As time went on, the temperature in the Sea of Death became lower and lower. Xu Jianguo and the old Taoist priest walked forward on the yellow sand, chatting in low voices. From time to time, some scattered animal bones appeared at their feet, and he even found a tattered military canvas bag.
He thought there might be some belongings of the deceased in the bag, but when he picked it up, he found that the backpack was already worn out and there was nothing in it.
Everything seemed to be warning him, telling him to always be vigilant in this sea of death.

Xu Jianguo's eyes can see at night. In his eyes, the cave is dark and damp, and the ground is as soft as the beach wet by the sea water.

Xu Jianguo and the old Taoist priest stopped and looked cautiously into the depths of the cave. The sound gradually became clearer, like a rustling sound, as if something was moving in the cave.
Just as the old Taoist raised his flashlight and shone it into the cave, Xu Jianguo, with the help of his night vision glasses, discovered the strange scene inside the cave.
I saw clusters of strange plants emerging from the rock wall deep in the cave, spreading all the way towards the cave entrance. Some of these plants were covered with sharp thorns, while others emitted a faint fluorescent light.
The temperature, which had dropped after nightfall, became even lower with the appearance of these plants. Xu Jianguo and the old Taoist priest, standing at the entrance of the cave, could clearly feel a cold breath sweeping through the cave, which seemed to contain endless evil power.
The old Taoist priest raised his flashlight, turned his head and looked at Xu Jianguo beside him, swallowed his saliva and asked, "Boy, what are these things?"
Xu Jianguo looked at the old Taoist's trembling lips as he spoke, and the breath coming out of his mouth due to the sudden drop in temperature. He couldn't help but feel a little funny and said, "Master, are you scared?"
"Bullshit! I'm cold!" said the old Taoist priest unhappily.
Xu Jianguo stopped joking and said, "I don't know what these are, but it's obvious that they are plants that prefer shade to sun."
"What should we do? Should we go in or not?" asked the old Taoist priest.
Xu Jianguo didn't say anything. He looked at his watch and found that it was almost two in the morning. So he said, "It will be dawn in a few hours. I think it won't be a big deal. Let's wait until dawn before going in!"
"Okay, I'll listen to you. Shall we go back now?" the old Taoist priest continued to ask.
"I'm not that sleepy now, and since we're here, let's walk around and see if we can find anything!" Xu Jianguo said.
"Okay!" the old Taoist priest agreed.
Xu Jianguo looked around and prepared to take the old Taoist priest deeper into the sandstone canyon.
Just as they were about to explore further, a low roar suddenly came from the depths of the cave, as if a giant beast was hiding in the dark cave.
Xu Jianguo and the old Taoist priest paused and looked at each other unconsciously. Both of them felt a hint of tension in each other's eyes.
Xu Jianguo took out the black iron dagger from his waist, held it tightly in his hand, and prepared to deal with possible dangers.
The old Taoist priest also took off the whisk hanging on his waist, grasped the handle with his right hand and twisted it gently, pulling out a short sword from it.
Just when the two were on full alert, the sound came from the cave again. This time the sound was very soft, and it sounded like something was hitting the stones, making a "click-click" sound.
As the sound got closer, Xu Jianguo saw a figure walking out from the depths of the cave.
This was an old monk wearing a black monk's robe and black Buddhist beads hanging on his chest. The first time Xu Jianguo saw him, he felt a strange feeling in his heart.
