Xu Jianguo did not go back to the ward directly, but came to the dean's office. He needed to meet with Gong Shoucheng to talk about Funiu's discharge from the hospital.

Xu Jianguo sat in a chair, and Gong Shoucheng said, "Jianguo, your commander called me. Technically, you're Funiu's parent, so I shouldn't stop you. But I hope you understand that she's not in a good condition to travel long distances, and it's very likely to worsen her condition."

"When I came back just now, I went to the dean's office and told him about Funiu's discharge from the hospital."
