Chapter 51 The Origin of the Little Wolf Cub (I)

The three of them carried the pork they were given home. As soon as they got home, they each did their own thing. Gu Ranzhou went into the kitchen to cook. After Lin Feng put the things away, he went out to the old men's place to pick up the two children. Lu Zhenchuan went to take a shower because the smell on his body was too strong.

Except for Gu Ranzhou who knew that there was a little wolf cub in the house, no one else noticed that a little white ball suddenly appeared in the yard.

The little wolf cub only knew Gu Ranzhou. After Gu Ranzhou walked into the kitchen, it ran in behind him. Gu Ranzhou was washing rice when he turned around and saw the little wolf cub fluttering at his feet on the ground. It was so eye-catching. After all, the little wolf cub had white fur, just like a snowball!

But Gu Ranzhou had no time to pay attention to it at this time. After all, he had to cook and could only face the little wolf cub. "Go play in the yard first. I'm busy now and don't have time to pay attention to you."

"Ouch."

But the little wolf cub was still fluttering around his feet, following him like a little tail. Gu Ranzhou looked at the little ball in front of him and sighed, "Be good and go out first. The little master will be back soon. If you follow me now, I will be busy later and won't be able to take care of you. You are still young now, and it would be bad if I accidentally stepped on you."

The little wolf cub looked at Gu Ranzhou with its big round eyes. Although it didn't understand, it knew that its master was very busy and had no time to play with it.

Seeing that the little wolf cub still didn't leave, Gu Ranzhou had no choice but to take out a small piece of beef jerky from his space and throw it to the little wolf cub, "Here, eat it! After you finish eating, go out obediently and wait for the little master to come back in the yard."

The beef jerky was thrown into the wolf cub's mouth. The wolf cub bit the beef jerky, turned around and slowly walked out of the kitchen.

Gu Ranzhou continued to work only after the wolf cub left.

The little wolf cub returned to the yard, and suddenly the gate of the yard was pushed open. Lin Feng walked in with two children. The little wolf cub who was eating beef jerky slowly turned his head and looked at them.

Gu Yu'an was the first to come in, bounding through the door. As he entered, he saw a small white ball not far away, minding its own business. Suddenly, it shouted, "Ah!"

Lin Feng and Lu Haoyu were both startled by Gu Yu'an's cry and asked anxiously, "An'an, what's wrong?"

Gu Yu'an ran over, picked up the little girl, and showed her to them, "Brother, look, it's a puppy!"

Lin Feng hadn't expected a puppy to suddenly appear at home. "Really?"

Lin Feng didn't look carefully, so he didn't know it was a wolf. But Lu Haoyu could tell at a glance that what Gu Yu'an was holding in his arms was not a dog at all, but a wolf. He suddenly shouted, "An An, put it down."

Gu Yu'an held the little white ball in his arms, unwilling to let go, "No, brother, this dog is so cute!" He didn't want it. His father had brought home a litter of rabbits before, but he wouldn't allow him to raise rabbits. Now he had a dog, and if he told his father that he wanted to raise it, his father would definitely let him raise it.

Lu Haoyu said softly to Gu Yu'an, "Put it down, it's not a dog, it's a wolf."

Gu Yu'an said, "Ah, what is a wolf? It's obviously a puppy!" Gu Yu'an didn't know the difference between wolves and dogs. He only knew that there was a big yellow dog at the entrance of the village, so he subconsciously thought that what he was holding in his arms was a puppy.

Lin Feng glanced at it casually, then froze: "This is obviously a dog, wait a minute."

A wolf's ears stand upright and roughly parallel, unlike a dog's ears which usually hang down. Also, a dog's tail hangs upright and curls upward, while a wolf's tail hangs down and trails behind.

The little cub in Gu Yu'an's arms had white fur, but its ears were standing upright and its tail was drooping, which confirmed that it was a wolf cub.

Lin Feng shouted worriedly: "An An, put it down quickly."

Unfortunately, the little wolf cub stayed obediently in Gu Yu'an's arms and didn't understand what they were saying at all. He just tried to hold the beef jerky with his two little paws and put it into his mouth. His little head kept shaking, and he looked extremely hungry. Lin Feng and Lu Haoyu were afraid that the little wolf cub in Gu Yu'an's arms would suddenly attack Gu Yu'an.

On the other side, Gu Ranzhou had already prepared two dishes. When he was about to fry another one, he suddenly heard something happening outside the kitchen. Gu Ranzhou came out of the kitchen directly with a spatula in hand.

"What's wrong?"

Gu Yu'an's eyes sparkled as he called out, "Dad."

Gu Ranzhou heard a hint of pleading in his son's voice and was about to speak when he heard it.

"Uncle (Brother Gu) has a wolf."

Gu Ranzhou was stunned after hearing what the two people said. Wolf?

Lu Zhenchuan had just come out of the shower when he saw the situation and asked, "What's wrong with you? What happened?"

The big one and the small one turned to Lu Zhenchuan and said, "Uncle Zhenchuan has a wolf."

Lu Zhenchuan was startled after hearing what they said. He had not expected the wolf on the mountain to suddenly come down. He then asked, "What? Where is it?"

Seeing their nervous expressions, Gu Ranzhou remembered the wolf cub and explained to them, "Why are you so anxious? I brought that wolf cub back home. Don't worry, it won't hurt anyone."

Several people finally breathed a sigh of relief, "Did you bring it back?"

Gu Ranzhou nodded with a spatula in his hand and said, "Yes, it is."

Lu Zhenchuan wanted to say something but was interrupted by Gu Ranzhou's voice.

Suddenly, Gu Ranzhou smelled something burnt and shouted, "Oh, my food! If you have anything to say, let's talk about it later while we eat. It's just a little wolf cub and won't hurt anyone."

After Gu Ranzhou finished speaking, he hurried into the kitchen to save his food.

Although Lu Haoyu heard his uncle say that the wolf cub would not hurt anyone, he was still a little worried and wanted to ask Gu Yu'an to put the wolf cub down: "An'an."

Gu Yu'an stroked the wolf cub's back and said to Lu Haoyu, "Brother, come over and pet it too. It won't bite."

Lu Haoyu originally wanted to refuse, but later he couldn't resist Gu Yu'an's pleading eyes and nodded, and walked over: "An... An'an, okay!"

Lin Feng said to Lu Zhenchuan, "Is he unable to keep up? Is he ready to raise wolves now?"

Lu Zhenchuan touched his nose. He hadn't expected his wife to be so wild. "Okay, go take a shower first. My wife said we'll explain it to her when we eat."

Lin Feng looked at the wolf cub in Gu Yu'an's arms with a strange look in his eyes. "Alright then, you can just take care of these two kids. Even though Brother Gu said the wolf cub won't hurt anyone, someone still needs to watch over it."
