gave him and said, "Dad, I'm leaving first." He turned around and ran out of the house.

Gu Ranzhou was originally afraid that An An would get tired and thirsty after playing and run home to drink water. He was afraid that he would be too tired from running around, so he simply prepared a small water bottle for him to carry on his back. If he didn't want to carry it, he could hang it around his neck. The small water bottle was quite beautiful and probably the only one of its kind in the village.

Gu Ranzhou saw the small water bottle Gu Yu'an was carrying, and thought of the past. He had originally planned to buy that small water bottle at the mall as a gift for his young disciple when he returned to the Dao Sect. It wasn't much bigger than An'an, but unfortunately, something happened and he couldn't give it to her. Now in his hands, it was a good gift for An'an to drink water from, so it was worth buying it.

Village entrance.

A dark-skinned child asked, "An An, what are you carrying?"

Gu Yu'an nodded proudly: "This is the small kettle my father bought for me at the mall."

Goudan, who played better with Gu Yuan, asked, "It's so beautiful, can I touch it?"

Gu Yu'an nodded and said, "Okay, then. Feel it. Be careful! My dad just bought it, and I just saw it now."

Several children nodded: "Yeah."

After seeing Gu Yu'an's small kettle, everyone even rushed to touch it.

Several children were taking turns playing hopping airplanes, but one or two of them were looking at the road to the village entrance. Today was market day and they were waiting for their parents to come back from the town, wondering if they would buy anything good.

Their family is not like Gu Yuan's family, where they have one or two candies in their pockets from time to time. They may only have half a candy a month, or a whole candy for several months, or even no candy at all.

Just like when Gu Yu'an came with the small water bottle just now, they all looked at him with envy. Every time his father went to town, he would bring him delicious food and fun things.

Gu Yu'an also looked towards the road back to the village entrance from time to time, and this action aroused Xiaopang's doubts.

Xiaopang walked over to Gu Yu'an, sat beside him and asked, "An'an, what's wrong with you? Isn't your father home? Why are you looking at the village entrance?"

Gu Yu'an took a sip of water from the small kettle and said, "Yes, I'm at home. My dad said that I will have a brother coming today and he will live with us from now on."

When Goudan heard the word "brother", he immediately ran over and asked, "Brother?"

"Is your big daddy's son?"

Gu Yu'an explained: "No, he is the son of my eldest father's brother."

Xiaopang nodded and said, "Oh, so that's how it is." Then he asked, "Now that you have a brother, will you still play with us in the future?"

Gu Yu'an said, "Of course, aren't we good friends? Why don't we play together? If I think the little brother is easy to get along with, I'll bring him along to play with you guys."

"Then it's settled. I'll come to play with you later. Don't ignore me."

Gu Yu'an nodded and said, "Don't worry, it won't happen."

While the children were talking, an ox cart slowly approached the village entrance. The bumpy road made the cart's movement less stable, so it moved very slowly.

Suddenly, the child with a dark yellow complexion saw a bullock cart moving not far away and shouted loudly: "He's back, he's back."

Suddenly another voice sounded: "My mother is back."

Several people ran towards the ox cart one after another.

"My mother and my sister are back too."

After hearing this, Xiaopang stood up and wanted to run over, but then he saw Gu Yu'an sitting there without moving and asked, "An'an, aren't you going over?"

Gu Yu'an shook his head and hugged the kettle, explaining, "No, Dad told me not to leave the village. Anyway, the oxcart will have to pass through the village entrance before entering, so I'll wait here."

After hearing Gu Yu'an's explanation, Xiaopang suddenly didn't want to move: "You are right." Then he sat back next to Gu Yu'an.
