Xu Jianguo first put the materials in his hand in order, then took out a dozen notebooks with translation content written on them and stacked them in order of number.
Then he walked out of the room, stood at the door, and shouted to the guard at the stairs at the end of the corridor: "Comrade, I have an urgent matter that I need to report to the commander immediately. Please help me report it, thank you!"
It was already early morning, but Xu Jianguo had no scruples at all. However, in order not to alert the enemy, he tried to use a calm tone and did not show any uneasiness.
"Okay, Comrade Xu Jianguo, please wait!" said the guard soldier, and then ran up the stairs.
Xu Jianguo returned to the room but did not close the door. He paced back and forth in the room with a frown on his face. After more than ten minutes, footsteps were heard in the corridor.
Xu Jianguo stopped and waited at the door. Wu Dajiang and Zhao Gang came over and said seriously, "Jianguo, what happened?"
"Chief, is there any wine in the base? I'm tired and want to have a drink with you!" Xu Jianguo stared into Wu Dajiang's eyes and said with a smile.
"Hahaha, kid, are you missing home? Zhao Gang, go to my room and get a bottle of wine, and prepare some snacks for us!" Wu Dajiang is a veteran with decades of experience in fighting against enemies. Xu Jianguo's abnormal behavior made him feel nervous, and he cooperated and said.
"Yes!" Zhao Gang agreed, and after giving a few instructions to the guard soldier not far away, he left quickly.
As soon as Zhao Gang left, two fully armed soldiers stood at the door of Xu Jianguo's room.
After Wu Dajiang entered the room, Xu Jianguo closed the door and said loudly, "Chief, please sit down!"

Wu Dajiang sat on the bed and Xu Jianguo sat on the chair. Then he took out a notebook, tore a page from the back, and began to write on the paper with a pen.
Wu Dajiang looked at the words Xu Jianguo wrote on the paper, and his brows gradually frowned, and the frown became tighter and tighter.
After Xu Jianguo finished writing, Wu Dajiang took the pen from him and wrote on the paper: "Are you sure?"
"What I can be sure of is that the Parrot Script data is indeed missing, but I cannot be sure when it was lost. If we look at the worst-case scenario, if there is a problem with the data at the base, then the situation will be serious!" Xu Jianguo took out another pen and wrote on the paper.
Wu Dajiang's face was so gloomy that it seemed like water could drip out of it. He turned over the paper covered with words on the table and continued writing: "Do you have anyone to suspect?"
Xu Jianguo shook his head, but still wrote on the paper: "The person with the greatest suspicion is me!"
"You and I know the current situation. If you are innocent, then the third person who knows about this matter must be the culprit. So before the matter is investigated clearly, just pretend that it never happened and continue to do the rest of your work!" Wu Dajiang took the notebook and tore off another page of paper and wrote.
He thought for a moment, then continued writing on the paper, "We can proceed in three steps: First, you continue translating the remaining Parrot manuscripts; Second, I will report to my superiors and secretly investigate the missing data. I'm afraid you'll have to bear with me during the investigation; Third, I will consult Professor Lin to determine whether the missing data is significant and whether independent research and development is possible."
When Xu Jianguo saw this, he couldn't help but admire Wu Dajiang. Being able to grasp the key to the problem in such a short time is an ability that not everyone can have.
Xu Jianguo raised his hand and gave a thumbs-up, which made Wu Dajiang smile bitterly.
"Knock knock knock!" There was a knock on the door.
Xu Jianguo put away his pen, crumpled up the paper on the table and stuffed it into his pocket, then went over to open the door.
Outside the door, Zhao Gang was holding a lunch box in his left hand, with two pairs of chopsticks pressing on his thumb, a bottle of Xifeng liquor in his right hand, and two enamel jars hanging on his middle finger.
Xu Jianguo grinned, stepped aside, and said, "Brother Zhao, thank you!"
"You're welcome! A string that's too tight will easily break. You really should relax a little!" Zhao Gang said with a smile.
"You're right!"
After Zhao Gang put the things down, he left. Xu Jianguo opened the lunch box and found that it contained fried peanuts.
He handed the chopsticks to Wu Dajiang, then unscrewed the lid and poured white wine into both cups.
Wu Dajiang was about to pick up the wine glass when he was stopped by Xu Jianguo. He looked at Xu Jianguo with some confusion.
"Commander, this is an emergency, so it's better not to drink. Just rinse your mouth and sprinkle some wine on your body. The more relaxed we appear, the more likely the enemy will reveal their true colors." Xu Jianguo wrote on the paper.
Wu Dajiang looked at Xu Jianguo in front of him with a hint of admiration in his eyes. This was truly the most outstanding young man he had ever met in his life. He was calm, steady and wise, and did not look like a young man at all.
Nodding, Wu Dajiang took the cup and took a big sip of the white wine, then wanted to spit the white wine back into the cup, but he didn't expect Xu Jianguo to directly take out his washbasin and motioned him to spit into the basin.
Wu Dajiang nodded at him with a smile and spat out the two bottles of liquor.
Xu Jianguo smiled and said nothing. He also followed his example, rinsing his mouth with white wine and then spitting it into the basin.
In this way, the two of them ate peanuts, rinsed their mouths with white wine in small sips, and chatted on white paper with pens.
About an hour later, Wu Dajiang sat up from the bed. Xu Jianguo took the remaining white wine on the table, poured it into his hands, and sprinkled it on his clothes.
After the two looked at each other, Wu Dajiang opened the door and walked out. Xu Jianguo followed closely behind him and put the notebook in his hand into Zhao Gang's arms.
